Vader Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Is the gold treasure chest in the desert chase set supposed to be the ark, because the design is different in the temple set. Maybe its because the main point of the temple set is the ark, while the main feature of the chase set are the vehicles themeself. I guess I'll have to add the temple set to my list!-Chuck No the ark is in the small set with marion, but not in the back of the truck. Quote

I think that the set 7622 is not suppose to be Indy getting the ark for some weird reason since the truck carries only a sweet chest !! The name is after all "Chase of the Stolen Treasure" ;-) So I totally agree with you !! The ark is only in the set 7621 ;-) and looke really incredibly detailed !! *yoda* Quote

Lets all hope a Tank Battle comes out, too! -Chuck Quote
The Kid Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Are the Native's legs blue with brown on the bottom to create the "shorts" effect? 8- Quote
Joebot Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Hey that guide wont be alive for long once i get him Yeah, I just noticed the guide mini-fig in the boulder chase set. Very cool. He was played by the great Alfred Molina, the same dude who played Doc Ock in Spidey 2. He said in an interview that he STILL has people come up to him and say, "Throw me the idol, I throw you the whip!" The Indy sets look fun. They certainly picked some of the best scenes from the movies. Anybody else humming the Indiana Jones theme song while looking at these? Quote

casewindu Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 that face for Indy's dad is great! :-D the temple set is smaller than I thought from the first picture and ony one aztec guy is a bit of a shame, yet the plane looks superb!. I think the set I am most looking forward to is the chase set with the van and car but also the bike set. These really remind me of the old adventure line which is good because they where amazing! *y* thanks for posting new pics guys! ;-) Quote
Brainbox Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Wow, nice find. These new pics really show more of the ses which I already thought were really nice. The sidecar's not brilliant, but now that I've got my own design, that can be changed. I still like the set though. Nice faces for Indy and Henry, and the map is new, not just the one from the Adventurers line back in '98. The new bikes are here again, which is good too. The Temple, well, I like the Anubis statues, and that's, what, nine snakes? I'm afraid I might have to get this as well. The question is though, whether the thing that the snakes are coming out of moves like a sort of trap-door thing. Desert Race. Simply brilliant. I love the gold chest, and the mudguard construction with the flags is pretty innovative. Probably another addition to the purchase list... Raider of the Lost Ark isn't perhaps as nice as the other three IMO, but stil a nice set. The 'natives' legs are pretty cool, with the loincloth-skirt-thing. The black leaves on top of the skull idol are cool. Dead forest anyone? Question: The whip is a different shape to the one in that very first pic of the Indy fig we saw all that (short) time ago. Does this mean it can be positioned? Unlikely I suppose, but we can but hope. Unless there're actually two molds of whip and each set comes with both- curled, and straight. Quote
Athos Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 I think these must be prototypes. Here's why: -Naboo Fighter Pilots are chasing Indy -Belloq looks like the illegitimate child of Doc Ock and Peter Pettrigrew -Old grey on cab of truck -Hovito is just a brown figure with blue pants -Old skeleton in jungle temple -Ark is different in Well of Souls from the one on the truck Steve Quote
SirNadroj Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 (edited) I think these must be prototypes. Here's why:-Naboo Fighter Pilots are chasing Indy Steve I hope you're right! The naboo pilot torsos are nice, but I want some green/brown nazi uniforms! Otherwise, I need to get some REAL nazis from brickarms! ;-) Edited September 26, 2007 by SirNadroj Quote
WookieeWarrior Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 I'm pleased with how they handled the Nazi issue. I was worried we'd get no bad guys at all or that they would have extremely bland uniforms. It looks really nice. *y* Quote
Hinckley Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 15 pages? Sorry if this has already been mentioned but do I see a new CRAPP in the Raiders temple set #7623-the one with the boulder. All the way to the right, the idol setup seems to be on a round CRAPP... Quote

Batbrick Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Its nice to be getting new peices as always, well done *yoda* on spotting the bamboo leaves. Belloq I am REALLY disappointed with, he didn't even have a moustache in the film! >:-( Unless that is a mouth........ :-$ All these sets I am happy with! *sweet* We get old skellies again and lots of cool new and sought after parts. INDY ON! Up and Atom! :-) Quote
Athos Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Belloq I am REALLY disappointed with, he didn't even have a moustache in the film! >:-( Unless that is a mouth........ :-$ I'm pretty sure these are just preliminary prototype sets, particularly because of Belloq. His torso is from Harry Potter (Wormtail) and I think the face is Doc Ock. I can't imagine Lego doing something like that, even with their recent irritating penchant for reusing old faces/torso. xwingyoda Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Anyone notice the bley, upside down, baby dinos being used as heads on entrence of the big temple set? Cool, nice eye Chuck !! I haven't notice that. Its great to see that this Indy line takes a lot of elements from the fantastic Adventurer's theme !! That baby dino is just one of the numerous exemple and I think its really a nice touch ;-) *yoda* Quote
