Posted September 16, 200717 yr This vignette is entitled "Last Stand". The brave warrior held the line valiantly against the marauding skeleton hordes, and even managed to kill one with his trusty sword, but with his comrades all dead, all seems lost and he now faces death himself as he tries to fend off attack with an axe. September 16, 200717 yr Wow! This is excellent for your first vig! Very well done, and very nice picturees, by the way! *sweet*
September 16, 200717 yr Author Wow! This is excellent for your first vig! Very well done, and very nice picturees, by the way! *sweet* Phew! Thanks! I was pleased with the ones I took against the skyline - looks quite...dramatic. Wasn't sure on the detail levels in the scene itself though, didn't know if it was too crowded, not enough scenery...thought I'd give it a go though! Dr. S.

I know what you mean about it being too crowded, but I don't think so. A little landscaping and a 'dead skeleton' never hurts! ;-)
September 16, 200717 yr Very good Dr Sinister, especially for your first vignette! I think you captured the scene very well. Good job, and keep it up! Tiber....(does that sound better??)
September 16, 200717 yr Very nice, especially the first worms-eye-view shot. It looks like the sort of shot you might see in an action film, or maybe a comic book. Keep up the good work.
September 16, 200717 yr that first image is one of the coolest LEGO shots EVER !!! and it didn't even require any photo editing !!! - BM
September 16, 200717 yr Whoah, That looks very cool. The first picture is really amazing, really cool scenery *y* Skellies On ! *skull*
September 16, 200717 yr I love your vignette! *wub* The skyline photo does indeed seem dramatic. I think you should replace the Skellie's sword with the dark bley cleaver thing that they usually use, and give the nice shiny broadsword to the knight. :-) Tiber....(does that sound better??) Nope... MISTER Tiber is best. :-P
September 16, 200717 yr Author I love your vignette! *wub* The skyline photo does indeed seem dramatic. I think you should replace the Skellie's sword with the dark bley cleaver thing that they usually use, and give the nice shiny broadsword to the knight. :-) Ah, well, I had a bit of a backstory to this. I nearly gave him a scythe thingy - but the Skellie has stolen that sword from a Knight he killed earlier - you'll notice that there are other weapons scattered around the battlefield, I wanted to give the impression that this has been a hellish, pitched battle - if I could have found a way to put some flames in there, I would have. :-D Also, the guy on the ground is just a regular soldier, all the Knights have been wiped out, he's just got what's to hand. (OK, I also wanted something shiny that would catch the sunlight a little bit and I think the addition of a silver sword to the Skellie makes him look more...magical...somehow) Dr. S.
September 16, 200717 yr That brilliant Doctor Sinister! I will agree with the general concensus when I say that the first pic is the best! *sweet* I am very glad that you didn't cop out by making a happy ending, instead you really made us feel for the poor fella :'-( ....... Great Vignette! Batbrick Away! >:-)
September 17, 200717 yr Wow! This is awesome! Vigs don't have to be super-detailed to be amazing! Great photography, very clear pics. Nice, but sad scene, lets hope you do make a sequel with the skellie on the horse getting pwnt! :-P I've made a couple of vigs myself, and am working on a third, but until I find that darn camera... it was a new one too.. all fancy... :'-(
September 17, 200717 yr Wow! Those sky shots say one thing to me ... LEGO: Castle ~ The Video Game Relive your greatest adventures battling evil hordes of undead. Will they be driven from the land, or will you end up one of them? Incredible job! *y*
September 17, 200717 yr I think the ground could use a bit for landscaping, but I think that first picture is great. Steve
September 17, 200717 yr Author Wow, thanks for all the positive feedback. I'm glad my skyline shots went down so well. Of course, this means only one thing...my next one won't be as good! :'-( Dr. S.
