Batbrick Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Not to go too far off-topic but, ARE YOU KIDDING?!!??!?!!! If you thought the Pirates of the Caribbean movies (which I infer from your avatar) were good you will LOVE the Indiana Jones movies (well maybe not so much Temple of Doom.) _______________ I disagree, Temple of Doom, while still inferior to the other two films, is a great movie and very underated. Either way, TLC would be mad not to base any sets on it, the new peices, great sets, all can come from a Temple of Doom set! :'-) Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
RocketMan Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 ^ Well (and I hope I'm not straying too far from topic here)... Personally, I think Last Crusade is the least of the three. It feels like it was toned down a bit to appeal to kids. It is often silly just for the sake of silliness (not for the sake of storytelling), and the main villian Donovan is weak and idiotic compared to Belloq and Mola Ram. It's still a great movie, however, and I hope there will be more sets from it apart from the motorcycle chase. Quote
???theriddler??? Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Great indy sets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote

Obviously the crusader/chalice room would be easy. One knight, big barrel, assortment of cups and goblets. All old parts reused. Heck, they could clear out the entire Harry Potter library with the book burning scene ;-) Truth be told, all I'm really asking is that they make us a nice minifig scale dirigible. NO TICKET ON! *y* Edited September 16, 2007 by imperialshadows Quote

People say it is too "light" and such, but that is just the nature of the film. Lucas and Speilberg were smart not to make all the films the same. Raiders is the adventurous one, Temple is the dark one and Crusade is the lighter one. And Crusade was the one that carried the most meaning too. Thats my two cents anyway! :-) Sets that could be based on Crusade would be: Train Escape with Young Indy Venice Boat Chase Airplane Dogfight Tank Battle and many more! (poor salesperson in me :-$ ) Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Nice Ark here!! That is a MOC by Brikkelauget-member Matija. :-) Here's the topic. ;-) Quote
Tanotrooper Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 how about sets from the young indy series? hmm... WWI germans... TT Quote
Scouty Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Sorry to say but those aren't the actual figs. That gun looks like a brickforge, so do the helmets. And it doesn't look like any car in those sets. Sorry :-) Quote
oo7 Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Erm, I think Mr. VBBN was just posting a nice MOC that resembled something from the Indiana Jones movies. Here's the Brickshelf gallery. It's definitely a nice model (would be better with a pivoting gun stand) and it looks like the helmets and weapons are made by Brickarms.com..... Quote
JoeMI6 Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I'm loving the look of all these sets. It's great we get to see more of those cool little bikes, and I think that even from these early pics, we can see that TLC will probably do Indy justice. Quote

iamded Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 (edited) Yep. those are definitely Brickarms. I was thinking of putting in an order, but I've never shopped online before, I don't have pay-pal, and the shipping has doubled. And I live in New Zealand. :-( Which is a shame. MatthewUSA Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Thank you sam89 for the report. I definitly cannot wait for these sets to come out. I definitly *wub* them all. They all look really cool. Way to go LEGO. Quote
xwingyoda Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Watching Raiders of the Lost Ark again right now ( :-P ) and there is a set I would love to see actually: Katenga's cargo ship + Ubot 8- Quote
natelite Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Well, I hope lego is comfortable enough to make villian sets separately from hero sets, like in SW. If they went the route of batman where every set is a pair of bat-vehicle and villian vehicle, then it'll be terrible. Combo hero-villian sets limit the possibility because you have to dedicate half of the bricks to each side. Better to just focus on one. Quote
Markypops Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 In set 7621, underneath the Indy minifig does anyone else see a black minifig just wondering if we are getting a minifig of the Anubis statue Indy knocks over in the film or wether my eyes are playing tricks. |-/ Quote

Corvus Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 (edited) I really hope we can get a Chris Craft boat chase from Raiders of the Lost Ark. Now that would be something! *sweet* Some Chris Crafts would be excellent for town people. Raiders of the lost ark: Chris Craft chase two Chris Crafts A small dock and a few bueys Includes Marien and Indie, plus two of the secret society guys. $29.99 USD Edited September 17, 2007 by Mr. Mandalorian Quote

How do I keep doing that? |-/ That's right, it was the Holy Grail they were after... And those boayts are Riva Aquarama if I recall correctly !! I refer to any boat that is wooden, classical, and has a kick-@$$ engine a Chris Craft. :-P Quote

After viewing Last Crusade tonight, I don't entirely agree with you there ;-) Great sets from that movie would include the classic good vs bad combination. For instance, here are some examples of sets I reallyt would love to see: * Attack of the tank: rescue Jones senior from the nazis bad guys * Escape from he zeppelin: will the Jones escape the nazis bad guys (one biplane + one 2 wings planes) * Escape from Venice: will Indy and Elsa escape Kazim and the guardians of the Grail within Venice canals ? See what I mean ? The best scenes include both sides and adds playability ;-) EDIT: BTW I know I am dreaming but after viewing Batman's weapons, I would love to see a new weapon: a luger 8- Quote
