A retailer web site had listed a bunch of sets for 1H 2016, including CMF Series 15 and a mysterious "Special Series"

Nothing ever escapes the eyes of the Lego enthusiasts! good catch! I'm interested as to what that special series might be... is it the Disney one people have talked about?

Well, now that CM4Sci has confirmed the Satyr, the Shark Suit Guy and the Tribal Girl, some thoughts:

Satyr: We already now what his hairpiece will be. So I guess he'll have at least 1 new accessory. Some say a pan flute but I guess a horn:

Tribal Girl: Nice callback to Series 1. And this is an interesting question: cloth skirt or dual colored legs? I hope for a cloth skirt. I guess Vitruvious hairpiece for her:

Shark Suit Guy: I guess he'll have a light blue/white color scheme. 1 new headpiece, as usual for a costumed character, and fins instead of arms, like the S9 Chicken Guy

I hope he won't look like a shark eating a guy, like the S14 Plant Monster

The special series is likely the German Football series. I'm hoping I can convince my cousin to acquire the series for me, though she doesn't even follow her own country's national team.

Good observation Robert8. I'm very pleased that we are finally getting a satyr. This goes to show that TLG is listening to what fan really want. Hopefully this means that we are closer to getting a centaur in the future. Many in the past believed that a medusa was not possible due to the size of her tail and Lego made it a dream came true. Never underestimate the power and genius of TLG! I'm also looking forward to see the shark suit guy, should be very interesting. And can't complain about the tribal girl either - the tribal guy in season 1 is still one of my favourite minifigure. I noticed that the terracotta warrior is in CM4Sci list as well, I'm keeping my finger-crossed that this figure will be released as well. It will be the ultimate army builder fig.

Now watch...Shark Suit Guy won't resemble a shark at all, but will be wearing a chainmail "shark bite suit" like marine biologists put on for protection when they swim with sharks.

Which then could be used for a more historical Castle line one day, maybe?

I'd rather the Shark Suit Guy just have arms, I think the fins would look too awkward. I could be wrong, they might do them well.

The Tribal Girl would be great. It sounds like the type of figure that would fit in well with Forestmen.

I'm mostly excited about the idea of the Satyr.

Hoping for leaks soon.

I imagine the Shark Suit Guy's only fin will be the one on his back, since the Chicken Suit Guy was really the only one who required new arms.

That's what I would expect. This could be a really cool minifigure.

So to those who have seen the catalog, were there any pictures of this minifigure series in there you could tell us about? Anything you haven't already hinted at, anyways?

Wait...The Tribal Hunter from Series 1 was a female?

I always thought it was a dude...

No, it was a guy. Robert8 only meant that she would go well with him, as they will likely be very similar.

The Tribal Hunter doesn't have the female contour printing that modern female figs have. Back when the Western theme was produced female figs didn't have this. There was only one female Indian figure in the Western theme, though she was in four sets: Chief's Tepee (6746-1), Boulder Cliff Canyon (6748-1), and both versions of Rapid River Village (6763-1 and 6766-1).

We need a proper female counterpart to the Tribal Hunter. Or better yet, a resurgence of the Western theme, though that is a topic for different thread.

Shark Suit Guy, if/when we get him, will likely be a full body suit like the Hot Dog Guy, and hopefully will have sideways pointing fins instead of arms. I don't know if that would allow for the capacity to hold things, though.

Terracotta Warrior? Now this is one figure that would be best done with proper molded armor. A new armor mold would create the capacity to finally have a Central Asian historical theme. Another topic for discussion elsewhere.

About the Satyr: in classic depictions he has the same hip height as a goat, and is depicted shorter than women. He also has a horse's tail, not a goat's. The ideal CMF Satyr would have two new parts and reuse two parts.

I see no need for a fin arm. It'd be a somewhat wasteful mold, and the arm itself would be totally impractical. I like my minifigures to be able to hold things.

They did it with the Chicken Guy!

I would want him to have fins, because if you really wanted a figure without fins you can always swap to arms (with grey, white, yellow or blue hands depending on your look or the shark suit) the but you can't go the other way.

But without arms might limit its use as an army builder? I mean if it can't hold anything all it can do is grin and flap at the other minifigures...
