Alexander The Great Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 (edited) Makuta showed in his ghost form? Edited July 22, 2016 by Alexander The Great Quote
Voxovan Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 (edited) A new trailer popped up. Darn, got ninja'd. Edited July 22, 2016 by Voxovan Quote
MrHerofan Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 I saw the new episode trailer and seeing the outline of Makuta in it makes me really excited to see his set. "I will take my rightful place among the god." I really am excited to see these next two episodes and possibly sneak peaks into the 2017 story, I'm just really excited right now. Quote
TwistLaw Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 He sure does have an interesting build... I don't see any new piece in sight, does any of you? Quote
Voxovan Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 He sure does have an interesting build... I don't see any new piece in sight, does any of you? I guess it's just a placeholder model made from this wave's sets' pieces. Quote
Hisstori Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 (edited) *snip* He sure does have an interesting build... I don't see any new piece in sight, does any of you? The torso shell on the lower part might be new to accustom the built up chest. Edited July 22, 2016 by Leewan Removed picture Quote
TwistLaw Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 >that feeling when in JUST two months we'll know the official form of Makuta Quote
ToaDraco Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 (edited) Wow that was a good trailer. The stakes are high and we finally get a glimpse of Makuta! With Ekimu exclaiming there must be light and raising his weapon with a flash, they're making it very clear they rolled Takanuva and Mata Nui into the same character. It sounds like this is going to be an epic clash. I guess it's just a placeholder model made from this wave's sets' pieces. I seriously doubt that considering they'd have the design for Makuta's set set in stone before this was made and the MoUP is clearly finalized. It looks to me like we're getting a very big Makuta that looks really awesome, at least from the waist up. I'm certain he'll have new pieces but they are probably on parst of his body we can't see, I mean we're only getting a glimpse of his head and torso. We have no idea about his arms, legs, weapons and back. Not to mention there's no way to tell from this what recolors are involved. The fancy disk on his chest is the same one used on Ekimu's shield so that's at least one recolor most likely. I really like how they shaped the torso with the 4 shells shaped around the disk on his chest. His shoulders look substantial as well with both piston add-ons and Skull villain add-ons. Bigger Fish Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Is it just me, or does the line "Okay, We've done this before." sound a bit off to you guys? It sounds kind of lifeless and dull to me. Quote

Aanchir Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Is it just me, or does the line "Okay, We've done this before." sound a bit off to you guys? It sounds kind of lifeless and dull to me. Yeah, I don't mind the script of The Journey to One as much as some people, but the voice acting has not been especially strong. I think Gali and Umarak's voice actors had some of the best delivery in the first two episodes. But compared to the webisodes last year, where one voice actor was able to give the characters a lot of personality, I feel like having multiple voice actors in The Journey to One has not really measured up to people's expectations. I wouldn't necessarily assume the actors are to blame for this, though. They are a lot less experienced than the voice actors we're used to from, say, the Hero Factory cartoons or G1 Bionicle movies, but a good voice director can also play a role in the strength of a show's voice acting by advising the actors on how to deliver their lines, deciding how many different takes to record, and deciding which takes are used. Same as how the performance of an actor in a live-action film depends in part on the judgment of their director. Quote

xboxtravis7992 Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 (edited) So know we know: The MoUP is a real piece, possibly still in its prototype stage. Lego has actually heard the AFoL clamor for an "Art of Bionicle" book, and now appears to have made one and will be giving a limited edition signed copy to a fan. There is a mysterious printed shield with a MoUP decal used on the winged Makuta. Makuta G2 is possibly a shapeshifter like the G1 version. Let the Bionicle 2017 rumors begin!! (Please don't be a European exclusive like Chima was...) Edited July 23, 2016 by xboxtravis7992 Quote
Tazakk Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Makuta G2 is possibly a shapeshifter like the G1 version. Some say, he will have three heads. Others say, he will have many forms that change. Quote
Fulcrumfan91 Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 I suppose JtO might end with Makuta back and about to wreak havoc on Okoto? I hope so....I want to see more versions of the Toa :) Quote
Shakar Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 2.18. Makuta sitting on the throne, wearing the Mask of Control and holding Ekimu's trans light blue Mask of Creation. Is he going to kill Ekimu I wonder? Quote

Is he going to kill Ekimu I wonder? They said that one was made by an intern, so I doubt it's too reflective on anything in the story. Quote
Jetrax99 Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Well that kinda proves what I was saying earlier about Makuta in JtO being a placeholder model :P Not really. I highly doubt LEGO would have them make a finalized animation model for a non-finalized set. Quote
ToaDraco Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 I adore the Overlord version! He even has those printed disks and the cloth pieces that look legit on his waist and weapon. It's probably too much to ask to get him as the official set but I want that! He is exactly how I envisioned G2 Makuta. I also love the Matoran Makuta hanging out at the base! That model really seems to stand out and get more attention than the rest, not to mention it gets a display stand where the others do not so I hope it's the prototype. I love the MoUP but I was hoping it would come in black or black blended with trans purple but the gold spray paint indicates it isn't finalized yet so we'll see. Quote
TwistLaw Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 I think there are high chances we're gonna get that black Mask of Fire along with the small guy wearing it, at least as a polybag. The printed pieces are a strong indication we're gonna see them again in a few months. I don't think the official Makuta will be as big as the ones we've seen (BIONICLE G2 seems to have an ever narrower range of prices than Hero Factory: we still haven't seen a set costing more than 30$), but he will for sure be using at least those printed pieces. Dorek Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Nick and Corvin are fantastic people, I was glad to be able to hang out with them a little bit in Denmark =) Quote
