Chuck Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Those new 2x2 boxes in the motorcycle chase look especially useful, too. -Chuck Quote
Asuka Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Thanks for that nice picture find, Navy Trooper Fenson. *y* All those sets look pretty good to me, especially these trucks. *sweet* The Raider of the Lost Ark set seems like a very neat play set, with a decent atmosphere, although I wish there would be a little more plants for that extra jungle feeling.... especially when I look at that stimulating background picture. X-D Quote
zouave Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 skdsjsdfj Hold on, I think I'm drooling. *wipe* There thats better. These sets are absolutely fantastic. :'-) I can't wait till these roll on the shelves. Quote

X-D You could always buy two of buy two of them! X-D I think that the Temple set kind of Had to be open, but the designers did an excellent job of instilling a jungle atmosphere. But I agree, more plants would be good, especially with those new plant peices! *wub* Up and Atom! :-) Edited September 26, 2007 by Batbrick Quote
Piranha Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 (edited) Holy son of a megablok!!!!! :'-) They are even more awesome than I thought!!!! 7620-I love it *wub* x200 -The map looks printed :-/ -Love dirtbikes -Indy's dad is cool 7621-I love it even more *wub* -Ark Ark Ark ARK!!! -Marion is *wub* -Old skellie with NEW skellie arms!ARG!! 7622-Nice!! -love the Truck -Is that a machine gun mold?! -4 figs I guessed right 2008 ON!! Piranha EDIT:Indy's legs in all four sets don't have printing on them?? The first real life Pic(Not CIG) showed printing... Edited September 27, 2007 by Piranha Quote
iamded Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 -The map looks printed :-/ I don't get it. Is that a bad thing? 7620 Motorcycle Escape Nice, 2 bikes and a flag, barrier and some new boxes for them to smash through! :-D And a small building for scenery. 7621... Snake... Room... :-/ Statues are cool, EF Robot arms, 6 red snakes and 3 green. New torch piece, curled whip. I do hope we get an uncurled whip. It doesn't look like it. 8-| It is nice however to see we do get the satchel as a new piece. 7622... Car Chase? Okay, now it's starting to look like the back of the van is made of paper. The machine gun doesn't look new to me, it looks like one of those space pieces... 2x1 with 2 studs on 3 sides, and 2 anti studs on one, with a protruding anti-stud on the 1x1 end... if you can figure out what I'm trying to say... :-/ Still, the car looks sweet, the front of the truck looks cool, I thought we got new wheels there for a second. Maybe the hinge things at the back of the truck just fold up to hold the paper (or fabric) thing in place. :-/ And of course, yay, pearl gold chest! 7623 Run like heck from the Rolling Boulder :-P Lets see... Start at the Idol holder thing, doge the firing spears, use the whip on the bar holdy thing, run from the boulder, dodge the freaky skellie (old arms yay!) and out the exit. But wait! What is that thing hanging from the tan 'washing machine' piece either side of the exit? I can't really tell. Anyway, dodge the natives, hop on the plane, and fly away. Yay. So, I can safely assume this set has some great play features! X-D The skull I think is form the Jack Stone Pirate line. So, looks nice! I really want the truck set, but I'll probably only get the Motorcycle Chase set, with the great line up we have for Castle '08! :-D Quote
Piranha Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 I don't get it. Is that a bad thing? :-D Nice you caught my own mistake I actually meant it looked stickered :-/ However it still is an awesome line! Piranha Quote
Shakar Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 The thing that catches me the most is the whip. Like others pointed out, in that "promo" pic it was straight. However the box pics show it curled. If it was able to bend it would be sweet! It could really make some nice tentacles, not to mention that making a minifig use it to grab other minifigs would be really fun..... Shakar Quote

Oh I could see many many uses of such a wip >:-) X-D Any fans of wonder woman around here ;-) I would be surprised if there was only one whip mold (in the case the whip can't bend). After all Batman has different weapons and SW has 2 new blasaters !! More moulds that just one whip if we take into account that the weapons used in this line are the classic WWW weapons ;-) Maybe in may we'll see something new in the wonderfull world of whip X-D *yoda* Quote
Shadows Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 The problem with a flexible whip is how to make it. The only fairly effective way would be wire inside plastic, and that's a huge eye-poking hazard when extended to full length. If they get panicked over technic cannons, imagine coated wires! 8- Quote

Lt. Col. Thok Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 Wow, these are wonderful! My favorite would have to be the car chase- WWII cars on! Quote
Scouty Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 I really don't see how they could make a flexable whip, sure i would love one but i just don't think it could be done :-/ I could think of two ways: They make the material out of a part rubber, part plastic mixture for flexibility. Two: The make a solid plastic grip with rubber or soft plastic top. Or it's all soft plastic than can bend, like the fishing pole. Quote

Looking for a display name Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 (edited) he he what would you guys do if these where fake sets and lego thought it would be fun to do a late April fools? >:-) - also with regards to the fertility element i think it could be this and i found some other stuff that is wrong / proof of prototypes -oobie Edited September 28, 2007 by oobie scoob doobi noob banobie Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I'm loving these sets *wub* Nothing to say about the motorcycle chase that hasn't already been said. That Nazi looks awfully happy with his bike and pistol though :-D The Temple looks great- Egyptian architecture, Anubis guards, the ark, carrot torches, snakes.. I'll definately be getting this *wub* The vechiles look wonderful. They look nice and detailed, almost like cafe corner :'-) The big set looks good, but I probably won't get it, unless it is on sale. I'll be sorely disappointed if it isn't C3P0's head! What a great chance to reuse a part within the Lucas license and it'll crack me up at the same time. Heh, that reminds me of this brickfilm: As for the Nazis, natives and Belloq, they probably are just prototypes. In the trailer for the video game, the natives and Belloq look different. Quote
hollisbrick Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Nice observation oobie! I hope we do get some re-used parts Quote

Add a black light-saber handle on the end and there you have it. Or so I think. Also, found this bigger picture of the desert chase set. Quote
Shadows Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 ... Add a black light-saber handle on the end ... YES! I've been waiting so long for one of those and your new picture makes it very clear that you're right on the two main parts involved. Black Lightsabre On! *y* Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Add a black light-saber handle on the end and there you have it Actually, I think that's one of those skateboard wheels :-( Are those mudguard pieces on the jeep new, the flap with an edge cut off? I havn't seen it before. Quote
hollisbrick Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Are those mudguard pieces on the jeep new, the flap with an edge cut off? I havn't seen it before. I think it is a peice that you would use for a sail(for a ship) Quote

I havn't seen it before. Nope, definitely a lightsabre handle, look at the way it attaches into the other piece and note the two ridges going around it. No question in my mind. The mudguards are actually referred to as a Flag 2 x 2 Trapezoid at Peeron and Bricklink and came out in 2005, but this will be their first appearance in bley, so that's a nice addition to the range. http://peeron.com/inv/parts/405 Quote
