It is, it is literally directly from LEGO

Well Im doomed, so many sets that I want

That ultimate IP car sounds interesting, maybe some kind of fully RC convertible? What about Ferrari California?Ferrari seems to me like ultimate intellectual property.

42053 Volvo EW160E can be first half flagship.

Looks very interesting!

Volvo would definitely be a pneumatic model, no doubt about that. If the stabilizers and dozer blade are pneumatic as well, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a redesigned "normal length" pneumatic cylinder with the new nozzles/inputs and possible a redesigned base to make it like the other new cylinders. Also, they should absolutely make a proper bucket for this one. Seeing as they made the big rock bucket for the L350, I feel this is important for Volvo! :sweet:

It seems that the heavy lift helicopter is the 1H flagship with powerfunctions. Maybe we can expect tumbler tires for the wheeled excavator and it is time that these tires came up to the technic theme. Rumors or not: the idea to bring a new excavator make sense to me. It offers the oppurtunity to play with 3 (licensed) models in one scenario with nearly the same scale. This means loading the 42043 Arocs with the 42030 wheel loader together with the new excavator. Playing together with these 3 models would be great

Waiting for the CLAAS Xerion!

It could have stering, engine and atachments trailers. The real one aslo has three different cabins: normal, vaiable and tow:

The variable and some atachments could be the main model, and the tow and atachmengs the B.

Aslo excited for the Airport crash tender (yaaaay!), the IP car and crawler crane.

For the Volvo, not so much.

Could have steering!? :D i think thats a must... but it wont be much more else than that to it. Im afraid it gonna be too similar to the 8274 & 84 - just a huge set with only one or two functions, but motorized.

It also has to be a turneble cab, that is the speciality of the Claas Xerion. Big red wheels and lots of white and green. I hope whitout a motor.

Probably intellectual property.This mean licensed.

If that's the case there's going to be 3 licensed products. I highly doubt that'll happen.

But I hope and pray that the 42053 Volvo EW160E rumor is true. That would be amazing.

Well, in an image of a model online it had steering on both axels, so is not just the normal steering ;) .

It aslo has 4wd and suspension, so possible piston engine.

That's hat I mean with variable cab (second picture on post 104). Another possible feature to the list.

Indeed it would! it could just be packed with functions. Besides the usually digger functions it will have a 2-piece boom, a blade going up and down, stabilizers, and, the best part: a rotating bucket ;)

If that "Ultimate IP Car" really is licensed, it'll have to come from a car license TLG already has. But there's no marque or model name stated, so I think it'll be something else. At the least, that something else isn't what we think it is.

cool, but i would prefer a licensed RC Claas Xerion with all the different steering modes (standard/all wheel/single sided crab/gentle crag/full crab) and rotating cab. and some new big tires that fits this beast.....

thank you TLG for listening to my wishes on such a small notice

I'm really looking forward to see how the bucket wheel excavator looks like, because IMHO in real life it isn't very aesthetically appealing (if not outright ugly).

Ugh stop it man you're killing me! :cry_sad: It could be the modern day 8455 with all those pneumatic functions

I think they gonna make it a little more simple, with the stabilizers and the blade being operated manually with a knob through a switch in the mid center of the wheel base. But, even with this construction we will have like 7 pneumatic cylinders(!) - best bet is 1 normal, 4 new long thin ones, and 2 mini for bucket rotating - by judging from photos. But who knows... if they do make it 100% pneumatic, it will indeed end up like the modern 8455 ;)

If Lego does not do it, i hope someone will make a MOC of that Claas Xerion. I usually don't care for these kind of machines but it has very interesting look. And the different attachments make it even more nice :)

What can I say ... I couldn't be more excited

2016 gonna be a great year!

Never underestimate the changes to tradition a for-profit company is willing to make to increase sales. While the list of potential sets is longer than before, the additional sets may be a welcome change to purchasers. I think LEGO is making a good choice.

I am surprised we have not yet seen the main rotors from 9396 or the Tumbler tires in another set, and looking at this list gives me the indication we could again.

Cool news. Keep us posted.

Too good to be true, especially every licensed sets and ultimate intelectual property car(Rc supercar?)...I call second part total megablocks, but this is only my opinion.

I don't wanna rain on any parade or put a damper on the mood but we don't know about the size of each set yet.

What if the " 42055 Bucket Wheel Excavator" is something like 42035 Mining Truck..

Still Technic..

42035-1.jpg

We kinda know the sizes, approx! history will tell us! ;)

42044 Display Team Jet - mini

42045 Hydroplane Racer - mini

42046 Getaway Racer - small

42047 Police Interceptor - small

42048 Race Kart - small to midsize

42049 Mine Loader - small to midsize

42050 Drag Racer - midsize

42051 Airport Rescue Vehicle - big

42052 Heavy Lift Helicopter - big to very big (perhaps the 1H flagship)

----------------------------------------

42053 Volvo EW160E - big

42054 Claas Xerion 5000 TRAC - very big

42055 Bucket Wheel Excavator - midsize

42056 Ultimate IP Car - very big

Could it be! but it seems more likely that the mining loader would be better of a match for the mining truck, especially by judging from the price.

Why made licensed set small?Volvo will be probably midsize, class big to very big, bucket wheel excavator small to midsize and IP car very big.

Because set number.

42056 would be the 2H flagship (200€) because it's the tallest number, so 42055 would be the second set (130€). 42054 could be like the 42041 (60€ and maybe released in 1H). That keeps the Volvo like 42040 (40€).

Aslo, i'm sure that children would want more a version of a real excavator than a fictional one for a smaller price that other licensed sets. Aslo, TLG already has the license of Volvo for a big set, so...
