That steering is really interesting! and hard to figure out, first i was thinking about a new 9l steering rack... but the 12t gear wont reach it and thats the largest gear who will fit down there. And what is this "handbrake" lever for!? maybe high/low gear.

If it is the first of the 2H sets (which means the excavator is the 1H flagship) then it would be a mid size set only and no PF what so ever, but no matter what size it going to be i still do think it could have some cool feauters i.e cab moving and a steering option - normal or crab steering.

I agree

I think steering simply uses a 3L half beam which moves tehs teering rack via a pin...

Toys R us in canada put up pricing today for some of the new kits. Probably an error but it's showing up on their mobile site.

Now that we have the official descriptions, the official unveil of all the 1H 2016 sets might be coming next week - at least I hope so.

I'm hoping for Tumbler rear tires in Drag Racer.

That dragster sounds absolutely awesome, combined with the rumours that it isnt a top-fuel type dragster, but rather a silhoutte type thing, im really looking forward to it

The size though, a 3:1 length-width ratio... and it is as long as 42039 for a smaller set, maybe it is top-fuel style after all :(

EDIT: also, apparently the dragster can drive with an M-size motor, putting an L in there should make it rather nippy :)

And the go-kart has a track-car B-model, if it looks good i might have to get two :P

That dragster.... THAT DRAGSTER! New pistons, V8, clamshell body, Power Functions.... AWESOME!!

Interested in the "wheelie function" and if the PF will be able to move it fast.

And the racekart has a gearbox!

The size is for the B model, so that one surely is a Top-Fuel. The A-model is a modified car.

Aahhh, good call, i totally missed the switch between "Drag racer" and "supercharged dragster", so that pretty much confirms the A-model is indeed a modified car, excellent excellent!

We might not be getting a 42000/42039 style flagship race-car, but H1 2016 will be a good wave for us petrol-heads, the getaway racer, go-kart and Drag Racer all look/sound very promising, and there is the ultimate IP car in waiting as well

Supercharged Dragster measures (60cm) long

Any dragster powered by just a medium motor and 50 - 60cm long, I fear the Wheelie function might be a little disappointing, there is no way the motor has the power to make it wheelie, so it must have some mechanical advantage which will lift the front wheels off the ground? maybe a hidden thrid wheel?

We need to take these size informations (listed for b-models only?!) with some grain of salt... they're all seems to be heavily overexaggerated. But the price tags? seriously... that small kart costs 40 bucks and the mine loader 65, and helicopter is priced in same class as the crawler crane (!?)

those prices cant be true either.

Interesting that I started trying to build the race kart last night too.

So far I've got this:

Having not figured out the steering mechanism, the rear part of the car is hard to build too.

I have used rubber bands for the steering mechanism and you missed the panel at the back

attach a liftarm to the middle of the steering pin and attach a 3l half liftarm to the end of the axle and attach a Pin with axle at one end and a ball at the other the the end of the 3l half liftarm and attach rubber bands from that pin to the steering pin and there's your steering mechanism Edited by Babaloveslego55

I dont think any lego model would be powerfull enough to wheelie, unless you do a build with the battery boxes behind the rear axle, to put the CoG pretty much on the rear axle. the fact that it is referred to as a wheelie "function" is another pointer that we're talking about an extra mechanism.

Those are canadian prices, in case you didnt notice, 42039 is 160 CAD Vs 130 USD, which would put the kart at roughly 32-35 USD and the mine loader at 52-55 USD roughly

In the Heavy Lift Helicopter description, there are "cargo bay" and "loading ramp". Are these two the same thing? If they are 2 different things, can anyone show a picture of a helicopter with both of them?

I can't remember a single set that wasn't a flagship model having a working gearbox, and now we seem to have 2 in the first half?! That makes me very happy and I smell new parts. Could it be a response to this post?

http://www.eurobrick...0

And the helicopter sounds slightly better than I thought it would be with the moving flaps and nose wheel. I wonder what controls them?

Looks like it's going to be an expensive first half for me :classic:
