Scouty Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I would not be able to actually use it as an advent calendar. I'll be opening it all in whatever month it's released... Nov Control...:-P These are very interesting, thank you a bunch for posting these pictures. A must buy for me just because of all the goodies! I cand deffinately find a use of that maiden's torso to become a wench *pirate* ! Quote
iamded Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 :'-) :'-) :'-) Wonderful! Great new minifigs that we've all been asking for! :'-) Thanks Hinckley!! ~Peace Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Magnificent! *wub* *wub* *wub* 12 days after Christmas and we've already seen the next advent calendar? :-D Could this be the special surprise at the end of the year TLC was talking about? Great find, Hinckley *wub* Quote
Piranha Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Could this be the special surprise at the end of the year TLC was talking about? Has to be, since they said it was a "Special End of the year release" ;-) I really want to see the Goodies inside!! Hope the Wench/maiden was a market stand with fruit! 8- Quote
KimT Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Finally a non-City non-Creator advent calendar *wub* *wub* *wub* (not counting belville and clickits since they're sissy). I can't wait for this calendar to hit the shelves. I hope LEGO will spend most of the coming year producing these babies, since I'm pretty sure they'll sell more than well. KimT I hope we can get the Jester before next Christmas though. Quote
xwingyoda Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 For once I hope they won't change anything on this preliminary pic :-P 3 new figs out of a total of 9 is Okie but I thought there would be more new figs in there. Great to see a jester and a hottie maiden (for once we see civilians !! lets hope that becomes a trend for 09 !!), also a black witch is always welcome !! Our evil sorcerer/necromancer was feeling lonely up his tower :-P I am not so happy regarding several figs like the black skellie, the mounted knight & guard |-/ But its great to have 1 more skellie, dwarf and orc !! I do wonder what will the extras be 8- Quote
Shadows Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I would have never expected this ... It's just amazing. First Castle advent calendar, first real civilians (I count the jester also), undead skeleton warriors to make the holiday season bright (huh?). Hey, I'm not complaining, even if I have always thought it was odd to see some kinds of things mixed in as Christmas decor. Ok, so I own a light up Death Star tree ornament. Just shut up already. :-/ Brilliant find, beautiful set (what we can tell so far), all too much for mere words. I'll also agree with the sentiment that this won't stay sealed for more than 10 minutes after I touch it, even if that means opening it in the car. *wub* Quote

Vader Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Looks like a great new calander, hopefully everything will stay the same as i just love the new figs. Jester on baby!!! *wub* Quote
xwingyoda Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 3 figs?! That's great, considering how many new figs the city calendars got :-/ i agree that the black skellie was a waste of a minifig, but oh well. I agree that 3/9 is enourmous but I have been told several months ago that there would have been more new figs in there ;-) As for extras, I think it's safe to say there'll be a weapons rack and some sort of small catapult :-| :-D I hope the extras are distributed amongst all of the factions, not just ones for the crownies. Unfortunatly its safe to assume that X-D I don't really care for the factions extras (will be the same things as impulse sets more or less) BUT I am intregued with the 2 civilians ones !! I do have high expectations there (and I probably shouldn't :-P ) 8- Quote
Shakar Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I love you, Lego. Castle is back. *wub* Shakar Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Frankly im not all too excited for castle - although its not my style I do respect it, im justa space man! I must say I did pick up a kings castle seige on clearance - and boy did I love it! Such originallity, little juniorization, and such play value - I could see myself getting to castle if I wasnt already a space fanatic! This year in castle is very interesting - I must also say, however, Im not too terribly impressed with the line this year - no large castles, buildings, just a remake of the viking boat and and odd wheel thing? Albeit theyre nice - I'm just complaining in that I like fortifications :-P Quote
Athos Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I hope this isn't the end of the year surprise, as it would make my theory about a UCS Neuschwanstein incorrect. Other than that, it looks great! Steve Quote
legocastleman Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I was about to post this, but then I saw it here. I can't wait to get this! Maybe we will be seeing a husband for the peasant lady... Quote
alex54 Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 What a great advent calendar! I need it! Those new minifgs are really nice! They look a lot like the heroes in the Legoland Castle 3D movie! Quote
Derek Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Aww. I was hoping for a castle styled Santa! Im not comlaining though... Dp8 Quote
Wout Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 This set looks terriffic :'-) Waiting for christmas on! :-D Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 (edited) Hinckley just posted this imageimage removed All I can say is *wub* *wub* *wub* Citizen Lady!!Dwarf!Troll!!Jester!!!! :'-) That has to be the super special item at the end of the year! Thanks sooo much Hinckley! This is great news! P Thank you very much for that news, Hinckley and Piranha! Even though I hate the new "Castle" theme this advent calendar is amazing! It was already for a long time due that there are advent calendars which aren't only based on the City theme (and Belville/Clickits)! I really *wub* the citizen lady and the jester! Wow! That's Castle! I'm really not interested in the dwarf, in the orc and in the two skellies, the two good knights are OK but the rest is 8- Edited January 20, 2008 by Hinckley Quote

Joey Lock Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Thank you for that information, legomilk!19,99 Euro is very much money for an advent calendar - but since it includes these amazing three minifigs (jester, citizen lady and this minifig with the black dress) it's OK and I'll surely buy it - although it's only for these three minifigs! I was wondering What is in it? Since usually you build something up over the Holiday. But this shows a castle and the Evil and Good? Your not gonna get the castle. And theres 24 Days and only 9 Minifigs? Cant be opening 1 Fig each day. Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 (edited) Thanks Hinckley! A jester! *wub* I will need a whole army of them! Edited January 6, 2008 by Lord Of Pies Quote
