Honeslty, I am not suprised that no one wants Winer Village to be Modular Building collection. I mean… Sure I’m in a minority.

It’s pretty funny that we posted our wishes here and others (and me) say “it won’t happen”…

1.) Star Wars-themed Winer Village set

2.) Christmas-themed Modular Building set

3.) Winter chapel set

I'm guessing there's a language barrier here, but I never suggested a Star Wars-themed WV set.  I don't think anyone has suggested that.

I suggested a new Star Wars-themed holiday employee gift, which has already been done once before.

Ah, since you posted Star Wars here, i automatically assumed you were talking bout Star Wars-themed WB set here.

However, I sill don’t think it’s going to happen for holiday-themed Star Wars set tho. I understand that they do Star Wars advent calendar but not the holiday-themed set.

They did a small holiday themed SW set last year, 40658 Millennium Falcon™ Holiday Diorama.

Ah ok I overlooked that one then.

Nothing new or exciting but I just noticed there is a modular building add-on pack (via PaB) and there is a Winter Scene set. It seems basic but I think it’s perfect for Modular Building Collection. I am quite interested if they would continue doing that way for Modular building but I don’t set my hope higher.

Do you have a name/number/link? Can't seem to find it on the euro site, but it sounds neat!

I  was searching for some modular ideas for my city to add and I stumbled upon lego fan website. There are three add-ons and Winter Scene is one of them. Here is the link - you will see hyperlinked set that lead yu to PaB.

As I mentioend, nothing new - it looks like thoese add-ons were avaialbe since November 2023. I found out about it very recently.

The first advent calendars has leaked, and the city one has no less than four Christmas sweater torsos, and a dog (yellow lab?) with a printed Christmas sweater. Also comes with Mrs Claus.

ETA: Also a baby in a Christmas sweater.

Harry Potter also has a decent selection of food and minor decorations that could be put to good use. And a caroling ghost.

Yeah these sweaters are great! And that’s a brown lab, it seems. It’s very cute that a family wearing their sweaters.

They've also dropped the price of the City advent calendar to $33 (from $35), although they've dropped the piece count by 20%, so...

Also, these are a lot cheaper in Europe and the UK than the US. Perhaps because there are more advent calendars for greater competition?

I saw an ad for Lego Fortnite the other day (I've never played it) and was surprised at how many Christmas designs were included in the mix of skins. Some of them are a bit ghastly, but I guess it's within the realm of possibility that some figures could get a physical release -- in which case I'd really like to add that gingerbread warrior (the "Merry Marauder") to my Gingerbread House.

EDIT: I intended to upload a picture here, but I'm not sure how they work on this silly site. Maybe it'll pop in later.

You have to upload somewhere else (Flickr is one example, there are others) and then link it into your post. EB doesn't host photos.

Thanks! But also, that's far too much effort for me.

If anyone wants context for my previous comment, Google "Lego Merry Marauder."

I got your back, Jack!

That'd make an awesome fig for sure!

Also I'm excited for the City Advent calendar, my son loves xmas and we've never done an AC before so I think it'll be fun.

That's fun/amusing!  Definitely would be worth adding to the Gingerbread House if that figure ever came to be.

The advent calendars are a good time.  I've done the Star Wars calendar every year since they started, and I usually find a second or third calendar to do if I like the figures/pieces that you're going to get. The City calendar this year looks like an absolute winner with all those fun sweaters.  And with June approaching, it feels like it's time for the conjecture and speculation about this year's WV set to start ramping up!

Cue a repeat of pages 101 to 104 of the thread!

I already got to check off a couple of items on my previous wishlist -- the Alpine Lodge is pretty much what I imagined for a Holiday Inn, and the Winter Market Stall GWP is close enough to a remake of the Winter Village Market. (Well, not really, but I've bought the original market second-hand since then so I no longer have a burning desire for a remake.) That leaves a Christmas Tree Farm, a Winter Village Police Station, and a remake of the Winter Village Post Office as my three big speculations.

Previous sets (particularly Holiday Main Street) have also cultivated a "Christmas shopping" theme, but it's hard to buy anything in my village that isn't a toy or (recently) a musical instrument, which has left me thinking that a cosy antique shop could be quite a beautiful addition to the line. I'd very happily send my minifig shoppers through the door to peruse a wall of ornate clocks.

More shopping would be good, and antiques would be a great choice, but I'd prefer something else, myself.  My biggies would be an indoor eatery of some sort and some sort of concert venue.  There was/is the Ideas set (https://ideas.lego.com/projects/4022bce6-4206-4d38-a743-375de8e9032a) but I think that's too much to hope for.

Maybe Christmas in July is just an American thing (I have no idea if it is or not), but it would be a nice opportunity/excuse for Lego to give us a teaser of the new Winter Village set.  Even when Lego is at SDCC, I don't think we ever get any hints about the WV set.  They seem to keep the new WV set under tighter security than they do so many of their other sets.  I remember several years back they released a few super-close-up pictures of the new set (I think it was the WV Firehouse) a week or so before the release, and that provided a lot of fun conjecture.  I'd love to see them do something like that every July - surely the box art and promo shots are done by now, I would think.
