zux Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Me too.. 42051 is the set that caught my interest. It may get cancelled? :-( Someone speculated, that in his opinion, it might not get released and everyone take it a truth, lol! Every speculation goes like in this pic :) Quote
GoldVillage Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Question is if this will be small set or medium sized , if small I dont expect some breathtaking details. Rumors says that the first digit nr set in 2H will be 50 dollars (or euro?) but then we most likely will getting a empty box since the license alone costs like 50 Jokes asides, for 50 dollars im afraid we will get a small to mid size excavator with no pneumatics at all - functions will be very simple, like a couple of levers for controlling the boom and the bucket (plus a knob next to the bucket for rotating) and maybe one or two geared functions in the base, to raise and lowering the support legs and/or the blade. For 150 dollars on the other hand it will be a pretty epic set Quote
Ondra Posted November 19, 2015 Author Posted November 19, 2015 Question is why there is licensed model in such a low price range. This doesnt make sense for me. In 150 dollar range will be volvo great excavator with lots of pneumatic parts, but tractor in same range will be, well kind of, less exciting... Quote
parngon Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 If you haven't checked out the promotional video for the excavator you must!! I'm curious to see what setup LEGO chooses for the model. This meaning the arm style and type of bucket and the tire pattern. I missed it...? Are you talking about the Volvo excavator or the BWE? Would you mind posting the video link again please! Thanks! parngon Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Here is the link Thanks! Judging from the functionality and the versatility of the EW160E, I will be satisfied even it doesn't have a B-model - just give us the extra parts for different functions (excavating vs grabbing, for example)... BusterHaus Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 The panel used for the tail of the stunt airplane looks like a great candidate for a functional boat rudder. Quote
Epic Technic Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 (edited) Anyone know what IP could mean for the ultimate IP car? Could it be some of these? -Internet protocol -Interesting person -iPerson ;) -Injured person -Intellectual property I would say it's probably the last one. We're getting a 'Smart' car guys, How good is that ? Though I hope it's not this type of Smart car: Edited November 20, 2015 by Epic Technic Quote
Jim Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 This already has been discussed for several pages. No one knows for sure, but Intellectual Property is the most likely meaning. The panel used for the tail of the stunt airplane looks like a great candidate for a functional boat rudder. Do you happen to know which part this is? Quote
AOW Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Thanks! Judging from the functionality and the versatility of the EW160E, I will be satisfied even it doesn't have a B-model - just give us the extra parts for different functions (excavating vs grabbing, for example)... that would be just perfect if it becomes real :) Quote

Jim Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Looks like this one http://www.bricklink...sp?P=61800&in=S Of course it's Bionicle I see it's in the Record Breaker as well. I don't own that set, so I didn't recognize it. I do own this set, but it's still unbuilt. Thanks a lot Quote
Samer Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 (edited) Here is the link It would be amazing if the LEGO BWE model would involve the replaceable extensions shown in the video, this reminds me of EV3 tracker. But here we would have a real and advanced thing. Edited November 20, 2015 by Samer Quote
BusterHaus Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I do own this set, but it's still unbuilt. Thanks a lot I don't own that set - it looked like a new part. My mistake. Quote
Jim Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I don't own that set - it looked like a new part. My mistake. It's still a good part for a boat rudder Quote
TechnicHead41 Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Man ! can't wait until december 1.st will defently watching this space for Jim and Sariels pictures of the new sets. Quote
AOW Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Jim, can you tell us which set did you received for review ? If this is allowed before 1st of December :) Quote
Victor Imaginator Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 It's very sad that white panels with yellow stickers used in yellow colored jet model. I have enough white panels, but still miss yellow( Quote
Sariel Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 And now a lot of people will want to be a hamster ;) Quote
Richard Dower Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 The panel used for the tail of the stunt airplane looks like a great candidate for a functional boat rudder. it was last used in the record breaker: http://brickset.com/sets/42033-1 has anyone tried to build/reverse engineer the stunt plane?...with only 113 parts it should be do-able! you could easily remake it in red or black as you can find all the parts in that colour. RangGagaGing Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 (edited) And now a lot of people will want to be a hamster ;) Not really...but I would like to swap appartements with that particular hamster at the moment! Have fun Sariel! Edited November 20, 2015 by RangGagaGing Quote
Richard Dower Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 (edited) And now a lot of people will want to be a hamster ;) awesome!...once you get the A models done....and if you have time, maybe you could do the B models? you have everything save the Airport Rescue truck.....is that set not part of the 1H wave? Well, I built the 42046 Getaway Racer last night and I believe I got most of it right except the rear and one other section. I'll post pictures tonight. Display Team Jet looks easier because it's smaller, and also bright colored so figuring out details from the pictures is easier. I'll give it a shot tonight. And now a lot of people will want to be a hamster ;) I feel bad for you Sariel. You can't feel the excitement of buying a set from the store and driving home, filled with anticipation of the awaiting build experience. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll go cry in a corner about a totally unrelated subject. Edited November 20, 2015 by erelender Quote
Sariel Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 awesome!...once you get the A models done....and if you have time, maybe you could do the B models? you have everything save the Airport Rescue truck.....is that set not part of the 1H wave? I'll try to, but that will probably be after December 1st. There is also one combined model that looks interesting... I know nothing about the 42051. Maybe Lego is planning on reverse engineering contest featuring this set? I feel bad for you Sariel. You can't feel the excitement of buying a set from the store and driving home, filled with anticipation of the awaiting build experience. Oh, I used to do that a lot. But now that I'm older and there's the typical autumn weather outdoors, it's nicer to have the stuff delivered to me ;) Quote
