oo7 Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 (edited) Awesome shots there, the torso of Dr. Jones Sr. will surely be very useful in some lovely historical MOCing. *wub* The pic I have of Belloq is a prototype (looks like Lupin but without the scratches.) Yes, I still believe that the Belloq design is going to change in the near future, there are way too many Harry Potter pieces in the current version. I love the nazi head and torso !! Yeah, who knew? Batman's a Nazi! X-D TLC did a great job to keep in the "Africacoprs" spirit but leaving the nazi symbol out !! Its just a perfect desert uniform !! Oh yes, I agree it matches that great Deutsches Afrikakorps imagery really well, but this motorcycle set is actually the only one of the January line that is not set in a desert setting, but a German-Austrian border. :-) Edited November 27, 2007 by oo7 Quote
natelite Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Yeah, who new? Batman's a Nazi! X-D it's bruce wayne. batman has a nice white bandana which doubles as his eyes. :-P Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Wow, that Dr. Jones Sr. torso might replace my current sig figs torso when it comes out! Quote
xwingyoda Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Yeah, who new? Batman's a Nazi! X-D X-D No comments here :-P Oh yes, I agree it matches that great Deutsches Afrikakorps imagery really well, but this motorcycle set is actually the only one of the January line that is not set in a desert setting, but a German-Austrian border. :-) I know but that torso should have been in bley for that austrio german setting :-P Wow, that Dr. Jones Sr. torso might replace my current sig figs torso when it comes out! Okie grandpa :-P *yoda* Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Okie grandpa :-P *yoda* And that's coming from a 900 year old Jedi master! :-P ;-) Quote
Tanotrooper Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 lets all send a mail in 2008 to lego to produce a dark bley/light bley german torso (the same but in that colour...) Is that flesh or a shirt the soldier is wearung under the uniform? TT Quote
Athos Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Henry looks great to me. The soldier is ok (I'm not one of those guys slavering for soldiers). He's about what I expected and will make a nice goon for JT to fight. I'm particularly happy that there isn't any fleshcolors on the torsos. Steve Quote

Mr Spielbrick Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Awesome! TLC absolutely nailed (excusez le mot) Sean Connery! I love love love love looove that face! As for the nazi... I'd never pass up a chance to score Bruce Wayne's face in a cheap set, so count me in! Yay! So far, TLC seems to deliver greatly on their Indy line. Bring on 2008! Wooohooo! *feels the slight sting of a needle, swirls around, looks at someone saying "Calm down, mister Spielbrick!" and passes out* Quote
Belloq Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 I wonder why they didn't call 7621 "Indiana Jones and the Well of the Souls" instead of the "Lost Temple". Maybe because parents who haven't watched the movie (wonder if there isanyone over 25 that hasn't seen these films) might think that this set is some kind of Satanic rite related...thingy. They be like: "Oh, look a new lego has poppe up." "Whats this? There no picture!" "It says Lego Well of Souls. Goodnes gracious me! This set is EVIL!!!!!!!" Quote
Scouty Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 I see your point, then. I guess the names of these sets, like the truck set could have "Chase for the Ark" instead of "lost treasure", but I suppose Religion would interplay there. Quote

I guess the names of these sets, like the truck set could have "Chase for the Ark" instead of "lost treasure", but I suppose Religion would interplay there. Yup, thats exactly what I mean. X-D Anyway, I think isn't making any ToD sets because a set called "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" featuring a beautiful maiden, a short chinese kid, Indiana Jones, several demon worshipping cult memebers, child slaves, a boiling pit of lava and with a very special feature: a heart-ripping priest! Now you just press a button and he rips out someone's heart! Watch as the organ bursts into flames while he holds it! (batteries NOT included) Plus The name "Temple of Doom" makes you think of, well, doom. Quote

I guess the names of these sets, like the truck set could have "Chase for the Ark" instead of "lost treasure", but I suppose Religion would interplay there. Religion has nothing to do here since its not the Ark in the truck but a regular chest ;-) To answer your wells of souls' question I think TLC used Lost Tomb because IMO only hardcore fan would understand that name and TLC needs to appeal to the vast majority of kids and List Tomb sounds more intreguing for a younger audience ;-) *yoda* Quote
Mr Spielbrick Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Gheh, yeah, good assessment on the no-Temple-of-Doom-sets-yet idea, Belloq. But Lego never had much trouble with an arm-severing, his-own-sister-kissing jedi, so I guess we'll see ToD sets in the future. Heck, if they can find a solution to NAZI's, I'm sure they can solve the evil cult problem. The Club Obi-Wan scene at the beginning and the raft sequence can easily be Legofied. No one would be offended by that. AND it could include Willy and Short Round. A set with Mola Ram and two kali guards in a temple doesn't seem too problematic to me either. They've flirted with the same kind of characters and setting in past Adventurers sets. As long as they don't include child slaves or heart-rippings, I'd say even ToD can safely be Legofied. Quote
Athos Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 >:-) mwuahahahaha! (evil laugh) >:-) look at the soldiers torso... Its possible that its flesh flesh :-P under the uniform TT Looks more like a dirty undershirt to me. Steve Quote
xwingyoda Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Looks more like a dirty undershirt to me. I don't know if its dirty but its definotly not peach ;-) Can you guys imagine a military guy with an open shirt like that ?? Especially under a Nazi Regime, he would be shot for that. *yoda* Quote
Scouty Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Like that one Nazi would have done to Indy when he was in the mountain...er...base X-D . I'm guessing, as Vader suggested, it is an undershirt. To answer your wells of souls' question I think TLC used Lost Tomb because IMO only hardcore fan would understand that name and TLC needs to appeal to the vast majority of kids and List Tomb sounds more intreguing for a younger audi Good point. Plus The name "Temple of Doom" makes you think of, well, doom. Another good point! Quote
Belloq Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 (edited) But Lego never had much trouble with an arm-severing, his-own-sister-kissing jedi I know! Lego's morals are dropping lower every day! X-D I mean, honestly, who would think they would make a who actually cut of some poor kid's bounty hunter father, even if he was on the verge of being killed! Edited November 27, 2007 by Belloq Quote
Piranha Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 The captured the Nazi Generic Soldier very well :-D , Bruce Wayne a nazi?! Henry Jones is also very well done with a nice use of a classic hat!Cool detail on torso, you can see the little clue book thingy in his pocket I don't know if its dirty but its definotly not peach Can you guys imagine a military guy with an open shirt like that ?? Especially under a Nazi Regime, he would be shot for that. Funny, in Raiders, Indy dressed as a Nazi and had an open shirt becuase the outfit was too small :-D Probably a tan shirt or dirty from the dry desert Indy is turning into an awesome line! *sweet* 08 On Piranha Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I didn't read the last two pages, but the Indy motorcycle set went for over 100 bucks! Someone out there must have honestly believed that it was extra-rare! That's insane, and a set that size? X-O Quote
Mr Spielbrick Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Seriously? ONE HUNDRED dollars? Someone got Punk'd, man... Heavily. Now let them leak pictures of Marion, Belloq, Jock and Satipo. I wanna know what all those figs look like! Of course, I'm gonna buy all sets no matter what. But still. I'm curiouuus! Quote

TT It's a shirt that the german is wearing under his uniform. I'm pretty sure of it. I like the minifigs very much, you can use them with the yellow heads! =) Quote
