Battlinpanther Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 I mean, yondu shoots an arrow. Not exactly gonna translate well to lego. 100% rather have Mantis than Yondu. Male heroes are a dime a dozen when it comes to Lego. Luckily I'm sure we'll get both. Same. Mantis is the bigger draw for me. I wonder what ship designs we'll get. I'm hoping we get an arena set for Ragnarok. Quote
BS2015 Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Same. Mantis is the bigger draw for me. I wonder what ship designs we'll get. I'm hoping we get an arena set for Ragnarok. I wonder if we are gonna be able to get at least one good set for each of the 3 movies next year and years after Quote
Quicksilver Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Tomorrow will be the one year anniversary of this thread! I think it started because the Civil War sets were confirmed. Maybe this means Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 sets will be confirmed soon. I believe Lego Civil War was confirmed at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, and that event is coming up on June 21st this year. So we should get out first tidbit of information regarding the 2017 sets in a few days. Quote
ToaDraco Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 I seriously doubt we'll get anything for Ragnarok considering we never got anything for the past 2 Thor movies which is a shame. Guardians 2 is all but certain though. I definitely look forward to that. Quote
benderisgreat Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Spider-Man Homecoming will definitely get 2 or 3 sets, Thor Ragnarok might go Dr Strange route and get 1 medium sized set. Guardians 2 sets are a sure thing! Hopefully we'll get more than 3 sets original movie had. Quote
legosamsonite Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 I feel we will get one ragnorok set because hulk sells :) Plus unless he comes in a comic set next year it will be first set with hulk since aou sets Quote

With the "Planet Hulk" rumors surrounding Hulk's involvement, a gladiator-armored Hulk would probably be the variation we'd see in any Ragnarok set! Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Also unsure if anyone who has the Bridge has commented about this, but one feature includes one of those pieces that minifigures stand on (in the similar fashion of super jumpers, don't know the piece but I believe it's used in a TMNT catapult, I think??) and a function to push someone on this piece of the side of the Bridge WHY LEGO?!? YOU GAVE US A FREAKING GWEN STACY LAUNCHER, BUT NO GWEN STACY I'm calling it right here: SDCC Gwen Stacy fig. Only the few may fully enjoy the DIY Gwen Stacy Murder Machine. So it is written. Quote

Tom Jurassic Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 I know it's unlikely considering we got a set rather recently with Ghost Rider, but I'd love this Agents of SHIELD inspired set: Ghost Rider Hive Showdown 1x Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes) minifigure with flame chain and alternate Robbie Reyes minifigure head/hair. 1x Quake minifigure 1x Hive Minifigure (Special piece used for the face) with some kind of accesory to replicate his abilities. 1x Muscle Car with exposed engine from hood, opening doors, removable roof and flame details, as well as 'Exploding function' where the hood comes off to reveal more flames. 1x Brick Wall with 'Exploding' function 'Hive is on the streets of Los Angeles! Join Ghost Rider and Quake and use the flaming charger to head Hive off before he can cause trouble!' S.H.I.E.L.D Tactical Unit 1x Baron Zemo with Sword and Blaster. 3x SHIELD Agents in Black and White Jumpsuits (Same style as existing minifigure, but with Black jumpsuits instead of blue) with 2 in Helmets and 1 with a hairpiece. All with blasters. 1x HYDRA Motorbike (For Baron Zemo), 1x SHIELD Turret Quote
liortenz Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 I would love to see more X men... as well as way more female heroes! Quote

Ghost Rider doesn't have to come in the set, so that doesn't matter as much in my opinion, but what does matter is the fact that Coulson, one of the individual elements and also Lola, are both being included in an upcoming set. That suggests to me that LEGO would play it off as AOS being covered by that set. Quote
Tom Jurassic Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 If we do, however, see the Agents of SHIELD set, I'd hope for something like this: LEGO: AGENTS OF SHIELD - DEATHLOK SHOWDOWN 1x Scaled-Down S.H.I.E.L.D Quinjet (All Grey this time, as opposed to Black/Grey/Blue) with some slight blue highlights here and there. Space for two people in the cockpit. Spring-loaded missiles built into the sides of the body. Adjustable wings. Fold down troop bay ramp with Fitz/Simmons portable lab attached to the ramp, which can fold open to reveal two computer screens. 1x S.H.I.E.L.D 4x4 with Opening Doors, Flickfire Missiles, and Rear Trunk storage space with The Destroyer. 1x Coulson (S3 Appearance) with S.H.I.E.L.D Badge, 1x Agent May with Blaster, 1x Quake, 1x Mac with Axe, 1x Fitz with Laptop and Sleepy, 1x Simmons with Beaker, 1x Deathlok, 1x Grant Ward with Blaster 'Grant Ward has taken the evil Deathlok and programmed him for his own nefarious means! Bring in the S.H.I.E.L.D Quinjet and drop off Fitz/Simmons lab to anaylse his abilities, whilst distracting him with the Quinjet's missiles. Then, bring in the S.H.I.E.L.D 4x4 so Agent Coulson can stop Deathlok once and for all with the Destroyer gun and put Ward in cuffs' Quote

Digger of Bricks Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 (edited) There are many viable options for future MCU based D2C sets, such as the SHIELD Quinjet, the Guardians' Milano, the Hulkbuster suit, etc. But, putting viability aside, it would be really cool to see some of many HYDRA vehicles featured in Captain America: The First Avenger as UCS sets, particularly Schmidt's Coupe in a Creator Expert scale. But for that matter, any of Hydra's many, Dieselpunk-esque vehicles would make for amazing sets, UCS or otherwise. Edited March 10, 2019 by Digger of Bricks Quote

Out of those I think the Milano and a full minifig scale Quinjet are the best bets. A minifig scaled Milano could be a serious $250-300 set. I have gathered it is smaller than the Millenium Falcon is (thankfully so hopefully a $800 price tag is off the table) but the Milano would be big enough to really warrant a special set. The Quinjet was pretty close to scale in the first Avengers wave, but bulking it up with a scale interior could bring us a nice $150 set that is more detailed than the original was with all the proper fans and outlets etc... If we were to really get some MCU D2C's again, the other possible options are the Sanctum Sanctorium modular building sized, or Tony Stark's Malibu Mansion at a similar scale. Speaking in general, I think Lego's biggest omission from the MCU line up right now is the lack of representation for films prior to the first Avengers. I would be happy to get some smaller sets based on some of the older films. Like a $30 "Monoco Raceway Battle" with Whiplash, Iron Man Mark V armor, Pepper and Happy with the limo and racecar from the scene; or a "Thor v. The Destroyer" with Thor, Jane Foster, a brick built Destroyer and something like a small "play feature abundant" gas station. As much as I would love Captain America: The First Avenger sets too, its WWII themes means only the fictional designs could really be covered by Lego, so maybe a larger set with the Hydra Train with Bucky, Captain, some Hydra goons, and maybe some Howling Commandos. Outside of the dieselpunk Hyrda stuff though the rest of that film is probably to "realistic" for Lego's tastes in terms of a period war toy. The problem though especially this year, is Lego seems to treat Marvel as a vehicle to sell cool figures and not cool sets. I wish we had a better balance of both, since so many of the 2017 Marvel sets were duds compared to previous years. I'd hope Lego returns to form in a future year. Quote

As far as the Milano goes, here is a great UCS scale MOC of the spacecraft by Tyler Clites (a.k.a. Legohaulic) made up of about 1500 pieces. If Lego were to ever consider such a set, Tyler's model gives us what I think would be a viable direction for such a possibility. Edited March 10, 2019 by Digger of Bricks Quote
