Actually, as I remember it's been on a wishlist of a lot of people even before last year, so I think the release of the Holiday Train just renewed and strengthened an old rumor/wish. Quote

Blazej_Holen Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 so it is actuall yTrain station, but not so big as we previously thought... It does have 902 pcs, and includes, "retro" taxi cab, 4x straight rails,, rail crossing and decent platform with building and tower. Its combination of mostly white, nougat and sand green colour scheme, taxi is yellow and white. I do like it and look forward to it :) Quote
Jay66 Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 (edited) Originally posted in wrong place. Not sure about the style. I think I like my Village more Alpine and less Rockies. Will still buy it though and maybe alter it to fit. I like the rail crossing - solves the obvious problem with the train track running round half the village. I might make the tower into a village clock tower. Edited August 22, 2017 by Jay66 Quote
Brick Dangerous Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 Hm, not too thrilled about this one. It seems a little ... smallish? Quote
Legocity2713 Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 I like it but... I feel like there isn't enough bang for your bulk. Also how did they manage to use 902 pieces? I feel like the taxi uses more pieces than the station. Quote
aakos12 Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 I like the bus, maybe it could be 2 studs longer, I think that's why most of the people think it's a taxi (and because of its colour), even though it's written bus on it The building seems a liitle too plain, I miss the chimney and somehow its style doesn't seem to fit the rest of the line. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the release of the official pictures from other angles. Quote
AFOLinNC Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 Building seems lacking, but hoping it's better once we see official images. That bus, though...! ? Quote
finishlast Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 (edited) On the "Facebook lego winter village" page is the front and back cover. I don't think it really fits the time line of the other smaller sets. Will get it though. Edited August 22, 2017 by finishlast Quote
Fuppylodders Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 If it is 65 euros for that, it's definitely worth getting. It also doesn't look too bad really. Quote
Brickviller V2 Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 It indeed seems kinda small, the interior seems not really special but the crossing and bus seem nice. Not really on my wanted list though. Quote
LEGOFANNER Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 (edited) 10259 Winter Village Station officially revealed! More images and the designer video are in the 10259 Winter Village Station topic! Edited August 22, 2017 by LEGOFANNER Quote
Jay66 Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 Why is it so much more expensive in the UK than in USA or Europe? Quote
AFOLinNC Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 I'm sure everyone's seen the Designer video already, but in case you haven't... Quote
Rick Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 There's a separate discussion thread for the Winter Village Station. Quote
Tavis75 Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 I read a rumour on Facebook that the Winter Village Train was being re-released to tie in with the release of the station, is there any truth to that? It sort of makes sense and seems to be backed up by the train being featured on the box for the station along with its set number, would seem strange to push a set that wasn't available. Although I see the train is still available on Amazon for around £80 which doesn't sound like a ridiculous price, how much was it originally? Quote
jdubbs Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 The train is still available at the LEGO Store, as is the re-released Winter Village Toy Shop from two years ago. Quote

I can't even find the train as a current/retired product on the gb website... Yet it's still for sale on the US website... Quote
