Rmhmthai Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Does anyone know the name or number of this set? Despite my endless google searches I have not come up with anything that looks remotely like it?? Help! Quote
deraven Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 What makes you think it's a set vs it just being an old MOC? I'm no expert on the really old vintage sets, but I've never seen anything that basic as far as overall design from that era and it doesn't strike me as an official model. Quote
Rmhmthai Posted August 13, 2015 Author Posted August 13, 2015 I have two the same a red one and a blue one, it came along with other sets like the red double decker (313) but you could be right. Quote
alois Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Sets usually don't have screws screwed through rims. Quote
deraven Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Sets usually don't have screws screwed through rims. I have to admit that was one of my first thoughts as well. Here's wheel part and you can find a button at the bottom that will show you all the (known) sets that use it: http://rebrickable.com/parts/35 ... and those proto-minifigs appeared in 1976 (maybe e '75?) and here's an example of a train using those wheels that came out in that year: http://brickset.com/sets/396-1/Thatcher-Perkins-Locomotive Which is why I'm saying I'm pretty sure what you have there are 2 matching MOCs and not an official model. Still, pretty neat to see into someone's imagination from back then. Quote
Rmhmthai Posted August 13, 2015 Author Posted August 13, 2015 Really interesting, Thanks for your help. Quote
