Can you give more info on the helicopter - how is it controlled, is it a UCS stand? Does it have a control center, is it new or do they use existing PF parts?

That's it, the back is black and flows to greenish front, hard to say whether it's regular green or some new rather dark tone green...oh, and there is a wing on the back.

The getaway pullback seems quite nice, like a hotrod, someone said yellow rims, I saw orange... "Police" pullback is nothing police-like SUV, except for the red and blue lights on top...

The jet looks weird to me, but might be a good lime parts pack.

That mine excavator thing looked unfinished to me, has a grabber in front instead of a bucket, wheelz are same as on the Arocs. Yellow rims are back, whole machine is mostly yellow.

That speed boat seemed white, covered with stickers, in line fake cylinder engine at the back, don't recall the number of cylinders.

The gokart is also quite covered with stickers.

Awesome! Ill probably pick up the dragster then, do we know how big the set is approximately yet?

As for the speedboat, the size/description reminds me of 42002 hovercraft, not to most exciting set probably, but might be a good parts pack :)

Alright, here we go..

42049 - Low, long-ish, yellow vehicle with a claw in the front, carrying a red barrel made of two parts that I think were used in an Ultra Agents set.

So they using timber in the mines these days? :hmpf_bad:

Those sets seem pretty cool!

The helicopter with stant is a good idea, and the Pullbacks seem to have a good desing.

But the dragster seems to be the best of the wayve! Glad to see that is not a pointy bastard top fuel, but a very modified classic car!

1H looks to be loaded with cool stuff, but the Q is: what little pieces of design will make it to the real thing (remember the headlights on the 24-hr racer?).

I don't know what you mean allanp but I think that blades cannot be tilted, at least I don't recall any special mechanism on the rotor. The picture also doesn't show whether there is a command center on the stand. Perhapse some levers, can't say really.

Hm, a command center has been promised by a previous poster in this thread - there has to be one, it's the 1H 2016 flagship set and has to offer something special. Can't wait for pictures - probably next week, official unveil most likely end of September, beginning of October.

Personally im not too worried about that, any big set i buy is gonna get modified anyway, and 42039 has much bigger issues then the headlights :P (love the set though, probably my favorite project this year)

Some details on the helicopter, I do not have pics or links to share but hopefully this description will be almost as good as to what you can and can't expect from it. I was originally going to keep silent but some of you were getting the wrong information.

First off, there is no stand and no control center from what I could see, I honestly don't know what the others have seen. Maybe an earlier version? It has dual, 3 blade rotors (six in total) using the large rotor blades released with 9396. There is no pitch controls for the blades, they only counter rotate. It looked to be slightly shorter but bulkier than the cargo plane, it's mostly white with an orange under belly. It is using two of the 6 wide cement mixer pieces released in city sets a few years back, in white for engine cowls. There is a small, very simple blue container (I think it said bricks & beams Ltd on the side) hanging below from a string (is this what has been confused for a stand? ) . It is also completely covered/boxed in with panels, hardly any gaps. It's a fairly simple, boxy shape, though it is preliminary so it might get tarted up a bit. I can assume that the winch, rotors, a hatch for cargo and landing gear are motorised from a single motor through a typical function switching gearbox. Overall, it'll look good on the box on the shelves, but functionally and mechanically it looks to be quite simplistic and lacking compared to the cargo plane. So comparing it to other 1H flagships, here's where I'de rank it. Remember it is only preliminary at this stage.

Functionality:

42025 Cargo plane

9397 logging truck

42052 helicopter

42000 racer

42039 24 hour racer

8070 muscle car

Authenticity:

42000 racer

42025 Cargo plane

42039 24 hour racer

Complexity:

8070 muscle car

42052 helicopter

42000 racer

42039 24 hour racer

No control center? Oh well ... Thank's for this very detailed description, can you describe the dragster in full detail? I've heard it features PF too but what could it be, also rear tyres being Tumbler tyres sounds amazing but what tyres are used for the front? Maybe you could also post close real life counterparts of the helicopter and the dragster, maybe even for the go-kart. Thanks!

You're a big fan of the Cargo Plane I take it?

Thanks for the detailed description. That's a little disappointing, but in line with what 1H flagships have been recently.

first leaked pictures of the confidential 1H 2016 LEGO catalog start to pop up - I think by tmrw we have our pictures :)

Is this helicopter based on something real or it is made completely from scratch?

I dont know many coaxial helicopters, only kamov is what i know.

Also I liked for this description, cargo is nice detail great for playablity. This is lacking in 9396, some cage for rescueman will be nice touch.

Dude who posted those said he will post the rest of the images on Monday.

The front does look like a Chinook, but it's a co-axial helicopter like Sheepo's but without the fancy blade tilt mechanisms. Closest helicopter I could find was this, but with a single pair of front wheels, mostly white with orange bottom.

That's very intersting, I never would have thought that Lego would do a coaxial helicopter with that many blades at all. Shame they could not include any kind of pitch mechanism. How complex does the swash plate look?

The helicopter sounds intriguing. Hopefully it has counter-rotating blades. The 9396 helicopter must have sold well enough for Lego to offer another one so soon. I haven't even built my 9396 helicopter yet...lol.

Not complex at all. The lower blades rotate on a 28t turn table driven by a 12t bevel and the upper blades by a shaft that runs up the middle of the turn table. There is a wheel hub used to hide and stiffen the upper shaft.

I'm fairly certain it has motorised counter rotating blades.
