ExoBuilder Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Wow. That is a massive picture of a rat. I guess TLC really wants us to know that it includes a rat. ~Peace Hold up.......There's going to be a rat in it? I definately want this now! Quote
WhiteFang Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Sorry guys, don't mean to provide an older info! I thought this should be the correct impulse set since it reflect the box art Quote

Shakar Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Hmm...pics are gone from S@H's cache....as always they tease us for a bit, then they remove the pics. Still, if I understand correctly the version with the brown dressed orc is the final one, so I say yay! In my army those are the ordinary soldiers, while the dark bley dressed orcs are the leaders. While I liked the idea of a cheap way to get the armour I wouldn't have liked having leaders that outnumber the soldiers, like it was on KKII. That was the problem of black skellies as well..I had originally planned to use them as leaders, but I had to give up when I ended up having an army where the ratio between white skellies and black skellies is almost 1:1. So I'll buy a few of these, but not lots...3 Euro for fig isn't a fantastic deal. I'll buy some from BL as well, hoping that they'll make a Orc Battle Pack in the future. Right now my Great Orc Army consits of....5 orcs. Shakar Quote
yellost Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 What rat anyway i reckon ye old impulse would hath ben betterthed Same here... I guess they didn't put the armour in to have one more appeal in the bigger sett that contains it... Oh well, at lieast we get a rat... I haven't got one, yet... Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Not only is it an easy way to get a grey rat(I THINK, I THINK, I already have one, but I doubt it) but it's also an easy way to stock up on the new flick fire missiles for scrap to make additional RPG missiles! (provided you scrapped the 'siege engine' ) Quote
Derek Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Thats strange that those pics are on s@h. I dont even think the wizard impulse isnt even on there... They must want to release the orc and wizrd with the rest of the new sets... Quote
concreteasflesh Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 There isnt even a flick fire piece in the back, TLC wants kids to use their fingers directly to flick fire them? I smell lawsuits with broken fingers... Anyways, I dont understand the logic of the missile with no firing mechanism and I know its Castle Fantasy but what next? Mystic Elves with Nuclear Silos and Laser Sight Mounted Bows? just kidding but I think the older model itself would of been a better choice even without the leader fig with armor and using the current fig. Just my opinion. Quote

Just my opinion. OK Mr. Complainer, explain to me in full how a Panzerfaust, a Panzershrek, a U.S. Bazooka, a universal R.P.G., a P.I.A.T, an AT-4 Rocket launcher, and a L.A.W. fire. In detail. How else? How do you fire your Hailfire Droid missiles? How do you shoot your proton torpedoes on your Y-wing or your Jedi Starfighter(Anakin's)? And how in Sam Heck are you gonna shoot Indy's RPG without 'breaking' your finger? Seriously though, I've used my fingernails and my hands for a lot more than thwacking Legos, and they survived. Do you expect the world's next generation of children to grow up with soft fingers? Quote

Theres no denying it's a fantastic set, and the price isn't as exaggerated as some say, I'd like to see a review one day. I want it, but I'm not buying it. It's a reasonable price at only £140, but I just can't justify spending all that money on a chess set when I don't actually play chess. I'm not particularly good either, the kids in chess club (in a primary school, where I volunteer) are better than me. I did pick up Dwarf Mine Defence the other day. I would have picked up more, but couldn't afford it, so just to get my Lego fix, I bought that. I love it! The trolls and the dwarf are effortlessly cool, and the catapult's not half bad either. I know what you mean though, when I first got that set, as well as my first Dwarf, I was so happy! That Dwarf is awesome, and the catapult is pretty sweet, I can see that machine munching through hordes of skellies. ~Peace Quote

Brainbox Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Still, Dwarves Mine looks so cool, I want it! I think I might have to get it as well. That's another £40 to budget in, but frankly, Lego comes before everything else with regards spending. Quote
