Richard Dower Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 (edited) That would make more sense indeed. It would be great if the police interceptor and the escape vehicle are cars at the same scale as the 42008 and 8109 trucks. nah....they are small sets, they are probably in the 100 - 160 part range, based on the price etc Edited August 6, 2015 by Richard Dower Quote
Waterkamp Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I'm more curious with the 1H flagship, and is it safe to say it's not a vehicle ? knowing the 24 hour race car 42039 for this year. in 2011 the 1H flagship was 8070 and the year after was the 9396 helicopter, I'm gonna guess for 2016 would be a plane or a boat !! Quote
Jim Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Two 1H flagship sets this year, kinda. But on the other hand we had 9(!) 1H sets this year so its back to the more normal 6 1H sets next year so we can asume that we will have several huge 2H sets. Let's not jump to conclusions. I'm sure there will be a 1H flagship, which is not in the price list. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I think its a rescue boat....not bot. Could very well be...but you do get rescue subs which could be translated as "bots". Victor Imaginator Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Could very well be...but you do get rescue subs which could be translated as "bots". Where are you see word "rescue"? Renn means racing and Gleitboot means hydroplane. Quote

I don't speak German....I just used google-translate to translate the model detail. I see Amazon have removed the 2016 items from the listing. Edited August 6, 2015 by Alasdair Ryan Quote

I hope we will get for this year helicopter in first half or second half. Some kind of chinook or skycrane every function motorized Also 9396 was second half set in europe. Another models that i want tractor or combine harvester. Edited August 8, 2015 by Ondra Quote
miguev Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I just hope we'll see more 2H flagships that are not construction machinery, we've got plenty of that in the last few years, no? 42009, 42030, 42043, ... not sure 8110 and 8258 count as "construction", but to me they kinda-nearly are. I'm hoping for more groundbreaking things like 9398 :) Quote
Richard Dower Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 what about doing some concept sets?...or future sets?....like TLG did in the mid to late 90's....we got some rather interesting and weird vehicles from that genre. Quote
Henkl Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 It has to be a forklift. The first technic set with pneumatics was a forklift. Or a excavator but that is there allready, 8043. Quote

MrPaulo23 Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I'm quite interested with Police Interceptor and the Escape Vehicle sets. Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 According to the pattern this year's flagship is a RC model. I would want a RC Reach Stacker (like the 42009 B-model) with 6 functions: driving, steering, lifting the boom, extending the boom, rotating the grabber, opening / closing the grabber. The model can contain 4 motors, 1 of which serves as the gear shift like in the 8043. In the lower mode, the 3 motors drive, steer, and lift the boom. In the upper mode, the 3 motors extend the boom, rotate the grabber, open/close the grabber. The B-model can be an RC forklift or snow groomer with 4 functions. Quote

Its a bigger risk that we will just get another mobile crane like 42009 (like if we didnt had enough of them already...) but in talk of stackers, THIS could be awesome: http://s22.postimg.o...25_18_5_web.jpg Could be RC with 6 functions. The vehicle drive and stearing ofc, the stacker: up/down, extend boom, grip opening, and rotating. Imagine this model being made with the unimog/volvo tires... with that long wheelbase(!) it will be so big that it probably could lift the L350 in the grip ;) Edited August 9, 2015 by GoldVillage Quote
Lakop Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Maybe they will do a Volvo or Merc stacker if they exist. H Quote

Oh yes it would... its just the unimog who arent made in a realistic size. Actually a big log stacker would be pretty close to the volvo in terms of scale... close enough to be made with nearly the same size tires. Svetruck 52120 is using 18-25 tires which are 161.5 cm in diameter and it can lift 47 tons (with forks), the L350 weighs like 50-55... Edited August 9, 2015 by GoldVillage Quote
CM4Sci Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I avoid posting Technic info because I don't necessarily care for the theme (Sorry! ) But I did stumble upon the final set names for 2016! 42044 Display Team Jet 42045 Hydroplane Racer 42046 Getaway Racer 42047 Police Interceptor 42048 Race Kart 42049 Mine Loader 42050 Drag Racer 42051 Airport Rescue Vehicle 42052 Heavy Lift Helicopter 42053 Volvo EW160E 42054 Claas Xerion 5000 TRAC 42055 Bucket Wheel Excavator 42056 Ultimate IP Car Quote
MajklSpajkl Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 @CM4Sci: Awww my deeer lawd!!! That list sure is intrugiung. Seems like Technic will become a more and more licenced series... Which one is the flagship??? Probably the last one, but that bucket wheel excavator also promises alot... Quote
LennyRhys Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 "Display Team" sounds very interesting! Quote
Kaanere Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 That can't be true, it's just perfect!!! No, really. It's Just Too Good to be true. Quote
allanp Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 That seems like a lot. We always always only ever get info for the first half sets this early. 2h info usually comes January first. So are we getting that many for the first half? I'm skeptical, unless there are some micro builds. Quote
Jay Psi Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 That's two more licenses than I expected (but if it doesn't cost anything for Lego to get them then it makes sense), and I would also assume it's the list for the whole year at 13 sets. But I like what I see - especially the Class Xerion. Going off the numbers I'd expect the "Ultimate IP Car" to be the 2H flagship. Shame I have no idea what it could be then isn't it! Quote
N-4K0 Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 42053 Volvo EW160E 42054 Claas Xerion 5000 TRAC Ooh, now this sounds interesting! Quote

Very, very interesting! on the other hand, going by history its the licensed model that is the flagship. But now when theres two licensed models it might be another model as a flagship so i also believe its the ultimate car as the 2H flagship, and the heavy lift helicopter is probably the 1H flagship, would be cool if it was a very big version of 42020. some guesses: 42053 Volvo EW160E - midsize to big, pneumatic 42054 Claas Xerion 5000 TRAC - very big, motorized, but with only a few functions 42055 Bucket Wheel Excavator - midsize only, cable operated manually 42056 Ultimate IP Car - RC, very big Edited August 11, 2015 by GoldVillage Quote
