Posted August 18, 20159 yr i have the lego system sets 1306, 1307,1308 and 1309, complete in boxes. year was 1956 & 1957. could these possibly be the first four sets ever released?
August 18, 20159 yr I think you need to define "LEGO system" and "set" before anyone can answer your question. Are you only considering bricks with bottom tubes? What about older tubeless bricks, or the even older slotted bricks? What about interlocking plastic bricks that were made by Ole Kirk Christiansen in the early 50s but were not yet branded LEGO? August 18, 20159 yr I'd agree that you need to decide what you're meaning by "LEGO System set" as there were others that were marketed as Lego Mursten and System i Leg in 1955. Some examples: http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/1210_Small_Store_Set http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/1236_Garage_Med_Automatisk_Port http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/1237_Esso_Station Still, those are very nice early sets you have.
