UsernameMDM Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Anyone know anything about 2010 Castle sets? Any retailer catalog info or anything? Quote
Sandy Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I think we would be one of the first ones to know, if someone had news. It seems TLG has been more successful in keeping next year's sets under the wraps than in the previous years. But I still have plenty of this year's sets to buy (the Troll Castle being one of them), so I'm in no hurry to get more. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 It seems TLG has been more successful in keeping next year's sets under the wraps than in the previous years. It would be easy to keep them under the wraps if there are none to wrap. Quote
metalandi Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 To be honest i wouldn't mind if castle would take a year off, cause there are so many great sets out now i don't have yet, and i need some time to get them all before new ones are coming Quote
KimT Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 It would be easy to keep them under the wraps if there are none to wrap. They might not be releasing any new castle sets next year. My guess is we'll just have to wait another year for more. Not that its that important. There's plenty of great castle sets right now and I wouldn't mind getting multiples of them. The Cobra Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 I suggest you all to not wait for too long to buy these sets, because if sellings go anything like the last two years, some sets will disappear within Christmas time and never come back. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Word over at Classic Castle is that we will see castle sets in 2010. Just don't know what they will be. Itchin' for some spoilers! Quote

posades Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Thanks for the heads up Although many other sources say they'll be having a break By other sources do you mean xwingyoda and Brick Horizon? I'd really like them to make at least 2 or 3 new sets for '10, but like others I won't be completely devastated if they take a year off (as long as they keep producing and selling the current Castle sets on S@H). Forresto Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 It's strange that there are no leaked photos of 2010 castle sets because most of the Star wars Janurary prlim photos are out. Maybe there are'nt any castle sets next year Quote
Sandy Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I have to remind everyone again that the sets we've seen lists and prelims of are all scheduled to be released in January. There are still plenty of sets coming up later next year (like Prince of Persia in April), and I have little doubt that there are at least a few Castle sets among them. Quote
sologuy369 Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Can I have a link to the EXACT spot for the castle '10 news? Quote
Sir Dillon Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Can I have a link to the EXACT spot for the castle '10 news? There isn't one because as of now we don't have any news. As far as I know there will be no new castle sets in the upcoming January wave, and anything beyond that is just speculation. Quote
Forresto Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 That just sucks that it looks like Lego is slowing down with the castle sets. First pirates and quite possibly next castle. I really hope that Lego has just stepped it up with keeping photos from being leaked. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Doesn't look like we will be getting Castle sets for the first half of '10, so keep on the look out for a Castle summer wave. Quote

I really hope that Lego has just stepped it up with keeping photos from being leaked. We have been blessed with a real big load of new castle sets in the last 3 years, i have no problem if they'd pass out the line for a year now, to be honest. It will for sure be continued, before they close this line, hell would freeze over. Quote
Earendil Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Here in Germany the Trolls Mountain Fortress, Drawbridge Defense and King's Battle Chariot will be released in "normal" shops in January, I think. They only can be bought in Lego brand stores or online. So We won't have to wait so long for the new sets. But new name probably means no elves But I have still hope. - a real small Quote

And surely Germany has much larger market than our puny country. Quote
phoinix Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 this line is my favorite the past 2 years (besides city) i would hate to see it finish. but the fact that we have no news yet sounds like but news to me.. lego is doing all these license sets and they are forgetting about their own lines. i dont want prince of persia or indiana jones or toy story or ben 10 i just want the castle line to continue!! lets just wait (wish) and see. Well, here in austria there also is no sight of the new castle sets in any shops so far. @phoinix: Who ever said that the line will be stopped? They just seem to wanna change the name of it, which actually shows they are interested in continuing it. And also, there are other people, that like the lines of prince of persia and stuff. Quote

The Cobra Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 As for Italy, the Troll fortress is a toy-store exclusive, Chariot and drawbridge should hit shopping malls too. But they surely have been around since mid-September. It's odd to hear that some European countries have still to see them. Quote
phoinix Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 so i send an email to lego and asked them if they plan to continue the castle line and if they plan to discontinue the existing sets. this is the answer i got. "We never abandon our original ideas and the design team in Denmark comes back to the themes which are popular. We will stop producing the King's Castle Siege set in 12.2009, which we launched in 2007. However, it doesn't mean it won't be available- it actually depends on retailer's stock. If you enquire that castle sets are sold really fast in your area, you should probably start stocking on them. Despite this, don't worry you will never be able to buy castle sets, because we launch new ones, slightly upgraded and different, so that our customerrs never get bored! We can't give you the information about future sets before their release, but please check our website for any new information. " Quote
