Blondie-Wan Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 I'm suprised we are getting a Frozen Fever set Is this the first time we get a set based on a Disney short? Mmm... quite possibly the first one based on a specific short, although they've had a few sets and themes based around Mickey Mouse and friends, who were introduced in, and have appeared largely in, Disney shorts. Coca-Cola Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 That reindeer doesn't have eyes most likely a placeholder. remember when the hulk was first shown with no printing all those years ago? Quote
x105Black Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Very happy to finally see a mold for a deer (even if it is a cartoony reindeer). I might have to get that. Quote
whung Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 One more promo set found in LEGO.com cache 30397 The figure should be Olaf Quote
Robert8 Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Ok.... there is snowman in the taking a sunbath in the beach Quote

Now I'm going to be buying quite a few of those to give Santa a proper reindeer. One more promo set found in LEGO.com cache 30397 The figure should be Olaf That's awesome! Olaf singing his summer song! Ok.... there is snowman in the taking a sunbath in the beach I'm guessing you haven't seen the movie? Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 I maybe kinda sorta need that Reindeer... set it comes in isn't bad either... ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Not too bad, unless you count the minidolls, but that's to be expected. Should make my 6 year old niece happy, though. She loves those dang things, which gives purpose to all the minidolls I get. I wish I had someone to pawn the darn things off to! My sister (for whom I ostensibly purchase these sets) is way out of the target age range, and didn't even like them (Lego--Friends hadn't yet been released) when she was! But I wouldn't dare sell them either. heck! Maybe eventually there'll be enough doll diversity to make them halfway usable. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited October 11, 2015 by Dannylonglegs Quote

See, I'm lucky - I have my 7 year old daughter who will happy take multiples of a set, so she can make a nice big one. "I'm sorry honey, I don't know why only 1 of the 9 sets you got came with a reindeer. Ignore Santa's sleigh over there..." Quote

Vectormatic Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 This is literally everything I've ever wanted. Same here, i NEED that set Quote
sunhuntin Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 love the new frozen sets. pleased to have sven and kristoff at last, not to mention a nice big sleigh for the winter village.. i do wish there was a way to give olaf his hair though. will have to get all of these, and will take a look at the palace pets to see what useful parts they may have. Wardancer Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 That reindeer needs to be sent into battle, which will hopefully harden its features. Looks like Playmobil. Quote
x105Black Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 That reindeer needs to be sent into battle, which will hopefully harden its features. Looks like Playmobil. True. A new molded deer that isn't a cutesy Friends style would be great. Hope that LEGO eventually gives us one in a Castle theme with Forestmen. Quote
skelliesgang Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 That Frozen Sleigh set looks like a Juniors build. Quote
ponschbob Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 That new princess ice-castle looks very interesting. It looks like there is only a facade and nothing behind, but where is the slide coming from? There are so many interesting parts. White leaves, light aqua slopes, these small snowmen and so many I can't identify... these green things at the roof, at the balcony, these balloons,... Awesome set! :) Quote
Soupperson1 Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 This is the best wave of Disney Princess yet..., just bummed there's no new princesses Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 The "In Summer" set is pretty clever, although Olaf is seriously lacking a boater hat. The Palace looks interesting. Do Elsa and Anna have new hair? I love the Snowgies. THANK YOU, LEGO, FOR THE LITTLE MERMAID JUNIORS SET. I've been hoping Ariel would be in a smaller set again (I need that hair), but I didn't think it would happen. Quote
Roebuck Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 The antlers on Svend look fabulous I know it is not the finished mould, but hopefully they will be a separate part Quote
Dorayaki Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Arendelle Castle has a very beutiful pattern and color palette. But for unknown reason, both it and the cabin from the other set looks "flat" and not a 3-dimension scale set like LEGO's Castle houses look. The new reindeer molds looks very much like that it'll be used in more Seasonal sets, which literally means LEGO ignores Sven's preciseness. On the other hand. Kristoff's look.... uh... I know Club Max's hairpieces matches, but kinda worry that his face print isn't good enough and the normal face mold would just make him a generic Heartlake guy. The Palace animals and buildings are a phenomenal job despite no ne new Disney story entry is the major letdown in this wave. Do I expect more in the future? Well... if LEGO can treat them as a seperate line. Although it feels like that LEGO want to make a bigger pet world for KFOL girls, I would expect that LEGO do put some focus on other bigger animals other than reindeers too. Quote
kirkwoodproductions Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Not sure if I like this new Cinderella dress design yet, though it does look like a new head which will distinguish her from Merida (at last). I'm hoping it will grow on me because it means I can buy this cheaper set to complete my Princess collection instead of getting the big expensive castle from 2014. Quote
kirkwoodproductions Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 I'm a bit disappointed the only proper sets (not counting Juniors or Palace Pets) are both Frozen, especially as Elsa and Anna aren't even officially Disney Princesses. I was hoping for a Belle, Snow White or Mulan (not too bothered about Pocahontas and Tiana), and possibly another Merida and/or Rapunzel set (because they're my two favourites). I could imagine Snow White not even being hard to make, as she could use the hairpiece used for Anna and Ms Stevens in Friends. And she could come with a little cottage a bit like this clone-brand set: Quote
