davebarrett Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 the blue curved panel on the powerboat looks promising, but again im not sure if lego has all the parts needed in the right color to convert the green in 42039 into blue (which would make for an awesome Toyota TS040 livery) It doesn't. I checked. Quote
Vectormatic Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 It doesn't. I checked. Bugger :( I looked into it a few weeks back as well, but couldnt remember, that is what you get with all these different shades of colors.. Quote
andrewganschow Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 I think that there will be a Volvo excavator, featuring all new pneumatics, 1 2x11 cylinder for lifting the arm, 1 2x11 cylinder to bend the arm, and a 1x11 cylinder to curl the bucket. It may even feature a grabber underneath the arm to grab things between the bucket and it. All ran off of 1 pump, and 2 joysticks for independent track control. Quote
Kaanere Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Am I the only one that likes sets with crazy colours? Yes, they are less useful, but they look better in my opinion. dimaks13 Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 I hope, the Volvo EW160E model will be 2H 2016 flagship, like 42000 in 1H sets of 2013 and will have 8 RC functions. It can be the reason of 300€ price... Quote

dimaks13 Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 8 RC functions for 300€ even seems cheap... If such set existed, it would cost 400€ minimum. Why? It can have four motors, two for using the functions and two for gearbox. Quote
Emmi Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 The 2H flagship will be the Ultimate IP Car and this will cost € 300. Quote

Ilko Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 If we look back in time, when the "42030 Behind the design " video was released,we didn't have any info about the 42039,but we can see it in the video that I first mentioned,so I think that it is really possible that the BMW i8 will be the ultimate ip car, based on the new video?!Lego is messing with our minds O_o Quote

Emmi Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 New 2016 set rumors appeared on thebrickfan.com today, this includes Technic. LEGO TECHNIC fans also get in on the fun with a Bucket Wheel Excavator (42055) that goes for $499 NZD. There’s also another TECHNIC set named “Ultimate Vehicle” which goes for $699 NZD. I’m not sure if that’s the final name of it or not but that’s what I was told. That would mean the 'Ultimate IP Car' costs around EUR 400 - AMAZING, I see Technic UCS coming :) Quote

XAxles Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 A US$300-450 Technic set? I gotta see it to believe it. Quote
Emmi Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Ok, judging by the LEGO 75827 Firehouse Headquarters - $599 NZD equals EUR 349 - let's not forget this includes license costs already. That would mean the 'Ultimate IP Car' costs around EUR 450? and the BWE around EUR 250? Wow, the 'Ultimate IP Car' sure seems like THE ultimate UCS set, I like it :) Now the big question remains ... the manufacturer and the piece count. Off topic - judging by those prices the 10253 LEGO Creator Expert Big Ben landmark set will cost EUR 250. 2016 is probably going to be the most expensive year in LEGO history for me. Let's not forget there's still a lot more/yet announced D2C sets coming all throughout 2016. Quote
Ondra Posted November 7, 2015 Author Posted November 7, 2015 Will be interesting what really ultimate car can offer, because with this price you can also buy professional RC car.I assume that there will be lots of PF functions opposite to BWE that will IMO offer more pieces than ultimate car. Quote
Kaanere Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 At that prize, it should be big and have a stunning body. I have a feeling that it will be the i8... Quote
Jockos Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 OMG.... YESSSSS!!!! Also, I'm a little bit confused, because of the lot of speculation. Could someone post that side's URL, plese? Quote

Raelthorne Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Sorry for posting this in this thread if it's the wrong place. I'd love to pick up Lego 8043 online but I'm a bit reluctant to get it if the rumoured Volvo EW160E is coming out next year. Anyone want to theorise, based on the informed speculation, if the upcoming Volvo will have a comparable feature set, RC functions etc or do the experts here think 8043 will still be the stand out flagship product? Since it came out in 2013, does Lego have form in releasing comparable and / or better products in a 2-3 year time-frame? Quote
