Well, if the advent calendar bellhop is being an inspiration for thinking there might be a WV hotel, then it should also be noted that there is a grocer figure in advent calendar.  So maybe that signals a food market of sorts.

It’s just hard for me to trust that YouTuber’s info and other info (like it would be release din Sept 2022). I don’t try to spread the false info - I prefer to hear from other reliable people to support the actual release date - I really don’t want to fall for it myself. Let’s say - for example, some AFOLs (or should I say “children”, Professor Thaum?) fell for Mr. No’s false informaiton months ago.

That’s all I h to say. Okay, I say no more.

I appreciate that you don't want to get your hopes up and all that, but I would like to remind you that the subject of this discussion thread is Winter Village Rumors and Discussion.  I don't believe anyone here is trying to spread blatantly false information, but this is a discussion thread to discuss rumors, it's in the title.  And often rumors are not true.

I’m just curious - did City advent calendar and Winter Village get “connected” before?

I don’t remember advent calendars having speical minifigures for past Winter Village sets so I’m quite curious about this speculation.

City calendar character is Tippy Dorman from LEGO City adventures.

The grocer is Mr. Produce , also in set 60347: Grocery Store

I don't think it's linked to Winter Village in any way.

That’s what I think.  But that speculation is quite interesting.

Meh, it's just for fun.  Something to chat about.  I'd talk to my wife about it, but she just nods along and tells me to buy her more pirate legos.

Just in case you don’t know that - Snowman from CMF Series 23 is a costumed guy, not actual snowman, according to YouTuber’s review.

That makes sense.

Yeah. With two legs, it’s making more sense that it’s a costume.

I hope there woulda a domed piece for the “actual” snoman’s leg in the future. But I think we still can use it for Winter Villae line.

There is some precedence for snowmen with legs.

If not, then a slope or skirt in white could also work well.

That would work pretty good. I forgot about that slope / skirt piece, thanks for mentioning that!

I wonder if Lego will release a modified version of the 40489 Mr & Mrs Claus's Living Room GWP set which was canned last year? I think Lego withdrew it because it included Santa's Naughty List.

Has anyone tried to build a version of this GWP based on the photos?

Posted

Yeah, I was really looking forward to that GWP last year.  The Front Yard set was kinda underwhelming.  I do hope they repackage that set and bring it out this year, but not sure that the odds would be very good on that.

We have already seen the polar bears, Christmas tree, ornaments. LEGO is just really good at keeping things secret until about a month before release. So abouttwo more weeks until we might see the Winter Village.

Maybe we should have a Guessing Game thread for the Winter Village ?

I'm still thinking on a Library/bookstore

Forget all this release date talk/debate! Where's the rumors!?! I'm holding out for a town hall

Um, release date is part of rumor, lol. Plus, we haven’t talked about it for weeks…

The Guessing Game is a good idea!

For me, I am hoping for Clasuses’ North Pole house or the Christmas market.

I still think it's been far to long since they did a shop of some sort.  Candy Store, Book Shop, Winter Gear Shop.  Hopefully it will come with a vehicle, a delivery van would be cool.

A winter village police station would be nice to see, go with the fire station.

I don't think that's likely until the modular police station is retired.

I have no idea what LEGO is thinking with the new set. I'd love a meeting house, town hall but I don't think that's likely.

I still think/hope that this year's release will be some sort of retail building - as others have said, it's been too long since we had a shop/store to add to the village.  IMO, the most glaring omission is still a sweet shoppe, and a building of that nature could provide a nice alternative for those that missed the bakery way back at the beginning of the WV line.

My best guesses:

1) Sweet Shoppe

2) Hotel/Lodge

3) Grocery Store

4) Restaurant

5) Farm/Stables - perhaps for reindeer, or horses

6) Book Store

7) Ugly Sweater Store?

8) Town Hall

9) Police HQ of some type - perhaps part of town hall?

10) Blacksmith/Silversmith
