Aggghhh. Tech Artist. Why must you tempt me. Damn it, now I want to have a complete series...

What you want is a complete set of Frightening Knights.. only 15 more to go..

And these are out of stock on S@H...again. I would like to be able to find these in store so I can complete the series, but no one has had them and I haven't felt like driving to TRU since it is about 45 minutes away. Oh well, I'm sure they will turn up in some of these other stores again eventually. I only have six left to get and then it's just down to buying extras of several of them.

But congrats to finally getting them all Tech Artist!

Why not just Bricklink the last 6? You will pay a bit more than retail but you'll save yourself time and effort. Brick Ideas and Grandma Bricks for the US are the best prices I can find. I did that for my Winged Warrior. Spent a total of $6 with shipping(Grandma Bricks).

Also I did notice an odd quality issue with the Winged Warrior on the bottom of the wings there is a white dot. Both wings have it but it is on different sides so it only shows one when the wings are on.

I think I might have to end up doing that. It will probably end up being easier in the long run I guess.

I didn't notice that dot on my Winged Warrior but now I'll have to look at it later to see if it's the same.

I've seen a lot of reports of quality issues as well.

A Shark Guy with 2 torsos and no mask

A Shark Guy with printing issues

A Faun with 2 flutes

A Farmer with 2 pitchforks

A Tribal Woman with no head

The Faun and Farmer described here don't sound like "issues" at all, unless the extra accessories were in place of other parts. They might also be trouble for some other buyer, though, if it means they got figures that were just flat-out missing parts because these two copies had extras.

The dot is just where the plastic was cut off in the mold.

While we don't know for sure, I assume this is the case

^^ Those mods of the knight and faun look great.

Have you tried the Cary Crossroads Target? I'm in Garner and they have a ton of Series 15 at White Oak Target.

Thanks for the tip. I finally found a few at TRU Crossroads and the Lego Store at Crabtree. I think that the Apex Target only got a few and they flew out the door. I have the six I was looking for and am in a much better mood now. But what a screwed up introduction to the market....again.

My favorite is still the ballerina. I finally found them at TRU when a case was opened as I arrived. Felt each one in the case, and found three that I could not identify...period. I was seeking a round tutu because that is the only kind of *&%##%&()_ tutu I have ever seen...but miracles of miracles, the tutu ain't round. It is an oblong thingy that is not smooth. Of course, I put all three of these back in the case and took my 2 shark men home. The next day I noticed an oblong tutu for sale all by its lonely self on eBay. So I rushed back over to our TRU, and found that someone had left one among the few remaining packets. Hallelujah! Could they make this any more difficult if they tried? If they are gonna produce a not round tutu, they ought to give us a very loud and long warning.

Took advantage of the 2 for $5 deal and bought 12 packets! I'm now only missing the animal control officer. Unfortunately, one of the employees at the TRU I go to snatches all of the control officers the moment the box gets there. :sceptic:

I went back to get more 2 for 5.

My Farmer has a weird scratchy misprint on the upper right side of his face. The Pig is cool though.

My ballerina has a weird smudge that is printed on the bottom right side of her face.

I looked at a TRU near where I work, to no avail. :cry_sad:

I mean, I already found all from this series that I really wanted, but a 2 for $5 deal is hard to pass up...

I bought most of the figures I wanted from Bricklink/eBay. I paid retail (more or less) for all of them and shipping for some of them. After multiple horrible customer service experiments at our local Target, I finally gave up on them. My favourite is the faun, and my daughter's favourite is the ballerina!

Is the TRU 2 for $5 at all TRU? I will drop by and pick some up if that is the case as that is a good deal. I didn't see anything about it on their site.

I think the deal might be at all Toys R Us.

A few weeks back, there was a full box at my Toys R Us and I picked a few good ones (like Left Shark), but going there yesterday was the my first time since the "great disappearance". Now, they only had three series 15 packs on a peg--and a full box of series 14 too (because nothing says Halloween like March). No signs or promotions or anything, but those three series 15 only cost me $9, as the 2 for 5 sale was applied without fanfare.

Just got myself my first of the series! Felt around looking specifically for Shark Guy, and got him on my first try!:thumbup: If you're looking for him, I recognised him by feeling the tail part. You can feel the shape of the tail's end very easily.

Also, head's up - If anyone else lives in Ireland, the "Art N Hobby" shops are doing a deal where you can get a LEGO Minifigures loyalty card, and you get a free minifig after you buy 5 figs.
