*fart* Hi, Otto. Nothing has happened for a while... :-/

The crew make their way back into the galley accompanied by the Skipper and Diver Dan. A distrusting crew begin feeling the waves of a rather rough sea :-X . Pete comments, "looks like we may be in for a bit of a storm, Captain - and I don't like the feel of this." The Captain adds, "based on what I've seen in these waters, the storm is probably a day away if it does hit us. I hope this isn't a bad one though".

Otto says that he will cook up something very special for the crew. He begins cursing at the limited supplies as the sounds of pots and pans begin clanking in the kitchen.

Pete comments to the captain, "I'm glad I was able to talk you out of entering just any code on the cargo container lock. Unless any of you have a really good guess, pressing the wrong code may result in rendering the container unopenable until we are back in port. Seems I may have seen one of these locks before. Usually they will accept three tries before they become inoperable".

"Where would you like to continue our investigation Captain", Pete asks.

Tackle box! Tackle box!

Then Stinky's locker and then Diver Dan should answer my questions about his name and if the name Stillman means anything to him...

Then I want to talk to Geno about what he saw on the Minnow...

then I want a drink! *sweet*

Hmm, I asked for the paper you found on the body, yet, even though I gave you the knives box, you don't let me look at it?

Ich make something special for you Herrren...

Ich will use my special fish book that Ich wrote myself and use only for special occasions.

Sorry, I thought I did. Here's the paper...

Thank you, I'll take a look at it in a bit though, maybe after dinner. How long will it be till then, chef?

Are you kidding me? We're stuck on a ship in the middle of the ocean and there's a thick fog, a storm coming and a scary monster lurking in the dark corners of the ship. What else could you have to do before dinner that you can't look at a piece of paper right now?

And can we unlock the tackle box, please? And Dan, tell me about your brother's name please, and does the name Stillman mean anything to you?

"Uh... yeh... woo... hey yeh... huh... hoo yeh... uh huh... yeah...

I want to dance...

Clocks strikes upon the hour,

And the sun begins to fade.

Still enough time to figure out,

How to chase my blues away.

I've done alright up 'til now,

It's the light of day that shows me how,

And when the night falls, loneliness calls.

Oh! I wanna dance with somebody.

I wanna feel the heat with somebody.

Yeah! I wanna dance with somebody,

With somebody who loves me. "

And can we unlock the tackle box, please? And Dan, tell me about your brother's name please, and does the name Stillman mean anything to you?

... Stillman is my last name... did Skipper tell you that? 8-|

And yeah, I unlock the box.

*Pulls a key from his pocket and unlocks the case*

There you go. As you can see, these two knives are top of the line. *wub* Be careful, they're sharp.

Stinky, our friend was killed on this boat and his last name was stillman! :'-(

I'll take a look at it. Do you want it back? It really isn't anything if it's just numbers that aren't relevant to the lock.

Dan, does have some very cool knives, very helpful in the sea.

Your brother was on this ship? Though, it could be somebody that has your last name, but isn't neccesarily a relative. But if it is, :-( .

I really don't understand your concern there Pete; if it is dangerous, locking it in is a good thing, if it is not dangerous, why should we care. Are you sure you don't have a personal stake in all of this; you seem to show more concern for this container than us, and certainly more than the security guy. :-/ Personally I want seal the lock and ditch the container. Every year around 2,000 to 10,000 containers are lost due to bad handling and/or weather. Let's make this mysterious box just another statistic! :-D

then I want a drink! *sweet*

Here Capt'n. Only a quarter full this time though. :-$

Whoa! Is there any way that he could ID him? Perhaps going though his locker could help...

What a revoltin' development.

*Looks down at his plate of fish, freshly prepared by Otto.*

Aaahh! My food is staring at me!

Whoa! Is there any way that he could ID him? Perhaps going though his locker could help...

Better yet, I have his employment file. Here, Dan, take a look at this. This is everything I knew about Stinky. Was he your brother?

*hands Dan Stinky's employment file*

Gopher, can I borrow your boots? I'm drunk and I really want to kick someone. I promise not to kick you... :'-) please!

Oh.... welll.... OK Capt'n. 8-|

Thanks!

*puts steel toed boots on and kicks Scottie in the butt*

Ha! That's hilarious! Thanks Gopher. Sorry I lied to you. It was worth it, though :'-)

Hmmmm. 8-| Can I have my boots back now Capt'n? While I do have a spare on board I have spent several years breaking those in.

Where shall we go next Captain?

Yup, it looks like my brother, and everything else matches up... but there's no way to know for sure. There is no way to know *sniff* if it's really ... :'-( :'-( :'-(

I think I need to go for a swim or something.

Just go get some fresh air. It'll do you some good. If you want me to come, just ask.

:-( .

Here are your boots, Scotty.

Columbo, I think we should check out the crew quarters. I would like to know about the blood incident with Geno earlier and I'd like to see if we can't find Stinky's locker, chest or dufflebad, whatever he had on board.

We're in this together, though. What do you think?

Here are your boots, Scotty.

Thanks Capt'n. It will take me a long time until I trust you again the same though. :'-(

I second that. I think talking to Geno and seaching all of Stinky's stuff would be a good idea.

I don't blame you there! :-D I gave you a good kick! Sorry :-$

You make your way to the crew cabin areas to discover two bunk-type rooms rather small, with not many personal belongings. Each cabin contains two sets of bunks. The only thing of interest is a locker area that has numbers to correspond with each bunk. Stillman's bunk and locker is #8.

You immediately cut the lock to locker #8, discovering personal belongings that smell of old fish.

Within the locker are the following items:

- A large tackle box that contains different kinds of bait

- Two heavy duty fishing poles

- A set of pajamas that have little fish on them

- An extra pair of overalls and boots

- Three white t-shirts and shorts

- A letter from Dan Stillman dated July 5, 2007. The letter is addressed to Port Heceta, attention Steve Stillman.

It reads:

Dear Steve:

My business has not been doing very well. We've been along the Oregon and Washington coast for most of the year. The weather is often times rainy and foggy, but we have discovered a number of shipwrecks. I've been working with a partner who owns a small fishing boat; but unfortunately, the items that we've brought up have not been valuable in nature - mostly just historic. I wish I could see you. It's been a long time. We're going to be taking a new job. It should pay well.

PS. I don't know your new address, so I hope this letter may find you. Are you still fishing? Please let me know what you're up to these days.

Take care,

Your brother,

Dan

"I wasn't there that morning

When my brother Stinky passed away

I didn't get to tell him

All the things I had to say

I think I caught his spirit later that same year

I'm sure I heard his echo in my baby's new born tears

I just wish I could have told him in the living years

Say it loud, say it clear

You can listen as well as you hear

It's too late when we die

To admit we don't see eye to eye"

:'-(

Stinky 2, do you recognize anyone else on this ship?
