Dannylonglegs Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Where is everyone seeing a net? Nevermind. Looks great. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Can't tell if sarcasm or… Not, lol. Also, Tribal Woman should use a new hairpiece, that one is good enough but I think printing would be cool too. Quote
Robert8 Posted November 17, 2015 Author Posted November 17, 2015 It seems every character from this series is getting at least 1 new mould Quote
Clone OPatra Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Not, lol. Hmm, I'm not expecting a new bent-arm mould. I think the image is just the typical promotional stylization, and the crutches won't be able to go under the arms at all. I could be wrong, but that's my feeling. Quote
telaruhn Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 (edited) Yeah, she is totally reusing this hairpiece That's what I'm afraid of. I've been indifferent about that hair, so I hope they do something exciting, like articulate the headband with printing, to make the part more interesting and valuable. Maybe a different feather or something? If it ends up being a new hairpiece, which is unexpected IMO, it will be very similar to that one, such that it leaves the back unobstructed for the baby.4 I don't see how you all came to the conclusion that the baby is meant to be carried on the back of a minifigure. It looks like it can be held in arms which seems more logical to me. I only came to that conclusion because the underside of the baby's head is slightly recessed, which seems to support the idea that if the baby is upright and flush with a minifgure's back, then the baby wouldn't get in the way of the minifigure's head or hairpiece. Hopefully that makes sense... Edited November 17, 2015 by telaruhn Quote

x105Black Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Does anybody know if the picture of the Awkward man is finale or not? Because I dont see how he could hold crutches like those. It's just an artistic rendering, so there could be differences in the physical product. Was the net a confirmed new piece? I thought it was just speculation. Hopefully that makes sense... Same here. Just looks like it will fit that way. Also looks like holding in the hand would only happen from the top, due to that cutaway. I would expect to see it held from the side if it were held in the hand. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Was the net a confirmed new piece? I thought it was just speculation. Yep, it's a new piece. Animal control guy will have it. Quote

Yeah, I'm assuming that the crutches will be kind of lackluster and just held in the minifigs arms. The rendering is what makes it look off imo. Excited to see it though. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 (edited) Just realized, what if that mop is a leaked Disney minifigure piece? The dark green helmet is a good example of tricking us to think the zombie football player would be in it, but that didn't happen. I'm just saying don't get caught up in thinking that's a new piece for this series. I hope and think it is because it would look great with the mullet hair. Lyichir Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Loving that new toenail mold. Ew, toenail mold... I think you can get medication for that, at least. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Then what would green helmet be for? Green helmet is for Ninjago. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Still Raindrop Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 (edited) I don't see how you all came to the conclusion that the baby is meant to be carried on the back of a minifigure. It looks like it can be held in arms which seems more logical to me. That net looks a bit crappy, maybe the final version will be better. In several American Indian nations, women carried babies on their backs in cradleboards that look very similar to this one (I've heard these carriers referred to as "papoose," though as far as I'm aware, the word in its original Algonquian referred only to the child, not the carrier. I know more about the Ute and Puebloan peoples than the others, though, so I'm not a great authority). As far as the non-use of a minifigure head, I'm actually glad. Babies have smaller heads in real life, so I've always felt odd using a full-sized minifigure head on a baby. Edited November 17, 2015 by Tea Weevil Quote
Robert8 Posted November 17, 2015 Author Posted November 17, 2015 I know 3 new moulds in 1 minifigure is uncommon, but I do think Clumsy Guy has bended arms It doesn´t really matter, though, we´ll get it sooner or later. I wouldn't buy a Cinderella minifigure, so I need that piece in S15 Quote
Legowizard Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Where do you see the net? And what size do you use for your letters? Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Where do you see the net? And what size do you use for your letters? Letter size 4 when you do the formating manually. Ex: text ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
DarthPotato Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 I never thought we'd see a Skunk, but I'm definitely not complaining! My first thought was to pair it up with the Skinnet figure from Legends of Chima. I'm really happy it's an animal control guy instead of an insect exterminator. Quote
Shib Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Isn't that net an old fabuland piece? I know ive seen it in yellow before Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Isn't that net an old fabuland piece? I know ive seen it in yellow before I don't know about Fabuland, but a similar (not identical) net featured prominently in the Johnny Thunder Dino Island theme, where Sam Sinister used it to grab poor Baby T. This net has a shorter handle, and is coloured white, not yellow. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Shib Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Ah, yes that was the part I was thinking of, they do look similar until you compare them then it's an obviously different part. (for anyone that's interested https://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=x246&idColor=3#T=C&C=3 ) Looks like it was first done for fabuland, so was a bit on the oversized side for standard minifigures so hopefully the new one will be better scaled. badbob001 Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 That baby-backpack looks like a big toe, so that is fuel for the MOC builder to collect 10-20 of them to make fingers and toes for a giant. Quote
8BrickMario Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Mind you, the baby will have a printed face, so the print would have to be removed before use as a toe. Quote
