Actor Builder Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Agreed. I have both other shark figs, Atlantis and Harry Potter, and the shark parts of those figs so far have been useless. Both? But wait! There's more! There are two Atlantis Sharks, the Harry Potter abomination and the Pirates of The Caribbean Hammerhead Pirate. There might be more I forgot, as well. It seems one could start a collection of Shark figures akin to the costumed characters. My Sharkman Army will rule over all. Quote
gedren_y Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 "You are correct, sir!" How could I have forgotten those? I don't have them, and like the CMF version, don't want them. If I do get one, I'll cheaply trade it. I'd rather have the Laser Robot. Quote

I'm not long collecting but I'm happy with what Iv got so far. I like rarity and valuable figures. Shark guy will look good in there!:) You've got some of my favourites there, Although I don't hate the official lego display boxes, I do wish that lego (or another company more likely) would produce something a little less clunky in which to display ones collection, I'm not a big fan of the IKEA deep frames people mod and sell on either... jjava Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Initial Thoughts: Farmer: Quite like it and it will be an easy one to feel for. Wrestler: meh Janitor: Will be great for my city! Ballerina: meh Kendo Warrior: YES! Just awesome! Satyr: Not sure, needs close up. Jewel Thief: ok I guess. I suppose I can always use more bad characters in my city Queen: Kind of nice looking but no real use for it. Astronaut: indifferent Shark Guy: General don't like costume ones. Winged Warrior: WOW (even though no use .. I think I will use it as a statue in mansion) Knight: Love! Even though I don't have much use of it. Tribal Lady: Yes! Clumsy Guy: Love! Will be great for my MOC hospital. Laser Robot: no, not my style Animal Control: skunk looks good, rest is meh Most likely won't get the entire set unless "feel trip" is unlucky. There are a couple that I want multiple of though. Quote
telaruhn Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I just noticed - Shark Suit Guy's alternate face is on the box, in the group photo. I think that's the only time you see it. IIRC, the only other time we've seen alternate faces in renders is Medusa, who uses her calm face in her solo picture and in the 4x4 group photo, but her scary face on the packets and in the group photo at the top of the boxes... Robert8 Posted December 9, 2015 Author Posted December 9, 2015 If I recall correctly, this is the first costumed character with double face Quote
8BrickMario Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I sorta like the ambiguity they're giving us with the costumes, by allowing them to be real predators or just a silly outfit. Quote
Robert8 Posted December 9, 2015 Author Posted December 9, 2015 Mind sharing those pics so all of us can see them? :) I can't But it's not big deal anyway: just the group pic, the group pic but with the orange background and a couple of extra pics There is nothing new to see with the exception of what I already said: Double face in the Shark Suit Guy and the Kendoka face Quote
telaruhn Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) The Kendoka face sounds like it might mix-and-match with the Hun Warrior. Is it just me, or does anyone else think the Laser Mech's headprint will be that jagged line all around the head? I know that technology was used for the Skeleton Guy, so it would make sense that they would try to keep using it on other figures. Also, any predictions for figure distributions per box of 60? Here's my guesses: 5's: Scary Knight, Wrestling Champion, Laser Mech 4's: Farmer, Astronaut, Clumsy Guy, Winged Warrior, Satyr, Janitor 3's: Shark Suit Guy, Tribal Woman, Queen, Kendoka, Jewel Thief, Animal Control, Ballerina Edited December 9, 2015 by telaruhn Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Thanks for the pictures, how about a screen shot of the kendoka? The pictures you put of the shark guy were perfect, something like that would work. If you can, that'd be great but it's ok if you can't. Quote
TBL Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 AWESOME. Does the Scary Knight have a new mace piece? and does the Flying Warrior have a new armor piece? The Scary Knight does have a new mace piece, but the Flying Warrior doesn't have new armor. The armor is the same that we got from the Phoenixes in Chima. If I recall correctly, this is the first costumed character with double face I dare say you are right! Plus the shark head will be very useful for funny stop-motions. Quote
BrickFit26 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I'm also glad that they gave the queen a solid new dress piece instead if a brick built one. That new piece comes in handy for other uses. I can already imagine different future minifigures for upcoming series. Evil Queen, Marie Antoinette, Andean female (Mujer Andina), Victorian lady etc. Quote
Robert8 Posted December 9, 2015 Author Posted December 9, 2015 I'd say Marie Antoinette is mandatory at this point.... I mean, they can't just leave that dress piece without using it for her. Quote
BrickFit26 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I'd say Marie Antoinette is mandatory at this point.... I mean, they can't just leave that dress piece without using it for her. Omg yes! I've been wanting a Marie Antoinette figure for a while now. The new dress is perfect for her, all she would need is a new tall victorian style hairpiece. Quote
sunhuntin Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 seeing shark suit guys alternate face makes him a buy for me. need that scared face! Quote
CM4Sci Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Discovered this on a foreign shopping site. Enjoy! Quote
Robert8 Posted December 9, 2015 Author Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) Well.... That's the Kendoka face haha Where did you find it? Edited December 9, 2015 by Robert8 Quote

TheGreyPilgrim Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Quite a few in this series that I like. I'll try to find the satyr, Queen, Knight, clumsy guy, and shark suit guy. Quote
Eggyslav Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Omg yes! I've been wanting a Marie Antoinette figure for a while now. The new dress is perfect for her, all she would need is a new tall victorian style hairpiece. UGH, I'm really, REALLY sorry for the upcoming ranting, but I HATE it when people confuse historical periods, Marie Antoinette lived in 18th century, and died beheaded during French Revolution. Queen Victoria ruled over Britain during second half of the 19th century. The style of art and fashion during the reign of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette is called ROCCOCO, not Victorian. Gosh, didn't you have history classes in school? Jeez! Ok, rant is over, and yeah, I also do think we need more 18th century style minifigs, apart from the Revolutionary Soldier, the Judge, and Pirate Captain... Quote
gedren_y Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 She is also famous for her disregard for the starving French population. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 She is also famous for her disregard for the starving French population. Meh, that's just nationalist revolutionary propaganda! But I'll second the above history lesson. This dress style has a very specific time prior to it, but I'm sure Lego will make the most of that period of time. I can't wait to see what Lego does with it... and yeah, Marie and her Rococo hair are absolutely on their way! I'd love to see more rococo inspired figures too. Not because I particularly like the maudlin, affected aesthetic, but since the costumes are so specific and amusing, I'd love to see Lego's take on them... and especially the hairpieces! More 18th-17th century figures are definitely needed imo... as are 19th century figures, of course. Also that Satyr is just so cyuute! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
8BrickMario Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 And she got the nickname Madame Deficit for spending most of the country's money on her jewelry...why do we want her again? Anyway, I doubt we'll get an official M.A., just a lookalike from the French or English court, with a tall wig and large dress. Quote
