Nice review!

for 65 euro they could put a pilot and 4 shadowtroopers in it.

I don't want to buy it, but TLC could be more generous to the people who want to buy this set. It is almost certain this set will not sell that good as a Hothbase, a Imperial landingsship or a Jedi Starfighter with Hyperspace ring.

Great review! *y*

I really love this set, the most appealing aspect are the special stormtroopers. The noly problem is the price. $50 USD!? Thats highway robbery. But is is a great set. ;-)

Just finished building mine. I'm a bit behind, I know.

I like it, though it could have done with some "x2" instructions on the treads. Quite repetitive. Quite repetitive. Quite repetitive. ;-)

I like that there are two Shadow Troopers due to hwo rare they are. Oh hang on, they arn't now that one is in a very cheap set (Imperial Dropship).

Thread movement: makes sense. Come to a gap such as a ravine. Brake hard, momentum will drive treads over the cab and across the gap. Carry on. Clever, but actually very simple.

The box art shows "Includes 2 Exclusive Shadow trooper Figs" :-D And yet we can find them in a $10 set, making them not so exclusive X-D

I'm so happy TLC did that, since Shadow Troopers are my fav type of troopers *wub*

Shadies On!

I love this set *wub* , despite controversy among the members :-/ . The tie crawler really just looks cool to me. It is an awesome vehicle concept in my opinion and i like it.

I just wish I had more room for these bad boys... AT-AT's are nice, (under, under statement), but I think Crawlers blend in better with the Imperial Navy... I just wish the trends were not so parts/cost consuming...

TIE's are designed to be cheap *sing*

LEGO likes to use blue on their TIEs because those gray fuselages and wing frames you see in ANH? They were meant to be blue. That is how Ralph McQuarrie envisioned them, and that was how the models were originally colored. But they had to be changed to gray to avoid being turned transparent by the Chroma Key technology of the time. But they were still supposed to be blue. In fact, in ESB and more extensively in ROTJ post-filming tinting was done to make them blue. (Go dig out the tapes and watch, you'll see what I'm talking about.) The real question IMO is why it wasn't done to the ANH footage for the Special Edition, DVD, or Blu-Ray releases. In any case, since the LEGO sets are toys for playing with and not models to be filmed against a bluescreen, TLG did not have this limitation. Nor did other companies who made toy TIE Fighters.

Why do you keep bumping old threads? Just curious.

If you think you see another member breaking a rule, please use the 'Report' button instead of calling them out or correcting them in public. In this case, while perhaps there might've been a better choice of topic in which to post, ZeldaTheSwordsman did have something to add to the conversation. EB doesn't have any rule against 'bumping' in itself. See here for more guidelines regarding posting in older topics, especially the ones that pertain to reviews.
