LEGODalekbuster523 Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 I really wish they'd produce a Fantastic Four set based on the comics. Who wouldn't buy a 500 piece Baxter Building set with Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben minifigures? Quote
Winter Soldier Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 They should make a minifig serie for Marvel Super Heroes characters. First serie for X-Men. Second serie for Avengers. Third serie the whole MCU. Quote
ultron32 Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 I agree - although I wouldn't divide it that way, it would end with lots of characters not getting made. I would just make a Marvel line, each wave could have some of each and it could run for as long as they kept the license. There is a virtually unending stream of characters and variant costumes out of the MCU and the original comics. Quote

gamejutzu Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 (edited) Every single Marvel minifigure made (with the exception of minifigs that were made prior to) after the Lego Marvel Superheroes video game, was just BAD. In my opinion. I don't know if they were trying to be faithful to the original appearance, or what. Compare any of the minifigs made post-LMS, and the in-game version is better. I will list just a few examples: Storm. I felt like they were lazy on this one. The design resembles the original version. BUT they tried to make it look... I don't know... Real. And the "cape" design was also pretty lazy. They just could have made a new cape mold that is one piece, and attaches to the hand, like the game (kind of). Whatever they did to her, the video game variant is much better and why they didn't make one is beyond me. Cyclops. The costume looks like it doesn't have enough thought put into it. Lego has made another version in their game, with an extremely similar one, but they made their own, and it looks quite bad. All it is a generic muscle torso with a printed belt, yellow hip and blue legs. The game version has some nice yellow lines going down the torso, hip and legs, a more visually pleasing yellow belt, two yellow boot lines and a better looking silver visor. I have no idea why they didn't use this version, it would have been perfect. The Green Goblin. This one is straight up visually displeasing, especially when it's compared to the game version. Go look up pictures yourself, I don't need to explain this one. Lego is making an official Green Goblin minifigure? Good. It will probably be lackluster, but at least it will be better than what Juniors has going on. Sandman. His minifig isn't bad, but that's him in sandy mode. They should have given out two torsos, one with full shirt and one without. With that, stop motioners can only depict fights, not sandman plotting in a chair. And the list probably continues. My wishlist are these fixed minifigs. Why can't they just design every minifig the make that was in the game from now on, like how it was there, it's not hard... Movie versions are accurate to the films, so they're automatically good. Yes, I know that not ALL minifigs here are bad. But MAN these ones... The sad thing is, DC doesn't have this problem... At all. Some minifigs could look better, but they're never terrible. I don't know why... Edited October 24, 2015 by gamejutzu Quote

The ones in the games aren't designed with printing in mind, I'd imagine there's all kinds of issues in trying to just transfer the designs to their printing system. Plus, I mean, if they just used the ones from the games I'd imagine they'd have to pay TT for the designs. Seems kind of a waste when they've got tons of illustrators on the team who are already being paid to make minifigures. Quote

N_Cat Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 My biggest wish at this point is the Mark I Iron Man suit. It's just so iconic, and it's been in virtually every version of Iron Man, from the comics, to the MCU, to EMH, to the Ultimates, to AA, I mean basically everything has used it. Quote

Seems kind of a waste when they've got tons of illustrators on the team who are already being paid to make minifigures. Unless you have inside information on the ins and outs of TT's licensing / contract -- I would have to disagree with this point. The characters and any of their depictions are owned by MARVEL (Disney). Even if TT was solely responsible for character design (again a separate but another point I would highly contest) -- but for argument's sake -- if they were to create some unique kick-but design of a MARVEL character, they don't own that design (nor does LEGO). In other words, if it appears in the video game, LEGO would be able to use it, after all it's their video game. Again, I am also simply speculating, but if I were in charge of LEGO video games, the first thing I would insist upon with any developer is the clear understanding that any content created in the game is mine to use however I wish (obviously with respective revenue sharing to the IP holder, MARVEL / Disney). Now could TT have struck an agreement to get a slice of any merchandising derived from the game? I guess it could be possible -- but who in their right mind from LEGO would ever agree with this? There is literally an ocean of developers out there, what does TT have as leverage to force LEGO / MARVEL / Disney's hand? Nothing. My biggest wish at this point is the Mark I Iron Man suit. benderisgreat Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 (edited) My dream Marvel Lego set would be one with Hobgoblin. 20-30$ set called Goblin duel. Set includes Green Goblin with glider and pumpkin bombs, Hobgoblin with glider and pumpkin bombs and Spider-Man. The main build of the set is water tower that is Hobgoblins hideout which can be opened. Inside the tower are some pumpkin bombs and mannequin with Hobgoblin cape and hood on it. The tower is roughly 150-200 pieces. The main play feature of the set is stud shooter hidden in the tower that shoots Spider-Man and Green Goblin. Edited October 25, 2015 by benderisgreat Quote

Like I said, it's made appearances in dozens of media. It's a unique look, and it symbolizes Tony Stark's ingenuity and his change of heart. Quote
kevkipo Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 (edited) Well what i'd love to see for the 4th Civil War set is the following, I have always loved compatible sets, so no one time build and then onto another vehicle or location. For example Harry Potter: (While i don't own a single set, it's a good comparison) you had the change to expand the set you already had, if you already bought the Hogwarts castle you could buy these to expand it: And this as well: Then you had the change to expand the set, and have more figures to display in the set. Now i hope Lego does this with the biggest Civil War set, the Airport battle will no doubt be a battle you will never forget, so why not make two sets out of it? The biggest set contains (Ant-Man and Giant-Man confirmed the rest is just speculation): Ant-Man, Giant-Man, Scarlet Witch, Cap, Iron Man, War Machine (I still believe we'll see him, since he seems pretty big next to Tony) And then the fourth set will be around a 30$ / 40$ set, and off course it does contain a spoiler so why not: Hawkeye, Spidey (Those are the new figs) and then Cap, Vision, and Bucky to even it out! that way we can save molds (You don't need any new molds for these guys) and still have everyone we want and a round off team! Smallest set: Black Widow, Falcon, Crossbones, Cap Middle set: Black Panther, Cap, Bucky, Agent 13 (Yeah, she's confirmed by Just2Good ) Biggest set: Ant-man, Giant-man, Cap, Iron Man, War Machine, Scarlet Witch Fourth set: Bucky, Vision, Cap, Hawkeye and Spidey! That rounds off both teams! so why not? Edited December 12, 2015 by kevkipo Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 That is a very good idea! The airport could feature a plane, vehicle, and maybe a tower or such, then, the fourth set could feature the minfigures and a small section of the building to complete the scene! Excellent idea. On a side note, the first Harry Potter year is a very good example. Almost every single set added together to make a large Hogwarts castle full of various rooms, such as classrooms, dorms, and offices, plus gardens, mess halls, etc. Quote
Khscarymovie4 Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Love the idea! Except I would trade Spidey with Baron Zemo. Zemo is the main villain of Civil War and Lego will most likely make Spiderman sets for the new reboot a year later. Quote

Bricky Dee Williams Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Maybe change Vision with Zemo? he's not all new or something so he can be changed. I doubt we'd see any character but a variation of Cap, or second to him Falcon or Iron Man, for a poly. So the one character I'd expect the least is indeed Vision. With him in the Quinjet, people will still buy it. And the only imperfection, in my opinion, is the stone. That must be changed eventually. Quote
Ultron Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 We don't need zemo unless it's comic form. He's not even going to look like him in the movie, so he'll probably be really lame as a minifig. Don't get your hopes up. I'd gladly take a new spiderman and fixed Vision over him any day Quote
