Lyichir Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I am confused. Aren't they all the same molds ? We are talking of the "Medium Azure Dragon, Baby (Miku) (41077) ", right ? This guy. Or maybe (s)he is different in the show ? Yeah, in the show it looks somewhat different from the other baby dragons, despite using the same mold for the sets. Quote
OmShanti Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 (edited) I think Miku looks different than the others because he's older. They're newborns, he's at least a year old. Edit: Based on his colors, I would assume he's a water dragon. Edited March 14, 2016 by OmShanti Quote
Iria Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 ^I agree, I thought Miku was going to be the water baby dragon of the wave, as his coloration is very similar to Merina's. Quote
Marishka Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 About favorites - it's hard to make decision! Everyone of characters have it's personal idea. But may be I choose Aira - the cutiest one for my opinion and in the same time she's not just foolish lavender-haired girl, she's inventor of some cool items. My favorite dragon is Zonya, and that's great that it is not one of the most expensive sets! I hope to see more male characters, it would be exellent if Lego will add cool haired guy like Legolas or some kind of brutal elven warrior! :) That way all girls who love fantasy will be attracted irreversibly Quote
ChristopheQ Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 (edited) Based on his colors, I would assume he's a water dragon. I have just seen the show. And they find Miku flying around on top of montains. Give me more a "wind" feel than "water". Plus Miku comes in a "wind set" and had the wind key in his mouth... But it's super possible TLG didn't decide/care about his element at the time. The "girly" colors could have been chosen to go pretty with the set. Yet, if I had to imagine, seeing white and gold are taken by "Love dragons", I feel TLG could only go beside purple/pink for sky blue "Wind dragon" (red and yellow being too fiery, green too earthy...). And for a water dragon, beside blue, they could have gone towards greenish colors (like turquoise) rather than purpely one... Edited March 14, 2016 by ChristopheQ Quote
Joebot Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I picked up the Secret Market set over the weekend, and I'm VERY impressed with the dragon. The colors, design, and articulation are a lot of fun. I find myself constantly messing around with it, trying out new poses. I really like the way the dragon's light blue underbelly comes up it's chest and jaw, and is also reflected on the "bottom" of its legs. Some really nice attention to detail there. Probably my only complaint is the facial features. I said this early on when I first saw pictures of the dragons -- they're juuuuust a bit too cutesy. I wouldn't have minded a bit more "fierce" and a little less "cute." The rest of the set is fantastic. I love all the little details, like the working hammer and forge, the hidden book, etc. it's so weird, but Elves is probably my favorite theme at the moment. After 30+ years of building Town/City, I'm bored to death with the current City theme. And Star Wars and Superheroes are all about the mini-figures these days, with lackluster sets, and crazy prices. Elves feels new and unique, and the prices are reasonable. Quote

Zonya fire dragon, Merina water dragon, Gust air dragon, Thorne earth dragon, and the queen Elandra They're also all named in the chapter book, though the babies and oddly, Tidus and Sira, are not. Euphorine Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 When I compare Miku and other baby dragons from the cartoon. Maybe Miku is not a dragon. It has a ponytail and a pony's mane. This is my little pony 2017, with two horns ! Quote
Aanchir Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 I think Miku is probably just a different "breed" of dragon. Remember, these other baby dragons are all the children of Elandra the dragon queen. Miku, presumably, is not. Quote
Euphorine Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Perhaps it's an other mythologic creature ? Quote
OmShanti Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 I think you're right Aanchir. In the first Elves episode, they call him a dragon. So I doubt if he's another kind of creature. Quote
Euphorine Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 I knows I knows... But why its appearance is so different? Who is his mother? Because it is a male dragon? many unanswered questions. Quote
Lyichir Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 (edited) I knows I knows... But why its appearance is so different? Who is his mother? Because it is a male dragon? many unanswered questions. The five adult dragons in the theme are all quite different from one another as well. Chances are there's just a lot of natural variation between dragons. The similarity of the other five baby dragons is probably best explained by them all having the same mother. Alternatively, Miku's differences could just be because she's older than the five newborn dragons. Perhaps dragons only begin to exhibit different traits as they age, explaining the much greater differences between the five adult dragons. Edited March 15, 2016 by Lyichir Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 (edited) Speaking of Miku... We are getting her today in Polish magazine! (Photo by Kobalt) And next Issue: Edited March 16, 2016 by Lordofdragonss Quote
