Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I think that ne Christmas Tree set is such lovely and more festive than the 2019 one.it does have old-fashioned vibe.

I think I will buy it!

I wonder when we will see images of the next Winter Village set.

I love the ornaments this year. They don't rely on any stickers this year. I might even get two, I really like it.

I will be picking up the Christmas Tree for sure, but as to whether I use it for a home decoration, or use it in my village, remains to be seen.

This year's City advent calendar has a nice bellhop minifig in it which got me thinking... I doubt it will be exclusive to this set, so maybe we could see a version of it in the next WV set? Perhaps a smaller hotel, an Inn or something like that.

That would be cool, though I think of bed and breakfast more in a village then a hotel that employs a bellhop.

Oh definitely.  An inn would also be appropriate for a village.  Like in Newhart.

Not even a rumour or even much idle speculation …. Although I had heard it was coming out earlier this year and was being released first week of September - so we might get a hint soon ??

I saw a video from a pretty reliable youtuber, and he indicated October 3rd.  The video was from Wednesday or Thursday.  He doesn't really get into speculation.  I was bummed when I saw that as well.  That said, it might still release in Europe on the 1st, they have been staggering big releases to minimize issues I think.  So... we might still find out what it is soon.  Maybe.  PLEASE LEGO!!!!

I just repeat what the Youtube LEGO people say. He thinks it might get a VIP release on Oct 1st. It gives LEGO an extra month to increase the price to $120USD.

Ok? It kinda sounds sketchy to me. I would like to hear ANOTHER reliable people to back that YouTuber. 

I do remember Santa’s Visit’s early VIP order was In SEPTEMBER last year. Did I stutter? I don’t think so.

It was early access on September 17. General release October 1.

I really don’t care if you like either. YouTuber’s claim still doesn’t convince me until I hear more and more about it - more reliable people would do better. 

Lol. Santa’s Visist did come up for early access on SEPTEMBER 17th and then it was released on October 1st generally. I didn’t invent it, get it memroized? 

Now, I don’t know what’s up with your attitude  but I’m going to leave you to talk to a brick wall…again.

I think we are all just presenting the information that has been presented to us to try to be helpful.  I mean, it's not up to us, our opinion does not matter in terms of when things will come out, but I always felt like this was a space where we could talk about our shared love of WV safely.  I certainly meant no disrespect nor was attempting to spread false information when I passed along what I had seen on Youtube.  This rancor over such a trivial subject is baffling to me and does not represent the experience I have had on here over the last 4 years.

It’s just hard for me to trust that YouTuber’s info and other info (like it would be release din Sept 2022). I don’t try to spread the false info - I prefer to hear from other reliable people to support the actual release date - I really don’t want to fall for it myself. Let’s say - for example, some AFOLs (or should I say “children”, Professor Thaum?) fell for Mr. No’s false informaiton months ago. 

 That’s all I h to say. Okay, I say no more.

Has the WV set ever received a general release prior to October 1st, or right around there?  If it has, it must have been very early in the run.  All I can ever recall is the set releasing around October 1st, and if we're fortunate we get an early VIP release.  I for one will be very surprised (happily so) if we see a general release on September 1st - even if it's just in Europe.

Not a general release according to Brickset, which shows data between October 1st and October 4th. Mostly a VIP-early release mid September.

Thanks for doing the research.  Without having looked at the data myself, my general impression was exactly what you found.  I've been a big fan of this line from the beginning (really, it's my favorite line that Lego does these days), I'm always full of anticipation for the new set, and always disappointed that we have to wait until (almost) October for the new set.  

5 - 7 years ago, I feel like we would learn what the new set was going to be in mid-late August.  However, as the years have gone on, the reveal has become later and later - first it was early-September, and now it's almost mid-September before we see the new set.  And Lego has tended to do a better job of keeping the leaks under wraps in recent years, making the wait for the reveal seem even longer.  I'll be happily surprised if the set gets revealed in August and we can buy it in September (any of us), but I'm not holding my breath.

On my birthday!? That would be lovely :) Late though but still lovely :)

No rumour or anything to speculate on at this date :O wow! TLG certainly did the job fighting against leaks. Even though logistics issues might happen again as it did with the new HP Hogwarts train a few days ago...

I join the crowd here to say I'll be pleased with an inn or a small hotel, including the new bellhop minifig (damn, I'll have to buy that calendar now...). Of course I'll add the new X-mas related minifigs from the 23rd series. It's nice they haven't yet switched to the new packaging for this series which will allow us to buy only the ones we want and not the whole series.

The stable idea would also be a nice addition to the WV ! Definitely don't want another fantasy set...
