A yellow beach house - that's brilliant! We didn't get apartment houses for years - so this has been the absolutely right decision of TLC to release a new apartment house! I hope it will include a palm and a little boat, too?!

By the way: Jamtf, will there be a post office, a new cargo/passenger ship and some more Star Wars sets from episode 4-6 in 2008, too?

The yellow beach house will not include a palm or little boat. It is not exactly a beach house but a small house like older sets such as 6365 and 6370 for instance. The dealer catalogue named it beach house for some undisclosed reason. I recall that this house once again is part of the Creator line so there is no sign of a new leisure / Paradisa style line.

The 2008 catalogue only included pictures of sets available during the first months. It did not include a post office or cargo ship. The SW sets included a new yellow Jedi Starfighter, that Rogue thing, a dropship with a few clone trooper or stormtrooper minifigs (I always have trouble keeping them apart) and a hallfire droid set.

But who knows what the 2008 Fall and Winter catalogue will bring. If the new post line sells well, I can imagine that Lego would expand it.

A few quick questions: What kind of truck is this? Is it a tractor with semi-trailer or is it a box-truck or? And the color? And how's the fork-lift?

The truck looks a bit like the 6348 Surveillance Squad set. A small tractor with a semi trailer if memory serves me correctly. The combination will be in green and white just like the big cargo plane. The color scheme is best compared to the colors used by the German police (Polizei). Again, I forgot to look at the details of the fork lift.

That would probably be that 29.99 house from creator. Yay. Did it have a black roof? (Me needs black roof tiles :) )

Yes, castle will be very nice. Watch out for big greens trolls pulling battle wagons and little trolls being their boss. Also, the dwarf's mining is astonishing. Very nice set (if you do not care about the new dark blue and reddish brown brick combination) with excellent minifigs and finally beards that match the LotR Gimli character. I think the beards had 2 little knots on each end and were available in red, brown and black. That is what caught my eye. The whole new line has that typical Lord of the Rings atmosphere if you ask me.

Also, the impulse line will include 2 different castle characters, a fully armed knight with weapons and a grey (good?) wizard with magic wand and some other accessories wearing a black hood and cape. He had a white star pattern on his chest and legs. Maybe he is the counterpart of the evil red wizard with the Ogel face. Instead of making a minifig pack with 5 guys, TLC decided to sell knights and other minifigs per piece so you can decide how large your army must be. And this new impulse line will most likely be sold in supermarkets too.

This is not critics of course since the building is excellently done and I like it a lot but I always tend to think a Lego post office is usually a smaller building with all sorts of colorful accents like the 6362 set.

The standard knight is really a standard blue and grey knight minifig suited for army building and just like those already available in the current line of sets, even the cheaper ones. It even has the flared silver helmet with nose guard and not one with a flip-up visor but I think he comes with the extra armor piece with the crown emblem.

so the chess set might be a better army builder. it's about $2 per mf, vs $3.99 for the impulse set. unless the impulse set has something extra. i don't count the armor as extra though. :-P

can you describe the accessories for both the sentry and the wizard sets? they could be ripping us blind if it's just like PAB mf... no more than 5 parts (head, torso, legs, hair/head gear, armor) and 1 accessory.

The truck with forklift has the dimensions of the 6348 Surveillance Squad set. Tractor and trailer, that is all that I can remember. Imagine the new Cement Mixer and Garbage Truck as a tractor with a trailer behind it.

The big cargo plane is a plane with minifigs and some cargo most likely.

The post plane includes 1 minifig I think and nothing else than a few accessories. It is a medium set just like all smaller helicopter and 1 minifig plane sets that we have seen in the past. I expect it to be somewhere in the 15 to 20 euro range.

I yesterday could take a look in a 2008 retail catalog in my local special toyshop. The shopowner knows me, but he says he get trouble if he or any body else put the pictures on internet.

this I what I remember:

impulse, but there is a other thread for it,

Policestation: big black/white buiding without raised baseplate, 1 old garagedoor like the 2 in the firestation, 2 cells, a brown dog, a big busines town lookalike.

Police waterplane: big plane, <insert that tiresome argument> pieces, 2 floaters, I think it can be used in the bathtub.

Police crisis truck: abit like the 2002 version, computers in the back, a little police building with it.

Postcar: little car with postman(I thought with uniform), tleast one letter and a good old fashioned letterbox, but then in red.

Little postplane: 90ies style yellow plane without <insert that tiresome argument> pieces

Big postplane: in an other thread there is a picture of it

Ferrari: there shall be this year microscale ferraries, no minifigs

Racers: there will be normal racres and racers from a new movie, so a new license
