Robert8 Posted February 26, 2016 Author Posted February 26, 2016 I heard someone got 2 heads once, but it wasn't missing any piece In this case he is missing the mask, so it sucks Quote
Actor Builder Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 so it sucks They guy's got a whole box showing in the picture. He'll be fine. Quote
CM4Sci Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I've got the S15 box but I only have 8 of the figures. TRU lets me keep the boxes usually. Quote
sunhuntin Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 we went to the next town yesterday and went to the toy store that prefeels and marks the bags, i picked up the cat burgler, kendo fighter and another smithers. they had 2 s15 boxes marked, and the front box would have been about 70% #4 - clumsy guy. i dont know how they ended up with so many, i thought he would have been a lot more popular. BrickFit26 Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 #4 Clumsy Guy #14 Wrestling Champion Love that little Clumsy Guy and his banana peel tee shirt. Quote

Which toy store does that? Quote
Jern92 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 palmerston nth toyworld. Strange, the Auckland stores never do that. But I just won a $25 gift card, so will see what I can get with it. Quote
sunhuntin Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 good luck. :) they are my nearest branch, and still 45 mins away. ive heard the paraparaumu and porirua stores have gone, and i think the rotorua one was on the way out. the only other one i tend to get to is fraser cove in tauranga, and thats not often, couple times a year and usually not when a new series comes out, so not sure if they number or not. Coopa182 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 palmerston nth toyworld. I've seen the Hamilton Toy World do this a few times too, not every pack, but maybe a box or two's worth. Quote
Robert8 Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 (edited) Apparently, these are being recalled Speculation says LEGO has legal issues with the Shark Suit Guy Source Edited March 1, 2016 by Robert8 Quote
CM4Sci Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Beat me to it! I really hope this isn't true. I just need to finish the series... and then I wouldn't mind. As long as I have my set. Quote
Robert8 Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 Can't believe this is happening with the Shark Suit Guy I mean, it looks nothing like the Superbowl costume And shark costumes are pretty common If anything, I'd expect this to happen with the S14 Fly Monster Quote
Blakstone Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 I had not noticed minifigs being pulled, but a lot of the normal places never got them. I know a guy in Dallas who called their local LEGO Store, but they were still selling this series. Quote
8BrickMario Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 A shark costume is not enough to call for legal action, so I expect dismissal pretty quickly. And in no way does it insult the Super Bowl performance, it's sort of a compliment for it to have made its mark on pop culture. Perhaps Taylor Swift won't be the only one to have "bad blood" with Katy Perry... Quote
BrickFit26 Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Oh man! I hope it's not a recall. i still don't have all of them. Quote
Actor Builder Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 No wonder my local Toys R Us never put out a second box... I wonder if they're radioactive. Quote
Sven F Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 (edited) Whatever the hell is left and right shark, I had to google it and it must be the dumbest thing ever, exceeding my worst expectations in the history of human trivia. I really hope this has nothing to do with LEGO Edit: although: http://www.cinemable...hark-69901.html Edited March 2, 2016 by Sven F Quote
Robert8 Posted March 2, 2016 Author Posted March 2, 2016 (edited) It can't be a legal issue with the Shark Suit Guy Edited March 2, 2016 by Robert8 Quote
BrickFit26 Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Checked 2 wal marts and they had nothing. Asked if they had them in & they brought out S14 Monsters & S2 Simpson's. Quote
Tech Artist Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 It can't be a legal issue with the Shark Suit Guy That makes complete sense. You can't trademark something like that. LONG LIVE SHARK SUIT GUY! Quote
Robert8 Posted March 2, 2016 Author Posted March 2, 2016 (edited) Blackstone pointed out that it could be legal issues with the Wrestling Champion, which I think it's an interesting point Other than that, I don't see the reason for a recall. A lot of you already got them and as far I can remember there are not major quality issues Anyway, I'll go tomorrow to get the ones I'm still missing, just in case Edited March 2, 2016 by Robert8 Quote
Actor Builder Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 It's probably some health issue, since licensing seems to be out. They must have used radium or something in the plastic. Quote
SpiderSpaceman Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 I heard someone got 2 heads once, but it wasn't missing any piece In this case he is missing the mask, so it sucks My worst thing was a yellow arm on the Shakespearean actor. Going to TRU in the morning to see if I can get all of em, and I'll just keep em handy until we get some clarity. Not gonna run around in a panic, but I intend to have these. I figured they'd linger for months. Didn't think we had to act fast to get figures since series 2. Quote
