Batbrick Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Wow! That is a great Ark MOC, the flying wing is good, but it is a little too wide and not long enough. Should there be a 2nd wave (and there SHOULD) that set is a must! Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
Corvus Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Is there a website that those MOCs are on? Or are they yours? Please specify, I don't want to google it! :-| Quote
Piranha Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Is there a website that those MOCs are on? Or are they yours? Please specify, I don't want to google it! :-| :-$ Sorry its a real hard to find website Even google can't find it Its practically impossible to acess unless you know how to find it Shhh Listen close and I'll tell you Brickshelf ;-) Piranha Quote
RocketMan Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 I'm probably the most confused of all ~ I've never seen these movies! :'-( I gotta rent them: whats chronological order for these (i,e, which is first, then, next, last ) :-$ I can't buy the legos without knowing what I'm buildin'! :-D Yeay you better rent those masterpieces asap :-P here is the order: * Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark * Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom * Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade I will rewatch them myself this comming week ;-) *yoda* [anal retentive]Well, if he's going to watch the movies in chronological order, than he should watch Temple of Doom first, it is a prequel to Raiders. The three movies take place in 1936, 1935 and 1938, respectively. But you can really watch them in any order, so starting with the original movie would be best.[/anal retentive] I love those movies to death, and those sets are wonderful. I especially like how they recreated the first scene from Raiders. Don't know why they gave us this machine gun vehicle in the truck set. It should have been the car with Belloq, Toht and Dietrich... I'd have preferred getting minifigs of those guys over getting the big gun. Now all we need is some Temple of Doom sets - I'm thinking Club Obi-Wan, mine car chase, the temple itself... Quote
hollisbrick Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 THEY LOOK SOOO KOOL *sweet* !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cant wait! Hmm these are the 1st 2008 pics so there is probly more pics comming. Quote
Shadows Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Now all we need is some Temple of Doom sets - I'm thinking Club Obi-Wan, mine car chase, the temple itself... Nothing says LEGO to me like a flaming spear in the chest! :-P Indy On! *y* Quote
Darth_Legois Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 I dont like Indy but im gona get 2 sets just for the pieces and the cool vehicles *y* Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Yeah, maybe later 2008 will spell more Indy! I think the fact that they're making only 1 or 2 sets for each movie is sad, with 4 for the new one. I can see more for the first three, and possibly more for the new one which sounds like it'll have to do with either caverns or underwater. Those are the only places where crystals really grow. An underground river would be nice... 8- Quote
RocketMan Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Nothing says LEGO to me like a flaming spear in the chest! :-P Indy On! *y* Now that's what I'm talking about! The second movie is brilliant, but sadly so under-appreciated... Nice try, Lao Che On! *y* Quote
Batbrick Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 No doubt that the Temple of Doom Heart Pulling Ceremony won't be made, but the sets that could be are: Club Obi-Wan Shangai Chase Elephant Ride Mine Car Chase Bridge Fight Plane Escape. Seeing the scenes reflected perfectly in our favourite toy is a dream come true! :'-) Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
Axle Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Club Obi-WanBatbrick Away! >:-) What's club Obi-Wan? *wacko* Quote
Lord Beckett Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 (edited) What's club Obi-Wan? *wacko* That's the name of the Chinese club where he got poisoned and from which he managed to escape using the gong (beginning of the 2nd movie). Edited September 14, 2007 by Lord Beckett Quote
SwissY Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 That's great! *wub* I think I will buy all *sweet* It's better as I expected... SwissY Quote
Brainbox Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Arrgghh, it's happened again! I'm away from the computer for a couple of days, and all hell breaks loose by way of news, and I miss everything. |-/ Anyway, onto the sets. The motorbike set's nice. It's small, probably affordable, and has two of the new dirt bikes in, which is good. The sidecar might be a little bulky, but I can always MOD it to my design (that I'll have up soon to show you) after I get it... which I will. The small temple again seems nice. Not much to speak of really, but nice. The truck set, I might have to get this too. Both the armoured car and the desert truck are very nice, and clearly period. Plus, the armoured car is pretty militaristic, so the design could be rehashed to make an Army MOC of some sort. The big temple, meh, I'm indifferent at the moment. I'll have to wait for bigger, clearer pics. Although the 'native' fig is an interesting inclusions. Good interesting, that is. Quote
Shadows Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Here's hoping there's a Connery minifig in at least one of those sets. X-D Motorcycle sidecar. Let's just all hope it isn't a recycled head. Oh, heads will roll, and I don't just mean minifig scale. >:-( Quote
Batbrick Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I would be SO angry if it was recycled head! >:-( The "open" atmosphere of the temple escape was inevitable, but by gosh it looks like TLC did a good job! *sweet* Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
Merkel Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 There's no native minifigure in the Temple set. There's 4 figs in there: Joc in the plane, Belloq on the outside, Indy himself and Sapito, who was Indy's sidekick in the beginning and who betrayed him. Oh wait, I just looked and the pictures on the first page. There is indeed a native in there. I saw other pics and there was no native in there. Quote

ridethehighwind Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 The largest set really reminds me of Legends of the Hidden Temple. It is definitely going to be interesting to see these sets! *y* Quote
SirNadroj Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 The largest set really reminds me of Legends of the Hidden Temple. It is definitely going to be interesting to see these sets! *y* Yeah, I agree! That show was pretty cool! They always gave away $50 savings bonds and koosh toys! :-D Quote
Batbrick Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 So are these the characters we are getting: Indy (really?) Indy's Dad Marion Belloq A Hovitoe Generic Soldiers (aka Nazis) Alfred Molinas Character (I forget his name :-$ ) Any more or any corrections? Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
sam89 Posted September 15, 2007 Author Posted September 15, 2007 In the excitement of posting this news I forgot to post my own opinions :-P Motorcycle Chase - Excellent set, two bikes and a Sean Connery figure. Probably won't end up getting it, but I can see why plenty will ;-) Indiana Jones and the Lost Tomb - You can't make out much in the pic, but it looks promising. Strange that this one is cheaper than the truck chase set though ($19.99 and $29.99, respectively), considering it's got more pieces. Race for the Stolen Treasure - This set is just brilliant - the best of the bunch! The two vehicles are some of the best that LEGO have produced. I can also see the gold treasure chest in the back of the truck. The back section of the truck looks interesting. It looks plastic to me, but the way it curves around on itself suggests that it's cloth. We'll see. Temple Escape - The picture's too small to make out the details, but it should be good. What can see looks good. So overall these sets are fantastic. Way to go LEGO, and lets hope the IJ4 sets are just as good! Quote
tedbeard Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 (edited) I've never seen the movies nor do I want to see them Not to go too far off-topic but, ARE YOU KIDDING?!!??!?!!! If you thought the Pirates of the Caribbean movies (which I infer from your avatar) were good you will LOVE the Indiana Jones movies (well maybe not so much Temple of Doom.) :'-) Edited September 16, 2007 by tedbeard Quote
