Jeroen Ottens Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 7L yellow axles with 5L LBG axles in one set and 5L yellow axles in another set. I am not sure what Lego's goal is here? 1. Make it easier for people to tell the difference between axles in a given set 2. Switch all odd number axles to yellow, but first have to clear out all the old 5L (and 9L/3L) LBG's on stock 3. Lego wants a rainbow of axle colours 4. All of the above Is there a correlation with the intended age on the box? Like, are the yellow axles coming in the boxes that have a younger target audience? aminnich Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) I'm thinking the yellow axles are not going to be sticking around for long. I feel like they are for the Volvo Excavator and Claas Xerion Edited November 26, 2015 by aminnich Quote
Emmi Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Yup, it's a bit frustrating we need to wait till the 1st of December. Would be great if we could also post reviews for the four smaller sets. But we are getting reviews for the bigger 1H 2016 sets on December 1st too? Quote
allanp Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 But we are getting reviews for the bigger 1H 2016 sets on December 1st too? Yes Quote

Ngoc Nguyen Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 The Drag Racer B model has a mini LA. Where can it be in the A model? Quote
Ondra Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 Yeah, that dragster! I think this set going to have huge success between kids. Helicopter only 1042 pieces and price 120€, probably panels cost a lot Is bad that they probably cancelled fire truck or postponed it.Can you please Jim ask TLC whats going on with this model?Thank you. Quote
Kaanere Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Hmmm, the dragster's back looks very bad. I'm reconsidering if I will get it. The Kart is a must-buy, throught. Quote
Ondra Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 The Drag Racer B model has a mini LA. Where can it be in the A model? Probably under vehicle and lift vehicle when is wheelie function activated. Quote
PeterF Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Wow 42050 is fugly. Cool tires though. Quote
Gnac Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 The Drag Racer B model has a mini LA. Where can it be in the A model? I heard a rumour that the bodywork can be lifted, but not where it's hinged. Only a lurid imagination (and someone not under review embargoes) could suggest where this enigmatic extensible element might be. Quote
Ondra Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 From same shop as photos above https://www.spielzeug-schuette.de/spielzeug/lego-lego-technic-88/lego-42051-flughafen-feuerwehr-hr2.html 42051 is still listed but no photos or informations about piece count. Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) I'd much prefer the Drag Racer B and A model switch places. The B model looks more like a real Drag Racer. And the mini LA is visible at the back. Edited November 26, 2015 by nguyengiangoc Quote
PFTechnicBuilder Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Any word on how big/expensive/intricate the 42053 Volvo will be? I am really looking forward to that set, I hope it's not a small one. Quote
GoldVillage Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 From same shop as photos above https://www.spielzeu...erwehr-hr2.html 42051 is still listed but no photos or informations about piece count. Probably around 800 pieces. Wondering whats wrong with it... maybe they havent figured out how to route the axle from the white crane down through the turntable. (the preliminary picture looked a bit suspicious) BTW that new dragster picture above looks awesome Any word on how big/expensive/intricate the 42053 Volvo will be? I am really looking forward to that set, I hope it's not a small one. History tells us its mid size (like every first set of the 2H) but on the other hand this will not be a normal year.. fingers cross. I just cant see how they could justify such a licensed set for only 50 euro (rumored price) and that goes for the Xerion too. Quote
Emmi Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 The Race Kart is by far the best - smaller - set of the 1H 2016 wave. Quote
Richard Dower Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Pitty, that the panels on the plane are white. This would have been the time and reasonable opportunity to bring the very big, and the very small panels in yellow. Waiting for the rest 1H sets... parts people are loving these small white panels...you could only find two of them in a 200 Euro set, now you have 6 in a 10 Euro set :-) Quote

I just cant see how they could justify such a licensed set for only 50 euro (rumored price) and that goes for the Xerion too. Since we have very few pics for the 42051 and 42052, compared to other lower number sets, is it possible that 42053 will not be the lowest 2H set? Also, remember in 2013, 42009 was the flagship but not the highest number. I really can't see Lego selling small licensed sets, and looking at videos, the Volvo EW160E is an awesome machine full of many cool functions. It's clear that this is no normal year for Technic. Maybe we'll have a larger than usual 2H, and the sets will be something like this: 42051: Entry level 2H. $50-75 range, like 42040 42052: $90-110 42053: Like 42042 in terms of price, parts, functions, etc. About $150-ish 42054: (See above) 42055: Flagship, analogous to 42043, but unlicensed 42056: Super flagship I Quote
Richard Dower Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) As others have already mentioned, I bought the new sets with my hard earned money from Toys R Us. I was not given anything from Lego so the Dec 1st restriction does not apply to me. My overall goal was to get the B-model info out there and to take a look at any new parts. you should deffo do a review of the A and B of the hydro boat thing...no video reviews out there yet. the lime green 32056 liftarms are as you said quite rare and had not been produced since 2001: http://www.bricklink...colorID=34&in=A the lime green 56145 wheel hubs are new for 2016: http://alpha.brickli...Color=3#T=C&C=3 Edited November 26, 2015 by Richard Dower Quote
paul_delahaye Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 The Drag Racer B model has a mini LA. Where can it be in the A model? Chances are it's got something to do with the wheelie function.... This set definitely looks like the b model is a better looking set than the a model. Quote
