Lego's recent finacial report mentions they had "a massive success" with Elves, so by their own admission they're making a metric $#!&ton of money. :D It's likely we'll see more sets in 2017, and they're probably working on them right now. Personally, I want to see the Earth elven sister and her castle! :D

Oh, and Sira's Airship Airship AIRSHIP!!!... though I find Sira herself to be annoyingly pretentious :P

LEGO in house themes have a development span of three years, so there should be something in the pipeline for next year. The success means another wave might get a green light for some time beyond that.

After all, Friends fans have been primed at one age point and graduate to one above. Just like most children move from city onto Ninjago.

I suppose elves could just keep on going for a while. There is a mermaid tail available for mini-dolls that could lead to underwater adventures. Just like other Action and Adventure themes, changing the environment is a great way to extend a theme.

Wasn't there a mermaid pictured on the map in last year's sets? I fully expected that to be a hint for the 2016 lineup, but I guess not.

If the line does continue (and I assume and hope that it will), I'd like to see them grow the cast of characters beyond just the core five. This year gave us a couple of new ones, which was a nice start. I'm pretty well set on Azari figures though.

Do we know, or is their a consensus on guessing if Lego will produce (or not) new Lego Elves in 2017 ? The theme looks very successful and the good thing with Fantasy is that the possibilities are endless.... Any wild guess on a possible theme ? Dragons will be hard to beat... (but TLG designs keep impressing me, so...). Could they make winged mini-dolls ? (Butterfly/dragonfly/Faery style) It would be beautiful...

Everything I've heard suggests that Elves has been doing really well. Maybe not well enough to become an evergreen theme like Ninjago or Friends, but certainly well enough that we're likely to get sets in 2017. Remember also that Elves caters to a demographic that is still underserved by other LEGO themes. It's presently their only in-house, girl-oriented fantasy theme, so I doubt they'd discontinue it unless they had a new theme ready right away to replace it.

I'm not sure what we might get next. Looking at the map of Elvendale, I wonder if the story might move to whatever is beyond the Desertlands to the west, beyond the Forest of Deep Secrets to the south, or even out to sea in the east. It's not unreasonable to expect more new characters, though I think the main cast of five lead characters will stay fairly stable.

I have little doubt that Ragana will return as an antagonist somehow, as I think it would be poor form to let her "spirit" escape as a dust cloud and not follow up on that. Maybe to keep the momentum of the dragon sets going without becoming redundant, they could even introduce magic that turns her into an evil dragon.

Ragana will definitely be back. Probably in a webisode, since Dusti didn't appear in the main special.

I personally want to see more fantasy creatures -- Giants and Mermaids have been mentioned before in the Elves universe. It'd be cool to see more witches, too.

A question for those of you with the 2016 sets: Are you able to connect two of the dragon egg bottoms (the one with anti-studs) together? Thus resulting in an egg with two connection points, like the Galaxy Squad alien cocoons: https://alpha.brickl...lor=51#T=P&C=51?

I don't have the sets yet (Sunday can't come soon enough!), but I think I can tell you with a good deal of certainty that you can't. The Galaxy Squad cocoon halves were designed symmetrically with the ability to link a half with an identical half in mind. The edge alternates between sections that have a protruding lip and ones that don't. With these new eggs, the bottom half has an inside "lip" around the entire edge, while the top is more like traditional dome pieces that have an outside "lip" broken only by notches for studs. As a result, the bottom half looks like it can be paired with older 4x4 dome pieces, but not with itself.

Just curious, and sorry if that was already discussed, but what is your favorite elves minifig ? Your favorite animal cutie ? Your favorite dragon ? Thanks !

I am super new to the theme, order some sets but didn't received any yet, hence my curiosity, but on photos, I would say :

Minifig: Sira for her color scheme, pastel hair but still contrasty. There is something I like in Tidus vivid colors as well (but find Aira, Faran, Naida and Emily a bit too dull, and Azira too flashy). Had to google Skyra and she is indeed nice and original.

Set: Secret Market place

Animal: probably Ragana black pet

Dragon: hum, not sure, difficult to judge on photo, as we only see few angles : I like Zonya head and colors but not conviced by her tail... I like Merina colors and tail (matching dragon wings), but not convinced by her head... so maybe Thorn overall (average but satisfaying, same for his realistic colors). Not fan of the purpled one's colors. And the white one is too big... But I would love a spiky Ragana dragon...

and even if she is a bit too classical/disney I kind of like Ragana too :

Shoot. I'm re-looking at some of the pictures on S@H, and it looks like you're right. Infernal lips! The connection possibility with dome pieces is intriguing, however. Thanks for the help!

The Adventure Ship, Pegasus Sleigh, and Sky Castle are all great sets, IMO.

Minifig: Skyra/Sira

Animal: Natasha (White Owl)

You guys...I watched the review of the Sky Castle and I am very tented now... my "small" incursion within Elves territories will cost me...

Ok, so I did my maths. If'm not wrong :

if you want the 5 eggs and baby dragon : it will cost you 220$/€ (Baby wind Dragon 10$, Inn 30$, Mine 30$, Sanctuary 50$, Castle 100$)

for the 5 proper dragons 240$/245€ : (adventure 20$/25€, Cave 40$, Sanctuary 50$, Market 60$, Rescue 70$)

for the 10 dragons and the eggs : 410$...

After some deep thinking, I believe I will go first for the eggs sets (then maybe the big dragons later, second hand or discounted...). I love the Market place, but it's too perfect, and I like to modify sets... With the eggs I will try to do a Dragon nursery, with 5 nests (1 in a tree, 1 a waterfall...), with the sleeping baby dragon logo from the Starlight Inn as a sign.

By the way I would say Elves sets (same for 2005 and 2006 Ninjago), focusing so much on super design, don't incite me to modify them. Whereas Nexo Knight (or Galaxy Squad, or even Ultra Agents), often sacrificing imho look over play feature/transformation encourage me to "improve" them to match their awesome figs...

PS : I am not convinced by the Sanctuary crazy colors, but very good value (lots of pieces, a big adult dragon, an egg, a baby dragon, Tidus...)

PPS : Not only 1 $ is cheaper than 1€, but also the water dragon adventure is 20$ compare to 25€ in Germany, 27€ in France, 30€ in Finland... :sceptic:

Do we have names for all the dragons?

The pink wind dragon baby is Fledge

The orange baby dragon in the Inn is Spark

More babies are apparently coming in the summer

Is the blue dragon baby in the School the same one we got last year in the Sleigh? What is his name? (No egg at this point but the dragon baby ride seems like a lot of fun....)

Yes, in the summer wer're getting Floria the earth dragon baby, Rayne the water dragon baby, and Estari the Queen baby. (judging by photos of the box art.) Yes, the dragon in dragon school is Miku, same one as in last year's Sleigh set.

And Miku is a baby dragon "Alien" because it hasn't élements unlike any other baby.

And it look like a none other baby dragon.

In our family, we say it's a rain dragon, crossbred offspring of a blue water dragon and pinkish wind dragon, but don't quote us on that :classic:

It looks like it has fur rather than scales and has a hairy tail like a horse, so maybe he's some kinda griffin hybrid? :D Or a mystery that will get solved next year?

I am confused. Aren't they all the same molds ? We are talking of the "Medium Azure Dragon, Baby (Miku) (41077) ", right ? This guy.

Or maybe (s)he is different in the show ?
