AmperZand Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Noticed that there appears to be a lot of sets available from Lego that aren't available from Argos, Toys r us etc. Maybe Lego reserve the intitial stock for their own stores to drive footfall and greater propensity to purchase more. That was true of the S13 and S14 CMFs in 2015. The Lego stores were selling them a few days before anyone else. It doesn't surprise me that they're doing the same again. Quote
telaruhn Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 I will say the S15 packaging looks nice, though I'm not a fan of how they photoshopped the front row. In particular, why is the Wrestling Champion holding the trophy like that?! and why did they just impose the Laser Mech's sword so it's floating in the air behind him instead of him holding it? Just looks odd IMO. Well, at least the back row of figures look great. Quote
BrickFit26 Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Those who got them early are so lucky. The calendar indeed says a Feb 1st release date. Looks like a miscommunication of some sort happened. Quote
OmShanti Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Congrats to those who managed to score these early. You are the lucky ones. No word on early release here, guess I'll have to wait until February like everyone else. Quote

Not really, just different sales strategies for different parts of the world. They are released already. The initial release date was 1 Jan (Europe). This is why people need to put locations when they post info from S@H or Lego stores. Quote
ObadiahPoundage Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Lego Glasgow has them on sale. I picked up a few bags and the Brick Bank Didn't have time to feel what they were. Everyone else was though and was very busy at the Minifigure section. Quote
MAB Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Everyone else was though and was very busy at the Minifigure section. Getting sharks to put on eBay, no doubt! Quote
WhiteFang Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 These popped up in Singapore today too Glad to know that it has appeared in Singapore retail stores. Quote
ObadiahPoundage Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Getting sharks to put on eBay, no doubt! No doubt! I see that Shark boy is one of the minifigs that is more common in a box. 5 in a box of 60. Easy to recognise via feel method too. I can see some people clearing the racks of shark boy, so the scarcity will not come from the original box numbers but from those that have got to the shops first and rifled through. I got one shark boy. I picked up 16 packs. Got 10 minifigs with 1 spare flying winged thing, 1 janitor, 2 clumsy guy and 2 kendo fighter. Quote
davidmull Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Getting sharks to put on eBay, no doubt! Shark guy as cool as he is won't be as valuable as all the previous suit guys as there's more in each box. Quote
LegoCityNut Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Picked up 10 today. Think I got all different ones, and used my VIP points to score £5 off. Pretty pleased with them. Quote
MrFishboy11 Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Would anyone mind posting a clear picture of the barcode for these figures? I think it'd be helpful in trying to find the figures at Target. Do any targets even have the boxes in the back? Quote
KCMatze Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Germany got the figs, too. Got all 16 today plus some for my nephews. Happy! Quote
notpennysboat Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 (edited) Finally got them today in France. I was sure to have the tribal woman (feeling the baby) and clumsy guy (feeling the crutch) and then no :o So, monday ! The skunk is so cute, the queen and flying warrior are awesome (from my memories it's the first time we have brickable pieces in a bag? the pieces to hold the wings), the faun is awesome too (the headpiece with ears&horns) but I'm sure there are gonna have some discussions here about the legs. I mean the legs are great, but to make this, LEGO had to find a compromise, so the faun can't sit down and there no holes at the back... I love this minifigure but just one neg point, not sitting down :( espiecially if the piece is reuse for Beast in Disney Series. The knight and the mass are great and his face is cool with one teeth out of mouth. The Kendo guy and Laser Mech are really good too. To finish, just to try I put the Mc Gyver mullet piece on the janitor, it's a funny combinaison :) Edited January 3, 2016 by notpennysboat Quote
MAB Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 ^ we've had proper bricks / plates in a bag - Smithers, Holiday elf, Team GB gymnast, etc. Quote

MAB Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 As noted above, the delay in some locations may be due to the football ones in Europe needing to be squeezed in over summer although this presumably would have a knock on effect on the spring release too and also doesn't explain other countries such as Singapore getting them on time. williejm Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Made a visit to my nearest Lego store to seek these out and managed to get 14/16 - all shark suits & queens had gone already and they just had a few left. Have to say this series is awesome. Only one I'm a bit 'meh' about is the Kendo fighter. There are some great new parts, useful torsos, hairpieces & and accessories. Even some of the simpler looking figures have great detail, like the side leg printing on ballerina, animal control officer & wrestler. Astronaut's printing all over is simply superb. Laser robot & winged warrior come with great torso prints under their armour. For those moaning about the animal control officer vis a vis the reused hairpiece - everything else more than makes up for it: two great new faces, useful torso, with shirt sleeves, printed legs and the new net ... And of course the adorable skunk is worth it on its own. Quote

strangely Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 I can't say I'm surprised about the delay in America. Many stores in my area still have entire boxes of the Halloween series sitting on the shelves. They just can't seem to get rid of them. Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 I can't say I'm surprised about the delay in America. Many stores in my area still have entire boxes of the Halloween series sitting on the shelves. They just can't seem to get rid of them. That's why it was poorly planned to not end the series after October. Now they're just the leftovers of a past holiday, instead of being timely and done with after Halloween. Quote
tafkatb Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 How would they have "ended" the series after Halloween? The series ends when everyone has bought them all. Quote
