MaxSupercars Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) New parts and unboxing review of Lego 2016 sets ! So TLG come with new 5L and 7L yellow axles. Interesting that it uses them in combination with grey 5L/7L axles. Interesting new panels. Max Edited November 26, 2015 by MaxSupercars Quote
miguev Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) Got a "Great offers coming soon" VIP email from TLG. For this Friday. Anyone knows what that means? Discounts? New sets? Free add-on? I think it's pretty clear and there's not too much to be expected: "Shop early to get up to 30% off select sale items!" ==> they'll discount only some sets, likely not the one I want. It looks to me like this email only went out to US-based users, so not relevant in other countries, but I'm still holding to see what comes up tomorrow in the Swiss LEGO shop and other Swiss shops. Last year, TRU had a 20% everything LEGO (from 100.- up) which was great to get the EV3 set. I'm still hoping for something similar, somewhere, this year... EDIT: yep, same as last year, but it's 20% (not 30%), but it's in all sets! Still, some sets are so expensive at TRU that even with the 20% you can get them cheaper in other shops. bj51 Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 What's the deal with those reviews out before December the 1st ? Isn't it a violation of NDA ? And if so, how are they allowed here ? Quote

Jim Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 They bought these in stores, these small sets are now available. Yup, it's a bit frustrating we need to wait till the 1st of December. Would be great if we could also post reviews for the four smaller sets. Quote
Vectormatic Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 I love the small jet, im very happy that they managed a good play mechanism with the landing gear. Ill be buying at least two of them, one for display, one for parts, those 7L flex axles are awesome Quote

I do love the plane aswell......so cute and full of useful parts!!!!! Quote
agrof Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) Pitty, that the panels on the plane are white. This would have been the time and reasonable opportunity to bring the very big, and the very small panels in yellow. Waiting for the rest 1H sets... Edited November 26, 2015 by agrof Quote
Babaloveslego55 Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) Osuharding1 has shown the b models! What's the deal with those reviews out before December the 1st ? Isn't it a violation of NDA ? And if so, how are they allowed here ? They are not offasal reviewers they just bought the sets from target or toysrus. Edited November 26, 2015 by Babaloveslego55 Quote
Corvette3 Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 If i am not mistaken the release date is supposed to be December 1 but most stores don't care and release early, it happens with video games too, it was possible to buy fallout 4 in Germany a whole week before release. Quote
Osuharding1 Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) As others have already mentioned, I bought the new sets with my hard earned money from Toys R Us. I was not given anything from Lego so the Dec 1st restriction does not apply to me. My overall goal was to get the B-model info out there and to take a look at any new parts. Appie Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 7L yellow axles with 5L LBG axles in one set and 5L yellow axles in another set. I am not sure what Lego's goal is here? 1. Make it easier for people to tell the difference between axles in a given set 2. Switch all odd number axles to yellow, but first have to clear out all the old 5L (and 9L/3L) LBG's on stock 3. Lego wants a rainbow of axle colours 4. All of the above Quote

All of the above What they want to do is use them for the volvo's hand rails, and they thought that that a yellow axle would look better there in the plane than a lbg axle, and when they produce a new part they probley have to put it a number of sets so lego isnt wasted, and so they dont have to switch the macines off! SNIPE Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) New technic part for 2016 - it is this: but with just a single axle: color is light bluish grey. Source: Edited November 26, 2015 by SNIPE Quote
