FortNerd Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Are you referring to the dragon? If so, I think you missed that there is a baby dragon in the Pegasus Sleigh set . I guess that may have been Lego's sneaky way of hinted to us of adult dragons though. We are still missing a bunch of dragons and dragon related items: Adult Dragons: Wind & Love Baby dragons: Earth & Love Dragon eggs: Earth, Love & Water That's a lot! Hopefully Lego will give us a complete set of all the elemental dragons in their various stages. And if they do, I wonder if that means we are getting an extra large number of sets for the summer wave or an extra wave late 2016/earlier 2017. Of course I know about the baby dragon. But this little hint is a lot more subtle. Without it it would've been easy to assume the dragon baby is just another magical creature, since almost all Elves sets always have some tiny animal sidekick in them. You wouldn't immediately guess it has greater significance to the plot, or that dragons are about to become more important. Quote
DraikNova Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Are you referring perhaps to the hourglass? Yes. That's one weird-looking print for an hourglass. Quote
Aanchir Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Yes. That's one weird-looking print for an hourglass. I think it's a blended piece and not a printed one, kind of like the Erlenmeyer flask piece from the collectible minifigures. Quote
legobear Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 I started off with Nadia's set and ended up with the entire first and mini second wave. I'm going to be getting the entire 3rd wave for sure after obtaining the dragon from the pegasus sleigh set. It's strange how legoshop and Toysrus has it for $29.99 in the U.S but every other major retailer including target has it for $39.99. I don't understand how shops can have prices higher than the legoshop sometimes (did the legoshop backtrack on their pricing? All other retailers are priced higher). By the way, Farran's crystal hollow , Naida's spa resort, the magical bakery set, Aira's workshop, and even Naida's adventure ship are all on sale somewhere with major U.S brands. This probably hints that at least the first three mentioned are going to be phased out very soon (at least at target). Those who wanted multiples for MOCs or to expand their water world MOCs should act fast - they get real pricey once phased out. I realized something when putting the sleigh together that probably most of you already know, the mini doll proportions have great benefits in terms of saving space. You can sit two people side by side with a 4 wide brick. This can't be accomplished with regular minifigures as their shoulders are too fat. You'd have to use a jumper brick or go with 6 wide vehicles for the most part. I really like that this can be done with the taller elves figures. I can now make narrower carriages and vehicles that can fit 4 rather than 2. etc. Their height and differences in appearance also really make it more believable that they are elves far different from regular castle folk. Can't wait to see what comes this summer. Quote

An easily overlooked feature. Edit: It didn't even occur to me at the time, but you have a great point. Very well could have been a hint from TLG. Edited January 4, 2016 by OmShanti Quote
Iria Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 The newest Lego Elves book is coming out soon. It is titled "The Dragon Queen". Check out the Elves media thread for the image & info. Quote
legobear Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Man, I can't wait! It's a good year with Nexo knight armor and elves scenery and dragons . I was surprised to see that most people voted for Skyra's Castle on brickset rather than the tree house. This will mean that if the Dragon queen gets a castle, fans will all be on it. I, personally, prefer the forest but oh wells Quote
OmShanti Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I too prefer the forest, but skyra's castle is an awesome set. I was planning to buy a second or third of both sets (hideaway and castle) to expand Elvendale. Thanks for that info Iria, looks interesting. I'll have to pick up a copy. Quote
Vampirerichard Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 The latest issue of Yellow Brick shows us the omnious shadow of, what must be, the Dragon Queen, looking at Emily with a Fire Element in het hand. Check it out: http://catalogs.lego.com/Club/us/2016/JanFeb/yellowbrickJanuary2016/ Quote
just2good Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 The summer will bring a big black and lavender castle with an evil character, Regana, a witch with horns. Sorta like Malificent. Quote
FortNerd Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Just2good, What's your source on this? And are there pics? ;) Quote

Do you have set names like you did for themes like City and Friends? Or do you know how many summer sets Elves will even get? Quote

Just2good, What's your source on this? And are there pics? ;) Just a friend who has seen the catalog. Cannot share pics. No set names like the others, but I think there's another set- the other being an earthy dragon, and I think it's Skyra's. Quote

No set names like the others, but I think there's another set- the other being an earthy dragon, and I think it's Skyra's. Why would Skyra have an Earth dragon though if she's a wind elf? (or at least I think she's a wind elf because she has a sky castle?) Quote

FortNerd Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) Maybe "earthy" as in non-flying? Though it still wouldn't make sense if she's a wind elf. I am so excited >w< I bet we'll learn more from NY Toy Fair! Edit: It could also be Skyra + the earth hatchling, and then the white dragon queen and the white hatchling would be in the castle set? Soupperson1 Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) The horns appear to be a crown Edited January 5, 2016 by Soupperson1 Quote
OmShanti Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 The horns appear to be a crown I thought it was a crown too. I was thinking it was the elven sister of fire? Quote
Iria Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I thought it was a crown too. I was thinking it was the elven sister of fire? Yes, it does look like a fire elemental symbol in the silhouette's hand! Maybe "earthy" as in non-flying? Though it still wouldn't make sense if she's a wind elf. I am so excited >w< I bet we'll learn more from NY Toy Fair! Edit: It could also be Skyra + the earth hatchling, and then the white dragon queen and the white hatchling would be in the castle set? I agree with you. Skyra with adult earth dragon would be strange. We still haven't seen adult wind dragon yet. I'd assume it would be a purple colour. Quote
just2good Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) Oops, my bad! Here's what my insider ACTUALLY said: A big wind dragon (I think it is Skyra's dragon) with rocky formation of some sort and nice purple/lavender/black castle. Also, Ragana has horns! Edited January 6, 2016 by just2good Quote
Iria Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Thanks for the clarification just2good! I'm surprised that we are getting another purple/lavender castle. The wind element seems over represented in the theme so far. Maybe it's because it has a girlier colour attached to it, relative to the elements. I looked up the name Regana. It translates as Witch in Lithuanian, which is fitting. Quote
legobear Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Omg this summer wave is going to empty out my wallet these collectible animals and dragons... can't resist...and another castle.. I gotta say I LOVE that little blue dragon from the pegasus set. Quote
DuckBricks Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Not sure if this has been posted already, but my local Target had an Elves display with what appears to be a preview for the summer castle set... https://flic.kr/p/BVy6tX The top elements are definitely the Chima flame/Ninjago ghost dragon wing element, and it seems pretty consistent with the descriptions so far. It actually looks really nice from even just an outline preview and I'm interested in getting it. Quote
