allanp Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 AFAIK jokes and banter are allowed if it's related to speculation of the 2016 sets, which my brilliant solving of Jims very clever riddle was . A discussion of the history of TLG combining Technic sets is not related to 2016 speculation. Tis a very fine line indeed. Quote
Richard Dower Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 (edited) I'll try to, but that will probably be after December 1st. There is also one combined model that looks interesting... I know nothing about the 42051. Maybe Lego is planning on reverse engineering contest featuring this set? Oh, I used to do that a lot. But now that I'm older and there's the typical autumn weather outdoors, it's nicer to have the stuff delivered to me ;) cheers Sariel!....i think your review are some of the best on the internet, you are not afraid to say neative things against a set, even though TLG are supplying the sets for free. i have seen other YouTube persinalities who blatantly kiss megablocks so they can get freebies. JangBricks is another trusted reviewer and i love watch Brick Builders speed builds. deffo try to the B model of the stunt plane...and possible the hydrofoil thing. its HAMSTER TIME! R0Sch Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 (edited) I know it was posted before, but here is also the alternative model of the 42050 Drag racer from the 2016 LEGO Calendar. Edited November 21, 2015 by R0Sch Quote
GoldVillage Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Good pics! do we see a mini LA in the rear on the alternate dragster? if it is, then the wheelie function on the main model is probably done manualy with use of that LA - and not from motor power, thats terrible news for some of the dragster fans here. Don't really understand why everyone is so crazy about these tires, they have very limited use in MOCs. I can see them being used in something like a Mars rover or a monster truck but that's about it. Regarding the set, I think the both the A-model and the B-model look downright awful. First time I've been completely and utterly uninterested in medium sized technic set. Lego better step up their game for the 2nd wave. Edited November 21, 2015 by sm1995 Quote
Ondra Posted November 21, 2015 Author Posted November 21, 2015 All hail to V8! Im happy to see proper V8 in relatively small set, I remember there were before tendencies to cut some pieces in engine block.I know, its not real engine but its nice touch... But I expect that there never be proper power in M motor to do real wheelie, but this mechanism will be great for stand. Quote
Emmi Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 I'm curious if the Heavy Lift Helicopter has changed since the preliminary version - I especially didn't like the stickers used - it felt bland. Quote

Rishab N Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Aside from the coloring scheme, I think I like the B model more than the A model Quote

Indeed! but to be honest the dragster looks to be a pretty good sized midsize set (600-700 pieces) but nonetheless i love the V8 too. And who knows... maybe it can do wheelies from motor power after all, perhaps they did just throw in the manually alternative for those who dont have power functions ;) time will tell! Quote
Kaanere Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 I can see the steering axle on the B-model, that confirms steering for both models. Quote
aminnich Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 (edited) I see more yellow axles! and ORANGE AXLES!!! You beat me to it, haha nice find Edited November 21, 2015 by aminnich Quote
Emmi Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 I suppose the Ultimate IP Car will have orange in it? Quote
Jockos Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Maybe in the future we will have blue, green and other colored axles and pins? Quote
Meatman Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 (edited) Those axles in the front look the exact same yellow color as the yellow 1/2 bushings. Or do we now have orange 2L axles? So they are going to axles of different sizes in different colors? Edited November 21, 2015 by Meatman Quote

Meh, I agree that they look great but as I said I really don't see them being very useful in MOCs. Well IMO last years 1h sets were way more interesting and looked way better than this years ( with the exception of the firetruck, but thats if and only if it makes it's way into production). Quote
Gnac Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 That dragster B-model shows EXACTLY why I want those hewge tyres. The mini linear actuator to adjust the wing is a nice touch. Quote
agrof Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Maybe in the future we will have blue, green and other colored axles and pins? I think those are the standard 2L red axles, only the light fools our eyes. Aside from the coloring scheme, I think I like the B model more than the A model I wonder what for the chain links (on the top around the gears) used in the A-model... maybe a simulated supercharger? Really hope that the blue is the medium blue, to be able combine with existing parts. Quote
