KimT Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 Nice find! That wasn't there when I visited shop@home yesterday! *sweet* Darn! It's already sold out on the Danish S@H *n* *n* *n* |-/ KimT Quote
Shakar Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 That's great to see, however two things seem weird to me: -Is the set already sold out? -Why is the set name "Troll Assault Wagon The trolls are attacking!"? Shakar Quote
jifel Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 1. probably a description in the title. 2. trolls and giant trolls. perhaps the giant trolls are just an occasional mutation. jifel Quote
Vader Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 That's great to see, however two things seem weird to me:-Is the set already sold out? -Why is the set name "Troll Assault Wagon The trolls are attacking!"? Shakar I checked the legos website just an hour before the link was posted, so i believe it was never available to order in the first place. I wonder if they just put that because they don't yet have enough available. No idea why they have the name as trolls but it's not a big thing. Quote
narf Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Hello all, LOL - silly long name on one set but still an overall WOW 2008 product line!!!!! My dream castle MOC would be a massive LOTR style battle but.... Until now my armies has been limited to only two races, Human & Undead. Humans might be from say castle, forest or ninja sets while the undead was skeleltons, ghouls and Tusken raiders(Look in those eyes! lol). The Dwarves - I hope they make this minifig avail in more sets b/c I already have several canapults otherwise the dwarves mine is the only other army builder opportunity. Ohh and the helmet is super cool Troll AKA Orc - I have read the name debate back and forth on this forum but as far as I am concerned a little troll is an orc. Giant Troll - This guy will be out numbered in my collection but at 3" Tall they will not be forgotten. Not too sure if I will like the tan or green color Trolls better..... As for the Bow & Quiver I can't decide. I like the look of the quiver but prefer the look of a crossbow vs longbow for the hands... But at the same time my forestmen and wolfpak minifigs dont quite look right in a large MOC environment packing a crossbow, darn colors..... Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Good to see that such a good set is on LSAH , but it is already sold out on the U.K LSAH!! |-/ Quote
TheFrisian Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Troll AKA Orc - I have read the name debate back and forth on this forum but as far as I am concerned a little troll is an orc. AMEN! As for the Bow & Quiver I can't decide. I like the look of the quiver but prefer the look of a crossbow vs longbow for the hands... But at the same time my forestmen and wolfpak minifigs dont quite look right in a large MOC environment packing a crossbow, darn colors..... I know what you mean. Personally, I prefer longbows over crossbows, but I'm not that fond of the fixed arrow design. I'd be very VERY happy if TLC introduced a new longbow design! (Would go well with Elves as well, if TLC were to introduce that faction into the current fantasy based Castle theme ;-)) Quote

TheFrisian Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I'm soooo loving the jester and the wench!!! *wub* Got to get me those figs! :'-) I'm actually not that familiar with Advent Calendars, what can I expect if I should buy one? (What's in them besides the figs?) Are they worth the money? Quote
Tohst Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 What? *wacko* Simple logic, old chum. It has already been stated that Lego tries to limit the number of molds it is producing at any one time. (Article about Lego's process improvements that helped lead to the revenue turnaround. Please don't make me look for it) It has already been stated that one of the characters the Lego Mini-fig designers wanted to get into the Batman line was Harley Quinn. (On the Legion of Gotham website by a designer) We have new Batman sets coming out and lo and behold, a Jester's hat mold shows up in castle. Ergo Facto Proxy Epoxy, we are getting a Harley Quinn who will use that same Jester's hat mold. I didn't think it was that much of a reach but , yes, I have been wrong before -Tohst FACT - Formula 409 was actually not as good as 407 or 408 Quote
DoubleT Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I think you are right *y* But nice with a jester, and other new good minifigs.. TheFrisian there is small brick build things in the calendar.. a table etc.. stuff that relate to a minifig. A Fire hydrant to a firefighter etc.. Quote
TheFrisian Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Very logical deduction Tohst, you're probably right at that. Thanks DoubleT! At a price of around Quote
Piranha Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 closeup of the maiden: *wub* Thanks *wub* :-P Such a great fig, Our first Castle Citizen, and its a lady!! 8- Quote

What confused me, however, was the "fact" you put at the end of the post which I now see is a random sign-off. The fact and the end of your last post was in fact an opinion and since it was Batman related as is Harley Quinn I was way thrown off at what you were getting at, assuming all the words in your post were somehow relevant to eachother. However, the jester's hat I fully understood from the beginning. Quote
blueandwhite Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Several new torso prints just for this advent calender? does anybody else get the feeling that there is another Castle set yet to be revealed? The Witch, Jester and peasant girl scream new set. I can't imagine LEGO producing 3 new figure prints solely for a calender. I'm very excited about this. The Jester and the peasant girl already stand out as being better than anything in the Castle line to date! Quote

I couldn't either, the laws of gravity won't allow it! X-O This set is beautiful! This, and the MM ones are priority! Quote
