Kman860 Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Does anyone have an idea whether the blue curved panel on the hydro racer is blue or light blue? Id love those in blue to change the colors on my 42039 (but it run into a lot of other panels not being available in blue :( ) Im loving the getaway car and the go-kart, definite buys, although the go-kart will get color-modded ASAP, that purple-orange combo hurts my eyes, its like 42036 all over again EDIT: took a closer look at 42045, and im convinced the panels at the rear are Blue, not Medium-Blue, the blue pin in the middle somwhere looks the same color, and those are only out there in Blue (and i wouldnt know why they would make those in Medium-Blue all of a sudden) Looks like not all the other Bright Green parts from 42039 are available in Blue though :( I love that lego is working more colors into their sets, but not having many current pieces available in those colors is a drag I love the purple orange colour I love the Kart! The color scheme is very cool, and the fact that it could have a gearbox... The mine loader is aslo cool. The police interceptor looks a bit ugly, throught. I agree Soo cooool!! too bad the loader comes with a grabbler and not a bucket! :( the hydroplane boat seems to have a propeller driven engine I thought the same At first sight the Mine Loader looks like it's handling a hazardous radioactive barrel. I still don't understand what sort of mine loaders come with a grabber... That makes 2 of us! its either that, or some kinda explosives Probably nuclear waste, around here they're planning on burying some and I saw they use something like that to handle the barrels I think Quote
Richard Dower Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 (edited) the go kart does not have any red axels....its made up of two notched 2L axels in red: http://alpha.brickli...age?P=32062#T=C one of these in red: http://alpha.brickli...age?P=32039#T=C and the #5 connector and a red bush. the police car has the rare x346 part back in trans dark blue: http://www.bricklink...colorID=14&in=A it has not been seen since 2006 and is used in several rare technic sets, parts gathers like me who want to build old sets....this is a must have! part 32056 is back in lime green...not seen since 2001; http://www.bricklink...colorID=34&in=A the getaway car has several technic liftarms new in flat silver....look closely! part 32316 in flat silver part 32524 in flat silver part 32526 in flat silver it looks like 32013 connector is also in flat silver....a 1x9 liftarm also in flat silver hydrofoil has 1x7 flex hoses in black.....never released before in that colour. the mine loader has 4 of the new panel design....and the new 60 tooth turntable, the wheel hubs are LBG and not flat silver. the wheel hub 56145 is new in lime green: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=56145&idColor=11#T=C&C=11 Edited October 11, 2015 by Richard Dower Quote

Richard Dower Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 These all seem to be DBG. Flat silver looks more like LBG in renders. look at part 62462...its flat silver, looks exactly the same colour as the liftarms....and flat silver makes total sense for what TLG are going for with the vehicle. AOW Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 42045 Hydroplane Racer: is it my impression but the engine block is silver as well as exhaust pipes.... correct me if I am wrong. regards. Quote
Gnac Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Basically, all the grey stuff you see is silver, until larger pictures without a peppering of JPEG artifacts prove that assertion wrong. Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 (edited) I actually drove many... Me too Zblj , I have driven for 25 years at the highest level and been many times national champion in Go Karts. But a handbrake on a kart . Also it's forbidden to put a engine above the rear axel . The engine is always on the right side next to the chair and only with 2 engine's stand it on both side next to the chair, ore for a super kart it's a 2 cylinder engine and is also on the right side. Only the Mini class can drive with a air cooled 2 stroke engine, but the higher class is now always water cooled, because the noise. I like the colors at the new set and the design looks good, but stops for me by the chair, the complete back is a joke . Edited October 11, 2015 by VFracingteam Quote

Zerobricks Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Dont worry guys, Technicbricks still has them: http://www.technicbricks.com/2015/10/new-images-for-some-1h2016-sets.html Quote
Thirdwigg Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Got it. Thanks for the heads up. 42045 looks great. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Here we go, parts and stuff for every set: 42045 New parts: Fairing around rear is made of two new panels, in blue New colors: 42039 fender in blue on rear wing. I've got people saying the 7L flex axles are new, but I don't think so. B model: Stunt plane. 42046 New parts: none New colors: Gold small rims. Some other parts look not quite black, but that could just be lighting. 42047 New Parts: none New colors: lime rims, apparently a 7l axle in yellow. 6 white micro panels. While those are not new, they were only seen in 42043 previously, which means it will be much easier to procure them. Combo model: Unknown. In the previous pullback duos, the combo model is not telegraphed by the individual sets. However, the wheels are the same size on both of these sets, possibly indicating that the combo model will use all of them. 42048 New parts: none New colors: 4 purple 42039 fenders. red 4l axle. Sadly, part thought to be orange half bushing is probably just a 1x1 round tile with a sticker on top. Construction details: There is a red gear on the same axle connected to the rear wheels. Unless Lego has decided to make the 3L differential in red, we can reasonably assume it's a clutch gear. What that would mean is that the model has a 2 speed gearbox, shifted by the red lever on the seat. I really can't think of anything else it could be. Ironically, we fans have been griping about lack of speed changing gearboxes for years, and now we get one in a vehicle that rarely has them IRL. Oddly, there is no visible connection between the steering wheel and the front wheels. That part of the mechanism is likely obscured, but if this vehicle does not have steering on the main steering wheel, Lego screwed up big time. B model: This set does not appear to have any good parts for making anything else, other than another car, so I'm going with some kind of dune buggy. 42049 New parts: New panels in yellow. New colors: Hero Factory container in red Construction details: Given that this small model still uses the new 60z turntable, it looks like Lego is going to discontinue them. On the other hand, it means that the new turntable will be far cheaper to buy. This set is, no matter how it is sliced, weird. I have never seen a loader like this with a grabber, yet it has one. The grabber arm too raises more questions. Having it be manually operated in a set like this with little else going on would be a waste, and luckily I don't think that's the case. All of the pins in the arm are frictionless, which would be a massive design flaw in a manually operated feature, as the arm would just flop down if raised. But, there is no other mechanism readily apparent, nor a knob to operate it visible on the vehicle. Further, there is a sticker on one part of the arm, which could indicate that it is used to position the arm. My thought is that there is actually a mini Linear Actuator somewhere in the front, but not visible in this picture, and that lifts the arm. B model: Articulated, 4 wheel vehicle with a grab? The b model is likely a log skidder. Quote
D3K Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Here we go, parts and stuff for every set: Are these facts, or just your predictions? Quote
Saberwing40k Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Most of the above is what I have been able to observe. The construction details and b models are more speculative, but the colors and parts are as factual as a preliminary observation can be. As an aside, I kind of wish that Lego would include different options with some models, like 42042 could have a hook or grab, or 42049 could have a grab or bucket. Quote

Vectormatic Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 42045 Hydroplane Racer: is it my impression but the engine block is silver as well as exhaust pipes.... correct me if I am wrong. regards. exhausts yes, but the block itself i dont think so, the contrast between the block and the exhaust suggest normal grey to me. Shame, the blue panels at the back + silver cilinder wouldve made me buy 8 of em or something, enough to recolor the wheel covers on the le-mans cars, and enough silver engine parts to redo most of my bigger models Quote

syclone Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) Also in the go-cart there seems to be a small angled connector in DBG connecting the panels on the seat to the floor http://bricksafe.com/files/LXF/sample/sketch-1444637027175.jpg This one: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=15100&idColor=11#T=C&C=11 Edited October 12, 2015 by LXF Quote

TheItalianBrick Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Am I lonely in not liking any of these pictures? :-( And where are the big 1H sets? Exactly! Where are the big sets? How can it be a good christmas with just 100 pieces set?? Quote
Richard Dower Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 must say..i am mighty impressed by these small sets, WAY better then last year....and probably the best looking sets in a few years. i pretty much passed on all the small sets from 2015 as they looked meh and not worth the cost....they all looked pretty boring. but 2016 is shaping up to be a ace year for parts and Technic sets!
