My first thought after seeing that net piece was this looks like fabuland. Seems a bit bulky and cartoonish. I see what you mean about the baby on the back, probably right, i didn't really make the connection between tribal and nat.american, i imagined her more like jungle tribe. I'd be happier with a more universal baby mould.

Yep, it's a new piece. Animal control guy will have it.

Interesting. It originated in Fabuland as a wind gauge, but this appears to be a new color.

I know 3 new moulds in 1 minifigure is uncommon, but I do think Clumsy Guy has bended arms

I'm curious to know why you think that.

Previous CMF Native American minifigures have been called Tribal Chief and Tribal Hunter. My instinct when I read that is the same as yours, but experience says otherwise.

I really doubt that the Clumsy Guy will have bent arms. The mold itself seems far from useful, and it would just feel strange to suddenly alter the classic arm for the crutch piece. It's likely that the image is just artistic license. Jestro's hat wasn't pointed upward...

The only reason I feel the arms for the Clumsy Guy are just artistic manipulation is because of the short sleeves. It just doesn't make sense for them to make a new arm mold for the Clumsy Guy using the dual-color injection technique. If we were to get a new arm mold, I would expect them to use one color first before we start seeing more complex variations.

Anyway, I count 10 new molds so far, and not all of them are headgear, which to me is speaking well for this series. Though we haven't seen anything for the Jewel Thief, Dancer, Scary/Evil Knight, Kendo Fighter, Astronaut, and Laser Robot, I sincerely hope that these characters aren't all made up of old molds. There is some thematic space for each of them that could utilize a new part. New parts are always exciting, too, so getting a figure with one may make them more desirable at first glance.

Out of the ones we haven't seen parts for, I'm most excited for the Laser Robot. I hope they do something new/exciting/bonkers with it, and considering the robots we've gotten before, this is the one I hope is not a rehash in any way, shape, or form.

For an animal mold, I wouldn't mind getting a gecko or iguana or something like that, but any animal that we haven't gotten before would still be great nonetheless.

Agreed! I like robots! My fave is the clockwork robot, which is currently my keychain as well. Can't wait to see how this one stands out from the other 'bots!

Then that would be 4 new moulds: headpiece, crutch, left arm and right arm

With short sleeve, only 3 new pieces are needed: headpiece, crutch and the upper part of the arm, which can be used for both sides

Though unlikely, it's possible that the arms could be made in a certain way, such that they could be used for both the left and right arms like the Vampire Bat's. I guess I don't get the "upper arm" you're referring to...

Here's another reason we likely won't see new arms-- the crutch has a horizontal bar for the minifigure to grasp so that the standard minifigure can hold it with arms straight down. If you don't know what I mean, check the image again. Also, crutches aren't held by the very top part (awkward guy, indeed!).

Those nets will go straight to the parts bin, the one that's never used with all the fleshie heads, tinted windsrceens and bold minidolls.

I'd like to see the pig mould soon :-) and maybe if we got to see the crutches that might shed some light on the new arm debate, although I would have thought not since we'll be getting new flippers as arms for shark guy. If they were going to spend money making new moulds then the satyr legs would be more welcome (for me), but maybe not for everyone because I guess a new arm mould could be used for loads more things than just the crutches.

Absolutely. I'd much rather see Satyr legs. It's the main thing I'm hoping to see.

The thing about the theoretical new arms for the clumsy guy is that it would just make me even more aware of how poseable the regular arms aren't. I'd also rather see new leg molds.

That's a great point, and one I hadn't considered. You're absolutely right. Once they start down that path, I'd expect them to produce a wide variety of arm poses (but we know it would take them years to even give us a second one, and it would likely just be a recolor of this one).

I'm doubtful of the legs, but still very, very hopeful.
