Robert8 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Weidenfeller is definitely no option. Reus and Hummels should be save for Germany. IF they release real life persons of course. Agree. There is no discussion about the Goalkeppers, IMO Germany: Neuer Spain: Casillas France: Lloris England: Hart Wait: Why didn't they include Italy on this? It's kinda unfair, isnt' it? A Buffon Minifigure would have been awesome! Quote
bricksfan Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Yeah... I really want El Sharaawy, Ciro Immobile, and Balotelli Quote
MAB Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Agree. There is no discussion about the Goalkeppers, IMO Germany: Neuer Spain: Casillas France: Lloris England: Hart Wait: Why didn't they include Italy on this? It's kinda unfair, isnt' it? A Buffon Minifigure would have been awesome! If it is those four teams, I think we will hear a lot more of this. Why no Italy, or Belgium, or Portugal? All good football nations and good lego markets. Then why no Hungary or Czech Republic, homes to lego manufacturing? For me, it would have been great if they did 24 figures, all generic players one per country. Quote
Robert8 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 (edited) Because all of them are World Champions. Belgium, Hungary and CR are not. That's why I don't get Italy being excluded Edited December 28, 2015 by Robert8 Quote
MAB Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 England haven't been World Champions (World Cup Holders) in a long time. So long, we've got songs about it that need to keep getting changed. Quote
Itaria No Shintaku Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Agree. A Buffon Minifigure would have been awesome! Because LEGO hates us XD Quote
Soupperson1 Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 I wonder will they include any cheerleaders to avoid a no female series Quote
Robert8 Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 There are not cheerleaders in Soccer matches (thank god) Quote
KCMatze Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Haha nope. No cheerleaders in football here! Quote
Robert8 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 The ''Mystery Hair'' might be a prototype colour for the rumoured German football series I think you're right That could be for...... hmmmm.... Bastian Schweinsteiger, Sergio Ramos, David De Gea, Mario Götze, Thomas Müller, Olivier Giroud, ..... Heck.... It could be for anyone Quote
Soupperson1 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 That could be for...... hmmmm.... Bastian Schweinsteiger, Sergio Ramos, David De Gea, Mario Götze, Thomas Müller, Olivier I don't think this series will have named characters, the olympics series didn't. Quote
Cagast Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 I don't think this series will have named characters, the olympics series didn't. That's because olympic series minifigures weren't based on any specific real-life persons. This series will have actual players of Germany, England, France and Spain. Also, I can't imagine what names would they have then? German National Team Player #1, German National Team Player #2... No, they will definitely be named. Quote
KCMatze Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Has anyone ever thought of this series being split? Like 4 players (or 3 and one goalie) for each country so that they don't have to make 4 completely unique series? Or is that completely off the table? Quote

Amazing Bricks Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 This isn't going to be a 16 minifigure series. Quote
KCMatze Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 That makes sense! Can you clarify? A little more maybe? Quote
williejm Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 And they all would have the same torso and legs.... Presumably - if named players then the back of each torso will vary with names and numbers ... Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 That makes sense! Can you clarify? A little more maybe? That's about all I know :) Quote
MAB Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Presumably - if named players then the back of each torso will vary with names and numbers ... And like Panini stickers they will include some players that won't play and leave out others that will. I wonder if they managed to get agreement with the English FA to use the England badge and kit design. Something Panini has not been able to do for quite a while now. Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 26, 2016 Author Posted January 26, 2016 Apparently this was just announced at the German Toy Fair Quote
MAB Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Confirmed, but nothing new. Not much of a teaser, just plain white minifigs. Quote
KCMatze Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 ...but a nice little pic anyways. Now we do at least know what to expect when there are exactly 11 minifigs. Teaser pic here Quote
ritzcrackerman Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I'm a die-hard Germany national team fan, so I'm über-excited for this!!!! Quote
