telaruhn Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 (edited) I am pretty sure no new mold will be created, and that crutches will be made in a way that can fit a minifigure hand/arm like in my picture. As someone who learned how to properly use crutches, I really hope that's not the case. Crutches are meant to fit under the arm and not over it, so that illustration would seem awkward when translated to a figure. With this in mind, and with the idea that there will be no new arm mold, I believe the crutch will simply end where the figure grabs it with his hand, and the part that fits under the shoulder is omitted because of the figure's lack of articulation. The crutch is still very recognizable even if it doesn't match real-life crutches exactly. Any idea when White Fang review will be released? His review last year for Series 13 was released on November 30th, so I bet we could get Series 15's review at the end of this month or the beginning of December at the latest. CM4Sci Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 That just looks odd, no offense. Too high up. Maybe it's like a normal crutch but with a cut in the middle of the top so it appears that it's under the arms. Quote

sunhuntin Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 what about crutches like these? not sure how the round part would work, would have to be rubbery to reduce the chance of breaking off. https://www.google.co.nz/search?q=crutches&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAWoVChMI9LW68teayQIVxhymCh3bXAzo&biw=2144&bih=1014&dpr=0.9#imgrc=deaNyRUeFyn7GM%3A Quote
Blakstone Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Those would be good but they don't match the artist rendering from the LEGO Club magazine. Quote
Jbricks Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 (edited) The crutches don't necessarily have to be accurate in being under the arm. Lego has made compromises like this before (ring fitting over whole hand) where a part looks spot on, but the way it interacts with a minifigure is slightly different from real life. Lego wouldn't make crutches that work only for one minifigure that has special, new arms. That would ruin comparibility. How would our crippled minifigure be able to move? And judging from the drawing, the crutch has a spot to be gripped by a normal minifigure so that the shoulder rest is at shoulder level, just on the wrong side. Which, in my opinion, would be the best possible way for Lego to do crutches. Edited November 18, 2015 by Jbricks Quote
AmperZand Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 I suspect the crutches will have a gap along the top so that they appear to be under standard minifigure arms just like BrickWarriors' crutches: http://www.brickwarriors.com/crutches-pair/ I have some of these, and they look fine. Quote
BrickFit26 Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Come on LEGO release those official pictures if series 15. The suspense is getting too high, specially for Clumsy Guy. I'm thinking before thanksgiving. Quote

Actor Builder Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 (edited) Those nets will go straight to the parts bin, the one that's never used with all the fleshie heads, tinted windsrceens and bold minidolls. Would this parts bin happen to be for sale? EDIT: Got to stay on topic; Can't wait for pics! Edited November 19, 2015 by Actor Builder Quote
telaruhn Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 (edited) Since the net is presumably going to go with the Animal Control Officer, it has to be big enough to capture the skunk or else it would be an incongruous combination of accessories. Regardless of that: I agree it seems rather disproportionate, but I could see that net being useful, and I only think that because of how huge it is. Edited November 19, 2015 by telaruhn Quote
gedren_y Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I am betting that the handhold of the crutches will be slightly offset, to allow for proper arm rotation. I am also wondering if the head bandage might just be the recent redesign of the pirate bandanna. Quote
obsidianheart Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Drawing looks like the crutches are just going to be half-sized with no protrusions above the waist. Quote
x105Black Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I am also wondering if the head bandage might just be the recent redesign of the pirate bandanna. It looks to me like a new mold. Quote
MAB Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Since the net is presumably going to go with the Animal Control Officer, it has to be big enough to capture the skunk or else it would be an incongruous combination of accessories. Not necessarily. It could be that the net represents one that is slightly elastic and only just holds the animal when in a ball. That said, it is totally unrealistic anyway for an animal catching net, it looks more like a butterfly net. Plus surely most pros would use a trap not a net. I suspect the crutches will have a gap along the top so that they appear to be under standard minifigure arms just like BrickWarriors' crutches: http://www.brickwarr.../crutches-pair/ I have some of these, and they look fine. Yep, I said it a while back ... http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=113150&st=450#entry2365570 I find the BW ones are slightly too long, making the top bar look like it goes through rather than just under the shoulder but even so they look good. Splayed out arms wouldn't be such a good idea. If they did that, why not legs that are bent or legs "at ease", or straight out arms, and all sorts of poses. Minifigs wouldn't look like minifigs any more. Quote

CM4Sci Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I'm seeing people say people on here confirmed 'Scary Knight' was a Zombie Football Player and that the Laser Robot was a S6 Clockwork Robot recolor. Where did anyone confirm this..? Quote

Where did anyone confirm this..? Unless someone knows better than I, I'm betting both of these rumours are erroneous. At least the Football player is certainly wrong, due to the fact that the entire rumour is based on the incorrect assumption that the dark green Football helmet would be part of the CMF line. Looking forward to a Fright Knights reference! So, in other news, I absolutely adore that Skunk! Very cool! Also, I'm thinking now that the design of the crutches will simply be wrong, and they won't have the shoulder rest at all. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Where did anyone confirm this..? Dear god... I hope that whoever said that is wrong. We dont need more zombies in the CMF line And we already got a recolor of the S6 Clockwork Robot in Series 11 so I think it's unlikely Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Yeah, those two things are false. We already know that the dark green helmet will be in a ninjago set. There goes the chances for a zombie football player. Now I don't see why they would reuse the clock work robot head. From what I've been told "the laser robot is awesome, and you'll have to see it for yourself." Quote
