Hulk_Smash Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 As a massive Whovian I can say with certainty that blonde won't work, the pice they use in dimensions is perfect for 3 (and sadly not available) Quote
Amset-Rah Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 That sucks. Pertwee was the first Doctor I ever watched on PBS back when they used to air classic episodes and I wanted to do a Lego version of him. Like I said with the 7th, hopefully they'll release some of the older Doctors like they did Smith in the Ideas set (Who is a great minifig, just got him off Bricklink in the mail today) Quote
comix Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Sorry about that, guys. I saw last night that my links weren't working, but I passed out before I could fix them. I've gone back and changed all of the links in my previous posts, so they should be working for everyone now. But. just to save some time from having to go back and look, here are the Charlie and Space Kook images I was trying to share last night. Again, Charlie's going to have a different helmet and purple hips, but it gets the idea across. But Space Kook is finished. Charlie: http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r491/comixlegos/12498562_1029247820432119_1072100772_n_zpsgqzsoasp.jpg Improved Space Kook: http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r491/comixlegos/12476489_1029250067098561_1935334510_n_zpswtso4s6a.jpg Old Space Kook: http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r491/comixlegos/12442977_1026044177419150_1624812169_n_zps65kn7gzq.jpg It's hard to tell in photos, but I actually changed more than just the helmet on Space Kook. I made his entire body dark azure instead of the darker blue it was originally. It's easier to tell the difference by looking at Charlie. He has New Space Kook's azure arms and Old Space Kook's blue hands. Besides the fact that his new helmet didn't match his old body, I just felt the dark azure matched better with the pictures I was seeing from the cartoon. Quote
mmcclelland Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I've been thinking of the CMF Judge, Doc Brown's hair and maybe a cape for Pertwee's Doctor, not sure what face I'd use though. Quote
Amset-Rah Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I might have to get two Docs then along with the Judge. The Nova officer from one of the Guardians of the Galaxy sets could work well for a head. Quote

Comix, I was looking through my bricks last night in an attempt to find one of my flesh smiley faces, and I found a helmet that seems to me would be nearly a perfect match for what Charlie wears, or at least, based on this image of him: https://www.google.com/search?q=charlie+scooby+doo&safe=strict&client=ms-android-att-us&prmd=ivsn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiUz-iSvJvKAhXMOxQKHSPVDbsQ_AUIBygB#imgrc=J1BXzH_6EFceMM%3A This helmet http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=93560&idColor=7#T=S&C=7&O={"color":"7"}, seems like it could work for Charlie in either blue or dark blue. Using that helmet in it's brighter form, I've actually assembled a Charlie W.I.P. that has everything save for the hands, as I don't have any blue ones. Because I have to wait until I get my hands on blue hands until he'll be complete, I think this video accurately describes how I'm feeling right about now: http://www.infinitel...tlu1xY&p=n#/0;4 EDIT: I capped the video off at a certain part. My apologies for uploading so late, the crappy photo quality, and how squished it is. Cropping the photo was the only way I could decrease the amount of data there was so that I could get it down to below 100 KB for uploading. :( Edited January 14, 2016 by TheBigRedCheese Quote
AyliffeMakit Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 As something a bit different, here's Saitama from One Punch Man! Quote
Amset-Rah Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 (edited) Awesome Saitama! I too was wondering if I had the part for a proper One Punch Man, at least for a funny involving him and Superman, but I was curious about parts, mainly his head. I found that the CMF 5 Boxer torso works a bit better for his midsection though. Gives it a bit of deco that's appropriate. Edited January 19, 2016 by Amset-Rah Quote
JaseTJ Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 I realize this is probably aimed less at Superheroes as we have a thread just for those, but I figured I'd post it here as well, in case any of you are fans of Arrow. Arsenal I've had for a while, Green Arrow is just tweaked slightly from Lego's version, and my personal favorite: Malcom Merlyn. Quote
Sir Gareth Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) Nice Donna, but could use an angrier face :) It seems to me that every Lego fan and their mother has attempted to make the Tenth Doctor, but I've seen comparatively few Donnas. *Shrug* Don't ask me why. Everyone goes for the Malfoy smirk for Ten, but I like the face you chose. Which one is it? As for Donna, is that the Clara face?! It looks amazing! :D If so, +1 for using Doctor Who Lego to make more Doctor Who Lego!! Like Hulk_Smash said, she might need and angrier face . . . - Sorry to say, but the whole "BITE ME ALIEN BOY!" attitude is not conveyed 100% by the face you have right now. Thanks, Hulk_Smash and TheBigRedCheese! The Tenth Doctor's head is Fred's from Scooby-Doo: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=3626cpb1371#T=C Donna's head is indeed Clara's, but as per both or your advice, I swapped it with this slightly sterner one: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=3626bpb0482&idColor=90#T=C&C=90 Edited January 25, 2016 by Sir Gareth Quote
comix Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 (edited) I've had these for a couple of weeks, but I'm just now getting around to putting them up. Charlie is finally finished and I found a nearly ready made figure for a monster that only needed one small tweak. Charlie: https://www.flickr.c...eposted-public/ The other monster I have is the Ape Man from the original series. http://scoobydoo.wik...om/wiki/Ape_Man I just used the Gorilla Suit Guy and popped a Stormtrooper head on underneath his mask. I really liked the added effect of the zipper. It reminded me of the buttons on the back of the Zombie's mask from the Mystery Machine set. https://www.flickr.c...eposted-public/ https://www.flickr.c...eposted-public/ https://www.flickr.c...eposted-public/ http://alpha.brickli...62#T=S&O={} http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=3626cpb0817&idColor=90#T=S&C=90&O={"color":90} Edited February 1, 2016 by comix Quote

Keep up the great work! Also, Flickr is a great place for hosting your customs, if you name them and write a little bit about it, people will eat them up. I started following your account there. In any case, keep up the great work! :D Quote
