SpiderSpaceman Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) Evil Wizard and Winged Warrior are building to an obvious secret theme... Wonder if a "Space Adventure Hero" is in the works. Edited December 3, 2015 by SpiderSpaceman Quote
BrickFit26 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 *oh2* Finally! Some of these figures look really good. I need to closely look at each one. My faves so far are the Queen, Flying Warrior & Satyr/Faun. Also loving the pig and skunk animals. I was hoping the wrestle had some kind of a new belt mold, I don't care for the trophy he has. I need a better look at the Astronaut to make up my mind about him. Is Ballerina's tutu a plastic mold or will it be a cloth like the skirts and capes we usually get. Oh, and I am so happy about that new mold dress piece for the Queen. I was thinking it would be flat from the back by the 1st pic we got of her, but she turned out good. Quote

Would buy that theme!EDIT: Wonder if the S13's beard fits on the Flying Warrior? Edited December 3, 2015 by obsidianheart Quote
BrickFit26 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 The winged warrior foreshadows the movie Gods of Egypt. See here: http://cdn2-www.comi...ofegypt0001.jpg Good observation, besides the golden spear, everything about the flying warrior is amazing. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Ok so what I heard, ended up being mostly true. The dancer would end up being a Ballerina, different astronaut compared to the city ones, and the jewel thief being female. The janitor was a nice surprise. Quote
AmperZand Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Lots to love in this series: the satyr, queen, evil knight, shark lycanthrope and winged warrior especially! I can't tell if the satyr has a goatee. If not, he should. Also, as has been mentioned, he should have panpipes, not a straight flute. Panpipes - the clue is in the name, TLG! Fortunately, I'm not a purist, so am happy to give my faun a third party syrinx. Despite my quibbling, this is my favourite minifigure of the series. Some of the CMFs that don't interest me such as the pest control officer, astronaut and tribal woman have accessories that make them worth getting, namely the skunk, CS flag and baby. The jewel thief will be useful for her head and (new?) hair and the wrestler for his torso. Quote
Ultron Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 The jewel thief will be useful for her head and (new?) hair and the wrestler for his torso. Not new, it debuted earlier this year on Black Widow from the Marvel theme and is also due to be reused in the Bank modular. It is a new color for the mold, however. Quote
KlodsBrik Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Thank you LEGO ... Now i also have to spend a lot of money on minifigs next year. So many useful accesories and lovely figs in this series. LEGO definately did it again. Quote
Jern92 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) So apparently I will go broke buying minifigures next year. Aiming for: 2 Shark Guys (I try to get 2 of each animal suit figures) 3 Farmers (want pigs for my Medieval Market Village) 1 Animal Control Officer (for the skunk) 1 Queen (just so my King has a Queen) 3 Satyrs (2 for parts and 1 extra to keep whole) 2 Tribal Woman (I want those babies!) 1 Winged Warrior (great statue for my city) Edited December 3, 2015 by Jern92 Quote
BrickFit26 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I can't get enough of the Queen. Too bad she didn't come with an accessory, I was hoping they would give her a staff. So no new hairpieces in this series, just a recolor of Black widow's hair piece & Calamity drone's hairpiece. I'm also starting to like the Evil Knight. And the Janitor with his new mop Quote
SpiderSpaceman Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I'm so glad cool premium figure parts get a second chance in this theme. I never got the Chima ornate feather armor or the Galaxy Squad robot wings. Like other parts that were locked to pricey sets, like the POTC mermaid tails and the chima snake tail, Alien Conquest face/brain, etc. Quote
Robert8 Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 Some guesses for the quotes: "I swear I'm not a licensed character" - Jewel Thief "My hairstyle is so mainstream" - Animal Control Officer Quote

Actor Builder Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) "I'm alright!" -Clumsy Guy "I just beat up some doofus in crutches with my new mace!" -Scary Knight Edited December 3, 2015 by Actor Builder Quote
BrickFit26 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 The more I look at the Astronaut the more I see how they made him an old school spacesuit design. It reminds me of one of NASA's first space suits from the Mercury era except in all white instead of silver. I starting to like it more than when I first saw it. Quote
Robert8 Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) Now my thoughts on this series: Ballerina: Really cool. The new tutu piece is long overdue. I don't see how they could re-use it though. Maybe a Black Ballerina (like Black Swan or something?) Tribal Woman: Really nice printing. Almost too much. The S1 Tribal Hunter and S3 Tribal Chief will look outdated compared to her. The baby is the highlight here Kendoka: The Ninjago one was better. I don't get the katanas. Seriously. Clumsy Man: The crutches just don't work like that. I wonder why they did an accessory like this. It's just wrong. Other than that, really nice Satyr: AWESOME. One of the highlights of this series. Love the legs and the hairpiece. As others said, he need a panpipe but that would had been too expensive Shark Suit Guy: Of course, the costumed character is one of the best minifigures of the wave. Love the color scheme. Queen. My god.... This is the CMF theme at its best. Amazing execution. Love the new dress piece. Wrestling Champion: Filler. The least interesting to me. I don't get his trophy. They don't use that. They use belts. Jewel Thief: Ok, this is like the S14 Fly Monster all over again: I don't get how they did this without licensing infringement. Strange hair. The S1 Cheerleader hair in black would have been better Farmer: Kinda plain but I like it. He looks too similar to the S11 Scarecrow. Love the pig Astronaut: I'm on the minority here but I like it. I really do. He is simple, like the S1 or S2 minifigures. Like the Deepsea Diver and the Tribal Hunter and the Ninja Scary Knight: I'm sure that's his actual name because it doesn't fit him. About the minifigure, he look really good. Love the maze. I don't have that helmet, so this is a must for me. Winged Warrior: Nice but not what I was expecting. He looks like a statue. Love the helmet and the wings. Animal Control Officer: She looks kinda boring. Love the skunk piece. That hairpiece is just.... overused. Laser Robot: Another rehash of the S9 Mech. I didn't like him at first but now I think he looks quite nice. I want to see more of him. Janitor: He totally needed the bucket piece. Other than that, he is what I expected. He looks quite nice. Overall. This series is a 8.8/10 for me Series 6 is still the best one. Edited December 3, 2015 by Robert8 Quote
jluck Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 The more I look at the Astronaut the more I see how they made him an old school spacesuit design. It reminds me of one of NASA's first space suits from the Mercury era except in all white instead of silver. I starting to like it more than when I first saw it. I really like it. The simplicity is really classic, the flag is great! It seems to fit into the old space theme. Quote
sunhuntin Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) thinking about clumsy guy and the way he is holding the crutches... i wonder if that was deliberate? he seems fairly accident prone, so maybe his using them wrong is another mishap waiting to happen? i hope he has double printing on the head with an "oh no" wide mouth face on the back, like he is falling over and yelling at the same time. like the boy in the blue shirt: http://www.brickshel...99/img_8082.jpg Edited December 3, 2015 by sunhuntin Quote
Jbricks Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Just looked at some Land O Lakes butter and was startled at how similar the logo was to Tribal Woman Quote
Captain Dee Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) Oh no... That Queen and Tribal Woman are going to do horrible things to my wallet... I might get a few others - oh, shoot, I know I will - but those two are the highlights for me. The queen's dress is really good and the baby alone is great, but I like both figures in their entirety. The farmer will be useful for his hat and pig, otherwise he's so-so. Astronaut is cool; winged warrior is irresistible in gold even though I have no use for the minifigure; ballerina is neat; janitor's mop is great, and so on. Pretty good series if not excellent. I'll happily trade my satyrs for your queens any day. Deal? Edited December 3, 2015 by Captain Dee Quote
BrickFit26 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I really like it. The simplicity is really classic, the flag is great! It seems to fit into the old space theme. Definitely. I agree the simplicity is great. I'm glad they added the flag. The Astronaut is one of my favorites now. Can't wait to see some higher quality pics of him. Quote
rodiziorobs Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 That Animal Control Officer better have an alt-face... ...for when she catches the skunk. Quote
Legowizard Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Must have that satyr! And the winged warrior is awesome to go in my kings mythological medieval army. Shark suit guy is mind blowing. Clumsy guy is so cute. Umm is it just me or is that "cat" burgalar really catwoman? Ballerina is pretty sweet though would have liked maybe black.... Quote
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Regardless we'll be seeing them Jan 1st, right? Like everyone, I'm hungry for pics, but in the meantime the best we can do is wait patiently. It'll be 31 days at most from today until we see the figures! Wow, my upper bound was 30 days too conservative. I'm surprised so many people think the astronaut is ordinary. I for one am delighted to see the classic space logo in arm printing! Quote
