cagri Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Sorry Holli, no pics :) I posted the list here too, the three new sets remember ? Quote
Sandy Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Heh, metalandi was talking about a poster, as in "a person who posts", not a picture. A funny misunderstanding, although a real poster of the upcoming sets would be dreamy! Quote
metalandi Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I'm surry if this caused any misunderstanding, but sandy is right, with poster i meant "the person that posted the thread" Anyway, as i said i sent a pm to this guy and asked what it was he posted. Quote
KimT Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Yeah, a new poster like this: And this: Would be great Quote
The Brick Rat Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 First, i don't really know what this is about, but while surfimng over classic castle i found a thread named "awesome website", with the content of the post beeing deleted and instead written by the admins: "Link to leaks removed by Admin". I assume the poster found something interesting about 2009 sets, but i don't know if pictures or only the list we already know, or if it even has got to do something witch castle. Anyway, i pm'ed him and i'll let you know when i get an answer. You can check out the closed thread here: http://www.classic-castle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15826 Don't get too excited. I saw this post before the admins removed it. It was simply a link to Brickset that listed the four 2009 Castle sets we already know about. Quote
metalandi Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Thanks for the clarification. It would have been too good Quote
WhiteFang Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Seriously, I am looking forward to the new images for Castle 2009. The suspense is killing me though. I need to estimate how many sets will I need for 2009. With so many great themes coming up, it's hard to have extra funding to support my defence budget. Somehow, the Troll Fortress will be something similar with the Viking Stronghold or the recent Agents Volcano base. I am quite sure it will be based something similar like this. Furthermore, I am sure some of you could have remember the recent Giant Castle Chess set, which have one of the 4 realms. Perhaps, it will be model something similar to this. Quote

Man, and I thought BZP was tough on leakages... Quote

Unless you're thinking of the medieval market village Quote
metalandi Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I'm pretty much sure he means the 10193 set. Quote
The Brick Rat Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Yup. 10193 Market Square is one of the four Castle sets listed on Brickset for 2009. Quote
hollisbrick Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Sorry Holli, no pics :) I posted the list here too, the three new sets remember ? Of corse I remember I thought you meant a poster poster. LIUke a picture one Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Yesterday evening I had an idea: Might it be that the Drawbridge Defense set includes a drawbridge of the orcs which is attacked by the crownies? I know that that sounds a bit - but you can never know. As for the troll's fortress I think that - like someone already wrote - it'll be very similar to the Viking fortress, too. But I don't think that there'll be a lot of landscape and foliage which comes with it - perhaps some rock pieces, but that'll it. Perhaps TLG even uses the new wall bricks with the little "window" in it. Klaus-Dieter Quote
WhiteFang Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Hey guys, I am not sure if anyone have heard about the new minifig which is similar to a "Gold Knight". It will replace by the usual silver knight. At this moment, I have no confirmation of the image. I got this from a reliable source. If this is prove to be true, there will be much excitement which we all can look forward to. In addition, the Jester will be making another appearence in one of the 3 sets. Seriously, I can't wait for 2009. Quote

I have not checked with all the sources yet. For those wondering about the reliable source that WhiteFang mentioned above... we just had a Lego traders' conference right here in Singapore, so they are pretty reliable. Were you told anything else about 2009? The idea of the Gold Knight sounds cool, maybe he will be in that special aniversary set? Ihope that chariot set is a cheap one! I can't wait to see! Quote

Is it going to be like the collect-a-silver-armor-helmet-and-weapon sets released some years ago? Quote

Not totally sure, but by silver knight, I think he means this one: As for the other stuff, I'll wait until I see pics. A gold knight sounds crappy IMHO, seeing as no proper knight would use gold as armour. Edited December 1, 2008 by sir dano Quote

I was wondering which set is it going to appear. From one of the sources which attend the conference, it seemed there is a wide range of new minifigs including the recent figs. One of the new minifig range is actually a gold armored knight. At that moment, the first thing it reminds me is the KK2 golden armor soldier in the Battle at the Pass for example. I can't be sure, but we need to wait for a week plus or so until I am able to secure the images. I can't be certain that I am able get it, but I will try. A gold knight?A silver knight? Sorry KimT for the confusion. I meant the silver knight which Sir Dano has pointed above. Thanks for pointing it out. That was the knight which I am refering to. It seemed there is a possibility of a new knight range to protect the Crownies. I have not seen the image yet. I am praying that it will look something awesome and amazing. Let's wait until the pics are reveal. Quote
KimT Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 So we're talking knights in this armor?: That would be awesome. A castle elite corps Quote
The Rancor Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Opened the first door in my advent calendar. ..To find a generic knight. I get the feeling it'll get better over time. Quote
