About a page full of garbage...I dont know where is Jim, but Im sure he will not be happy...

Jim is on vacation in the U.S.A. Somewhere around the Grand Canyon I think.

You can use the report button if a post needs MOD attention.

On the plus side, there is an absence of idiots demanding pictures, and an absence of people being mad at those idiots for bumping the thread, and nobody is flaming anyone and there's a bit of humour about it all. So eh. I dunno.

You've gotta laugh, haven't you?

Yeah, imagine a space station model with PF... or a redo of the Shuttle. That would be amazing. But I think the time for fantasizing is over. The official list is up on Brickset, and everything in it is destined for somewhere below the atmosphere. Ah well.

Where's the ultimate IP car? It's not listed over on brickset.com

No idea. It may be that LEGO is keeping it under wraps. The truth on that matter means little to me, though; I'm not really a supercar fan. :classic:

Eh, the car can wait. As I see it, the Ultimate IP Car name may be little more than a code or temporary name for a licensed model. As to what, heck if I know, but it's gotta bring AWD for a start.

LEGO has taken down the URL searching trick.

Interesting, you promised to post a detailed description for the helicopter, where is it? Also could you please describe the fire truck and when to expect the official unveil of the sets, next week? Last year it was on September 30. Thanks!

Oh, right. Later, drawing Ninjago stuff right now.

Don't recall a fire truck.

Don't expect an official unveil for a few months, honestly don't think LEGO would ever do that for their current themes.

??? So why did we get the official images of 1H sets on September 30 last year??? Also a few months? The sets all will be released from January 1st on, so it's not like that's months away. I expect official images next week tbh.

Despite allanp's excellent Jedi mind tricks, the models I'm looking forward to the most are the Mine Loader, Bucket Wheel Excavator, Claas Xerion and Volvo EW160E. From the scanty info we've got, nothing else really appeals to me, really.

I see no chance for Volvo to be pneumatic set. First/smallest number of 2H is always a small 500-600 pcs set without any complex and expensive parts like pf or pneumatics

Alright, helicopter...

This is called Heavy Lift Helicopter, right? Well, I googled that, and none of the results looked like the actual set.

Closest thing I could find was this

AP1003191101.jpg

The helicopter is primarily white and grey with orange on the bottom. It has dual fins (? like a giant, wide, |____| ) It's got.. well, I don't know exactly what the name is, but it's got one layer of propellers (3) on top of another layer. It's carrying a small blue thing (if it's a crate, doesn't look like one) Giant 'HEAVY LOAD CARGO' sticker on the side. 3 wheels, too.

500-600pcs range is perfectly suited for pneumatic stuff, less gears, less axles, no gearbox, pneumatic everywhere. And nobody know if that Volvo is the little 2H set.

Theres still a chance that it will be the 1H flagship, but the helicopter is still the best bet for that. Even if the volvo excavator is the first 2H set it will indeed only be midsize, but with pneumatic included it doesnt need to be bigger than 600-700 pcs. On the other hand 2016 is not a normal year....

I was wondering, could someone who has seen the pics share about what sort of colors we might be able to expect from next year's sets? I haven't seen much mention of that in this topic, but as a Bionicle builder primarily, one of the aspects of Technic sets that interests me most is new part colors (especially for panels and the like). Are there any colors that stand out as new or different from the norm, like the Bright Green from this year's 24 Hours Race Car? Or is it mostly more of the reds and yellows and blues we're used to?

Myself, I wouldn't mind more purple—as far as I can recall we haven't had a purple Technic set since Cyber Slam/Competition, and I'd love to see some Technic panels in the newer Dark Purple/Medium Lilac! This year's Bionicle sets also featured the debut of Dark Azur in that theme, and while it's never appeared in Technic, I can picture a car or truck in that color looking fantastic. And the small part of me that keeps crying out to make Bionicle playsets and scenery would sure appreciate Technic panels in Dark Bluish Gray/Dark Stone Grey—while it may not be the most exciting color, it's a perfect fit for Bionicle scenery that simultaneously evokes ancient ruins and futuristic technology. I doubt it would work that well as the primary color for a Technic vehicle, but it'd be nice to have an alternate choice for tipper beds and the like that typically use Light Bluish Gray/Medium Stone Grey panels.
