Spirit Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Here's my 14th M:Tron MOC: the Autonomous Mobile Greenhouse, Acclimatization and Seeding Machine ! (Click on pics for bigger versions.) The AMGASM is one of the flagships of the terraforming M:Tron crews. Its three greenhouses help to acclimatize plants, micro-organisms, worms and insects. Its water tank collects rainwater and water from the ground to optimize the acclimatization to the direct environment. The living organisms are then taken and dropped on the ground after it's been plowed. Its very slow progress, only 16km a day in optimal conditions, is the main reason for its full automation. Maintenance is done daily, although almost entirely unnecessary. A crane keeps the small M:Tron vehicles (such as those from the Mega Core Magnetizers) nearby during the daily monitoring. The cockpit allows manual control and setting of the tools and devices. Finally, the upper platform is accessible through a trap door located above the entrance. There, I hope you liked it. :) Quote
MECHALEX Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Like it? I love it - it's great both conceptually and in its realisation. Quote
SpacerSteve Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Wow way cool! Neat idea using the ball joints to make a small step under the door. The cockpit is cool too. Nice and spacious. Great work Quote
Danorak81 Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Looks really cool. M-Tron is my favourite of all the themed space sets. Despite owning a lot of sets from new, I've yet to complete the series: however I dream of being able to collect red, black and trans neon-green bricks and parts so I could build my own stuff. Looks good! Quote
Spirit Posted August 31, 2015 Author Posted August 31, 2015 Thanks all. :) @Umbra-Manis & SpacerSteve: I think I'll never be able to build a ship or vehicle without a large cockpit and interior again, it's just much more fun for me. I can only hope they'll release more big trans-neon-green parts someday. @Danorak: I almost gave up trying to collect the entire series myself, I'm still missing the Stellar Recon Voyager (I only have half of it) and an original Mobile Satellite Up-Link (although that's not really an issue). Can't wait to see more M:Tron around. Good luck finding parts. Quote
Danorak81 Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Snap! They're the same models I'm after-Stellar Recon always seems to command good money, with or without a box. With regards to the Satellite link up, obtaining the parts for that is pretty easy thankfully! Once my collection of bricks starts to increase (at the moment it looks like a very well organised oversized collection of Lego 'Basic'!) and I can start getting a little more intricate with my details, M:Tron is something I'd like to tackle! Don't hold your breath for anything in the near future though, but I will keep my eyes peeled here! Quote
derpybricks Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 GASM alright! What a sick build. I think the tracks make it work much better than wheels for some reason. Looks like it's a hulking mass in need of some sturdier traction. Quote
